WHEN KNOWING IS NOT ENOUGH

Praying for Believers Who Practice the Word

SCRIPTURE ANCHOR

“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.” James 1:22 KJV

TODAY’S FOCUS

We live in a time of abundant Christian teaching. Sermons, books, podcasts, conferences, videos, devotionals, and Bible studies are readily available.

However, spiritual maturity is not measured by how much truth we have heard. Truth must become practice. Today, we pray for a Church that does not merely know the Word, but lives it.

TODAY’S PRAYER FOCUS

1. Obedience: Pray that believers will respond to biblical truth with action rather than continually accumulating knowledge without change.

2. Consistency: Pray that our private conduct will agree with the faith we profess publicly.

3. Practical discipleship: Pray for churches and ministries that teach believers how to apply Scripture to relationships, decisions, habits, responsibilities, and everyday life.

4. Self-examination: Pray that we will examine ourselves by the Word before using it primarily to examine others.

JOIN TODAY’S PRAYER WATCH

Ask yourself: What truth do I already know that I need to practice?” Let today’s prayer begin there.

#PRAYEROFAGREEMENT

Abba Father, Make us doers of Your Word.  Deliver us from accumulating truth without applying it. Bring our conduct into agreement with what we profess, and give us grace to obey what You have already shown us. Let Your Word become visible in the way we live. In the matchless name of Jesus Christ, Amein.

WATCHMAN’S DECLARATION

I will not be satisfied with knowing the truth.

By God’s grace, I will practice what I have learned and allow His Word to govern how I live.

SWATS PRAYER CHALLENGE

Identify one biblical truth you already know and deliberately practice it today.

PONDER THIS

The Word we know becomes transformative when it becomes the Word we live.
