“And Samuel said, Speak; for thy servant heareth.” 1 Samuel 3:10 KJV
Apostolic Insight:
Refinement was never the destination; It prepared us for faithful living.
We entered Quarter 3 learning to trust the Refiner; Then we learned to walk worthy of the refining.
This month we discovered that there is purpose in refinement, for because God intends to use us, He shapes our lives to become increasingly useful in His hands.
We saw His purpose in craftsmen and kings, midwives and mentors, prisoners and prophets.
We also saw His purpose in people who spoke, who listened, who led, who supported, who stayed, who stepped aside, who prepared something they would never personally finish.
And now we arrive at Samuel, the young servant standing before God with one uncomplicated posture, said:“Speak; for thy servant heareth.”
Perhaps that is the right place to finish this quarter.
Purpose is not a trophy we discover and place on a shelf, it is an ongoing life of responsiveness to God.
Although assignments change, seasons and capacity changes, and our responsibilities at twenty may not be our responsibilities at seventy, the posture still remains: Speak, Lord, I am listening, I am available, and I am still Yours.
Ponder This:
After everything God has developed in me this quarter, am I still listening for His next instruction?
Declaration:
My life remains available to God.
I carry forward the wisdom of refinement without becoming imprisoned by a former season.
I am ready to hear, obey, serve, release, and move according to His direction.
#PrayerOfAgreement
Father, thank You for walking with us through this season of refinement.
Thank You for every correction that produced wisdom, every pruning that made room for healthier fruit, every test that strengthened faith, and every lesson that prepared us for greater usefulness.
We surrender again our gifts, experience, influence, relationships, resources, time, and remaining days to You.
Keep us teachable, discerning, faithful, humble, and useful.
When You say go, give us courage to move.
When You say stay, give us grace to remain.
When You say speak, govern our words.
When You say be silent, govern our tongues.
When You ask us to lead, make us servant-hearted.
When You ask us to support another, remove competition.
When our portion is complete, give us grace to release it.
And when a new assignment awaits, make us attentive enough to recognize it.
We do worship You Father, and not purpose. Our desire is not merely to accomplish something significant, but to be faithful to Your will.
As this quarter closes, we carry forward what You have formed within us, and with Samuel we say: “Speak; for thy servant heareth.”
In the matchless name of Jesus Christ, Amein.
Shalom,
Hephzibah Christly
