Scripture Anchor:
“Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.” Proverbs 9:9 KJV
One of the dangers of growth is beginning to think you have arrived.
You know more now.
You recognize things faster.
Your discernment has improved.
Some old battles no longer trouble you.
You have learned restraint.
Your boundaries are stronger.
Your decisions are wiser.
Thank God for all of it.
But remain teachable.
Maturity does not mean God has nothing left to correct.
Wisdom does not mean you cannot be wrong.
Experience does not make you immune to blind spots.
And spiritual authority does not eliminate your need for instruction.
In fact, one evidence that refinement is doing its work is that correction becomes easier to receive.
You don’t have to defend everything, explain every mistake, or pretend you already knew. Sometimes the wisest response is simply: “I see it. I need to correct that.”
That is not weakness, it is maturity.
As we close Quarter 3 REFINED, don’t only ask how much stronger you have become.
Ask: Am I still teachable?
Can Scripture still correct me? Can wise counsel still reach me? Can I admit when I am wrong?
Can God interrupt my plans without fighting me for control? Can I learn from someone who knows something I don’t?
If the answer is yes, keep growing.
If the answer makes you uncomfortable, perhaps the Refiner has just shown you where His work continues.
Remember: The furnace did not graduate us from needing the Refiner.
Warfare Prayer:
Father, thank You for carrying me through this season of refinement.
Thank You for truth that has corrected me, knowledge that has brought deliverance, wisdom that has directed me, and faith through which I overcome.
I reject pride, defensiveness, spiritual complacency, and the assumption that growth has placed me beyond correction.
Keep my heart teachable, my ears open, and my spirit responsive to Your Word.
I declare that I will continue to grow, to learn, to adjust, and continue to mature.
I leave this quarter stronger, but still surrendered, Wiser, but still teachable, Proven, but still dependent upon You.
In the matchless name of Jesus Christ, Amein.
Shalom,
Hephzibah Christly
