Today’s #Snippet.

Scripture Anchor:

“And Nehemiah… said unto the king, Let the king live for ever: why should not my countenance be sad, when the city… lieth waste, and the gates thereof are consumed with fire?” Nehemiah 2:1, 3 KJV

Apostolic Insight:

Access becomes purpose when we use it for more than ourselves.

Nehemiah had access to the king. He could have used his position simply to maintain a comfortable life. Instead, the condition of Jerusalem troubled him.

When opportunity came, he used his access to address a need beyond himself.

Access carries responsibility.

Perhaps, you have someone’s ear, a seat at a table, knowledge others need, professional experience, a relationship that can open a legitimate door, a platform, resources, or influence within your family or community.

The question is not merely whether we have access. What are we doing with it?

Refined people do not use every relationship to advance themselves.

Sometimes God places us in rooms because someone or something outside that room needs a voice inside it.

Nehemiah’s proximity to power became part of Jerusalem’s restoration. Your access may also have an assignment attached to it.

Ponder This

Is there access God has given me that could be used to help someone beyond myself?

Declaration:

I will steward influence and access with integrity.

What God places within my reach will be used according to His purpose.

Father, thank You for giving me wisdom to manage every place of access You have entrusted to me.

Keep me from selfish ambition and careless use of influence.

Show me when to speak, when to ask, and when to use my position to strengthen others and advance what is right.
