Today’s #Snippet

Scripture Anchor:

“David prepared abundantly before his death.” 1 Chronicles 22:5 KJV

Apostolic Insight:

You do not have to finish everything, but you do need to finish what belongs to you.

David wanted to build the temple, but God told him that Solomon would build it instead.

Although David could have withdrawn in disappointment, if he could not complete the building himself, why bother?

But David understood something larger than personal recognition; He prepared materials, resources, plans, and organization. He made Solomon’s future assignment stronger through his present obedience.

Although David did not build the temple, he finished his portion of the temple assignment.

This is liberating.

Not everything God allows us to begin will be ours to complete personally. Some things we prepare, some  we plant, or we can lay foundations for another generation to build upon.

Faithfulness is not measured by whether our hands touched the final result; it is measured by whether we completed what God actually placed in our hands.

Ponder This:

Am I grieving what I cannot complete instead of faithfully finishing the portion that belongs to me?

Declaration:

 I will finish my portion faithfully.

I release the need to personally complete what God intends others to continue.

#PrayerOfAgreement

Father, I ask for clarity concerning the portion that belongs to me.

Deliver me from being disappointed when Your plan differs from my preference.

Help me to prepare well, build faithfully, and release freely, so those who come after me find something useful waiting for them.

In the matchless name of Jesus Christ, Amein.
