Scripture Anchor
“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:32 KJV
One of the clearest places to measure spiritual growth is in our relationships. It is easier to appear mature when nobody is irritating you. People reveal things.
How do you respond when someone disappoints you?:
1). Do you correct him or her without humiliating them?
2). Do you disagree without becoming disrespectful?
3). Do you establish a boundary without becoming cruel?
4). Do you forgive without pretending the wrong never happened?
5). Do you listen without preparing your defense while the other person is still talking?
Spiritual maturity does not mean allowing people to mistreat you. It means their behavior does not get to determine your character. You are still responsible for how you respond.
Remember: Someone else’s wrong behavior does not give you permission to abandon yours.
Warfare Prayer
Father, thank You for teaching me how to walk with people in wisdom, truth, and love.
Let every place where hurt has been governing my responses be healed and made whole.
I reject bitterness, retaliation, cruelty, and the need to repay wrong with wrong.
I receive wisdom to forgive, courage to establish necessary boundaries, and grace to remain Christlike without surrendering truth.
I declare that other people’s behavior will not recruit me into becoming someone I do not want to be.
In the matchless name of Jesus Christ, Amein.
Shalom,
Hephzibah Christly
