Prayer for Those Walking Through Loss

Scripture Anchor:

“The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.”

 Psalm 34:18 KJV

Prayer:

Abba Father,

Today we remember those who are carrying heavy burdens.

We lift before You families and individuals who have suffered the loss of loved ones, homes, livelihoods, health, relationships, security, and opportunities.

You are the God who sees every tear, hears every cry, and understands every pain.

We ask that Your presence surround those who are grieving and struggling to rebuild.

Strengthen those who feel weak, encourage those who feel forgotten, comfort those whose hearts are broken, and provide for those facing financial hardship and uncertainty.

Grant wisdom to those making difficult decisions and courage to those facing an unknown future.

Where loss has produced fear, release Your peace. Where disappointment has produced discouragement, restore hope.

And where tragedy has shaken faith, Father, reveal Yourself as the faithful God who remains near in every season.

Abba Father, we ask that what has been damaged will be repaired, what has been depleted will be replenished, and what has been broken will be restored according to Your will and purpose.

Help those who are suffering discover that they do not walk alone, for You walk through it all with them.

Let Your grace sustain them, Your mercy uphold them, and Your love carry them forward.

In the matchless name of Jesus Christ, Amein.

Ponder This:

Loss may change a season of life, but it does not change the faithfulness of God.

Shalom,

Hephzibah Christly
