KNOW GOD FOR YOURSELF:

Recently, I posted the question, ” please, where does it say in the Bible to use salt, anointing
oil, or water, for deliverance?”
It is so uplifting to know that there are many who stil abide by the Doctrines of Christ.
However, there are so many that are holding to a form of godliness but who by their words and actions, deny the power of God to heal, Save, deliver, and prosper.
My humble submission is based on the Truth of God’s Word from the following scriptures. They are too numerous to present here. Let me share just a few.
Psalms 107:29; Romans 10:9-11, Philippians 2; Luke 10:19; Mark 16:17-18; 1John 5:4; etc.
Those who favored the use of these tokens and mantles, said it was necessary to use them because Elijah did, James said so, and Christ used mud, etc.
The thread running through all the discussions are just lame excuses for countering demons, who resist the name of Jesus Christ with tokens, mantles and symbols! Preposterous!
That is a lie from the pit of hell!
At the mention of the name of Jesus Jesus Christ, every knee bows: of things in heaven, in earth and under the earth. (See Philippians 2:9-11)
Demons do not resist the name Jesus Christ, rather, they resist faithless Christians, and those actively living in sins, who have not applied the grace principle of 1John 1:9.
In order to counter the lack of sound Bible doctrines in their Soul, they appeal to their basests instincts, and revert to the use of some occult- paraphernalia. Thereby unwittingly putting themselves and those under their ministrations into bondage again to satan.
Scripture is clear that you become servant to who you yield yourself to obey ( See Romans 6:16-22)
Hence we are warned to stand in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free.(see Galatians 5:1)
We are to also resist the devil holding fast to our confessions of faith. Without faith it is impossible to please God.
Christ clearly states – in my name you shall cast out devils ( See Luke 16:17) not with water, anointing oil, or salt.
Bible talks about “having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled” (2Corinthians 10:6)
Demons resist those who have no idea – who they are, and their rights in Christ, and who are walking in active disobedience.
Back in the missionfield, while visiting a ‘deliverance ministry’, i was quietly observing, how 4 bouncers-like deliverance ministers were struggling to hold down a tiny wisp of a girl.
They were no match for her superhuman strength. Then the ‘ man of God’, the head of the ministry who invited me came. Then all hell broke loose.
The girl sprang out, jumped over chairs and went for the jugular.
She screamed out his name and brought a charge against him saying, ‘ don’t you dare lay your fithy hands on me. You have just committed adultery with your mistress, from whose house you came here, you have no rights over me.’
It was a full house with over 500 hundred persons waiting for deliverance. That day, he bowed his head in shame.
As the demonized girl was screaming out at him, holy anger welled up in me. As I moved to get to her, the demons started calling out to me by the name of my younger son.
Speaking through her, the demons said , mama Segun, leave us alone o, we have no business with you, we saw you sitting there and knew they brought you to cast us out….’
From where i was, i commanded the demons to be silent and get out of her. I countered all their accusations of the man of God with Isaiah 54;17, and Romans 8:2, 33.
Before i even got to her, she was flat out on the floor- out to the count.
It is not by anointing oil, salt or water. It is by the Spirit of God.
The Bible says in 1John 2:27, that the anointing you have received, remains in you! That anointing is the Holy Spirit. You can’t bottle Him up! He is not in the water.
You are the salt of the earth. We are to do what salt does-preserve, and add value to lives.
We are to look unto Jesus Christ, the Author and Finisher of our faith. We are not to look unto the mantles, symbols or emblems.
Faith is the victory! (See 1John 5:4) No matter the sizes, heights, authority, ranks or status of demons, they cannot resist the name Jesus Christ.
Remember the seven sons of Sceva? They attempted deliverance without being born again, and the demons overpowered them, with one asking, ‘Jesus i know. Paul, i know, who art thou? (See Acts 19:15)
So many doing deliverance need to recommit their lives to God. They are worshipping the God whose power they are clueless about. Hence they are having so many backlash from the forces of evil.
So many in active ministry, who do not Go back to basics Doctrines of Christ may be shocked on the last day. Here is what Christ says will happen to them.
“Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity” (Matthew 7:22-23)
When the son of man returns, shall He find faith upon the earth?
This calls for sober reflections and reorientationnt action. Shalom.
