Scripture Anchor

“And certain of the chief of the fathers gave unto the work…”
Ezra 2:68 KJV

Apostolic Insight:

God does not ask us to give what we do not have. 

The exiles had returned to Jerusalem, but the temple had been destroyed, and there was rebuilding to do.

Some people gave toward the work. But not everyone could contribute the same amount.

Although not everyone possessed the same resources. But people brought what they could.

Purpose is often accomplished through accumulated obedience.

When one person contributes skill, others gives time; carries responsibility, encourages, prays, provides something practical.

We can become discouraged when we compare what we have with what someone else appears able to contribute.

But God does not measure our faithfulness against another person’s capacity. He asks us to steward ours.

You do not have to supply the entire need. You simply need to discern what portion of the assignment belongs in your hands.

Bring that faithfully.

God knows how to join one person’s obedience to another’s.

Ponder This:

Am I withholding what I can contribute because I am focused on what I cannot?

Declaration:

 I faithfully steward my portion. I will not despise what I can contribute or compare it with another person’s capacity.

#Prayer ofAgreement

Father, show me the portion You have entrusted to me.

Deliver me from comparison and from the paralysis of believing my contribution is too small.

I willingly bring my time, ability, wisdom, prayer, resources, and service wherever You direct.

Use my portion within Your greater purpose.

In the matchless name of Jesus Christ, Amein.
