AWESOME GOD (36) Be Led by God:

As we draw nearer to the end of our 40 days of self humbling spiritual exercise,  it is important to clearly define who our Leader is.

Scripture says in Romans 8:14, that all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

Again in Proverbs we are instructed to lean on God, and to trust in Him with all our hearts, acknowledge Him in all our ways, and He will show us which path to take. (Read Proverbs 3: 5-6).

If in previous years,  you relied on family, friends, and secular professionals to lead you, how well did it work for you?

It is foolish to keep on doing the same thing and expect a different result.

You may not realize it, but anything that you exalt above the knowledge of God in your life has become your idol.

You are challenging the authority of God in your life,  by that behavior, if you are born again.

Can a person play with fire and not get burnt? Can a person quarrel woth his/her Maker and not face defeat?

If you really desire for the course of your life and circumstances to change, you need to renew your mind,  and take a stand today, to cast down all imaginations and all high things that are exalted above God in your life.

In Jeremiah 17:5, this is what God says: “Cursed [with great evil] is the strong man who trusts in and relies on frail man, making weak [human] flesh his arm, and whose mind and heart turn aside from the Lord.” (Jeremiah 17:5 AMPC)

If you sincerely want to know who or what you trust, answer this question to settle it for you.

Question:

Who, or what comes to your mind first, when you have a problem?

Your answer is the person or thing you trust.

Effects:

That is the reason for the hardships and destitution, rejections and consecutive failures, as well as barrenness, sterility, unproductivity, and related evils that you are experiencing.  (Read Jeremiah 17:6)

The Christian who enthrones ideologies, philosophies,  personalities and anything else that contradicts God’s Word,  is a magnet that attracts negatives.

Check your life and make the necessary corrections- repent, and cast them down (Read 2 Corinthians 10:5), and make God the King of your life.

Give God all due the respect. He loves you, saves you, and  never fails.

GOD loves you with an everlasting love and draws you with unfailing kindness and continued faithfulness.( Read Jeremiah 31:3)

When your life is in alignment with God’s Word and His ways, you ”shall be like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river; and it shall not see and fear when heat comes; but its leaf shall be green. It shall not be anxious and full of care in the year of drought, nor shall it cease yielding fruit.” (Jeremiah 17:8 AMPC)

In summary, in order to enjoy the benefits of salvation, experience, and display the AWESOMENESS OF GOD,  you must humble yourself and be led by our Holy God.

Read your Bible.  Know God for yourself.  Search the scriptures and apply it to your real-time.

#Prayer4Today:

Our Prayer today is from Psalm 5:8, which says;

“Lead me, O Lord, in Your righteousness because of my enemies; make Your way level (straight and right) before my face”(AMPC), in the matchless name of Jesus Christ.

For tomorrow,  proceed to Psalm 6, we are stopping this fasting series with Psalm 9.

AWESOME GOD (35) If HE did it Before,  He can do it Again:

We had  a  great meeting and time went by so quickly.  Please accept my apology for posting this content so late.

We serve an Eternal God who continues to do good, and who is absolutely trustworthy.

One of the ways to grow in your faith-walk with God is to review His past dealings with you.

If He showed up for you in the past when you had trouble, be rest assured that He will still show up for you 💯 in this time of trouble. Because that is who HE is.

Back in the era of the Judges in the Bible,  there was so much lawlessness in the land, and everyone did what seemed right to them (See Judges 17:6).

And surely as God is God, He showed up from when they rebelled, through when the enemies took advantage of their rebellion to torment, torture and terrorize them. And He was always quick to deliver them from their strong foes, when they repented and realigned with Him (God), and He will quickly rescue them again.

Although it was a circle of sin, discipline, repentance, restoration and  sin; God never failed His people.

Again and again, He showed up strong for them.

Run with that knowledge this year,  that God will never fail you when you call out to Him for help.

Just as our meditation verse for today says;

“Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness. THOU HAST ENLARGED ME WHEN I WAS IN DISTRESS; Have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer. (Psalm 4:1 KJV, emphasis mine)

The Amplified Classic rendered the highlighted sentence as, “You have freed me when I was hemmed in, and enlarged me when I was in distress…” Psalm 4:1b AMPC.

#MyPrayer4you:

I pray that God, our righteousness and  justice shows up in His awesome glory in your life.

I proclaim your liberty from all cycles of defeat, frustrating  circumstances ,  helplessness, addictiveness, marital troubles, unrelenting health issues and financial challenges.

As it is written that whatever we lose on earth is loosed in heaven, I hereby lose the goodness of God, and command all injustices to stop, and I affirm that sin no longer has dominion over you.

For Surely, goodness and mercy follows you, all the days of your life, and you will continue  to develop Christ-like characteristics, in Jesus’s mighty name.

We continue tomorrow with Psalm 5.

AWESOME GOD (32) Abound in Blessings.

We know that the blessings of God make us rich without sorrows.

Today, which marks the first day, first week, first month and first Wednesday of this new year.

And according to our opening Scripture from Psalm 1:1;

“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, Nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

But his delight is in the law of the LORD; And in his law doth he meditate day and night.” (Psalm 1:1-2 KJV).

How to  Abound in Blessings this new year:

1). Listen to Godly counsel.

2).  Refuse to listen to or be influenced by ungodly counsel.

3). Take a stand for God, and refuse to align with those whose  lives are governed by the works of the flesh (See Galatians 5:19-21 for a list)

4). Don’t support those who mock God and Godliness,  such as Christian  comedians who mock God and Christian virtues.

5) Delight yourself in reading the Bible and Meditating on the Words you read.

This year must be different from the past years.

You must say no to gallopy blessings- your life is not hooked to a heart monitoring machine that keeps going up and down.

You are well and alive and a RoyalPriest of God.

Your course in life must be upward and forward, and you must become stronger and stronger.

For it is written that;

“The righteous also shall hold on his way, And he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.” ( Job 17:9 KJV)

See Proverbs 4:18 also.

In order to stay on the right course for your life,  you must

work on your relationship with God.

What better way to do so, than to read your Bible daily. So that you can familiarize yourself with Who God is, His ways, His works and His mind.

All these are revealed in the pages of the Bible.

Subscribe to a Daily Bible Reading Plan.

I read different translations of the Bible every year. It has been a great developer of my Spiritual life.

You can do it! Be intentional and be disciplined.

Let us Pray :

Father God, thank you for bringing us safely into this new year.

In the remaining eight days of these spiritual exercises, I ask that you touch the lives of all those who joined us. Overwhelm them with your blessings without sorrows.

We ask to experience your awesome greatness in manifold ways.

We ask also, that you will use us to display your excellence and perfection to the world,  in the matchless name of Jesus Christ.

Proceed to Psalm 2, meditate on the Word and share your thoughts on your profile page or groups.

Be a blessing!

Shalom from Hephzibah Christly, Ph.D., #TheSpiritualWarrior , January 1st 2025.

AWESOME GOD (22) Diligence attract Fame,

Greetings.

Working diligently involves being a hard and careful worker.

It is unfortunate that some employees who are Christian forget about some of  the Christian work ethics that says,

a). “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might” (Ecclesiastes 9:10 KJV).

b) “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men” Colossians 3:23 KJV.

When you follow these work ethics,  your gifts will take you places, and those mean and wicked people can not dehumanize you.

 Soul Searchlight:

Perchance, you are working with an abuser or narcissist, and you think this is your lot in life:

That is the lie of the devil.

You do not have to put up with it.

However, as much as it is within your power,  you need to have a discussion with your abusive boss, and let him/her know that you are not fine with their words and actions.

This is based on the Biblical Principle for Conflict Resolution in Matthew 18:15-17.

It is for your benefit to express your feelings rather than to hold them in, and implode.

Going forward,  never allow another human being to dehumanize you because of a paycheck. You life does not consist in the abundance of what you own.

When you internalize the TRUTH that God is your Shepherd and that you shall not lack any good thing, you will have your employment in the right perspective:

You will no longer think that your job is the Source of your sustenance. And you will know in your heart that it is just a link in God’s supply channel to you.

Therefore, you will be confident in yourself, and you will no longer be the prey of workplace abusers or narcissists.

Always remember that before you started that employment, your bills were paid. And after it, your bills will be paid.

Changing jobs does not denote instability,  it points to self-awareness.

Although persecution is one of the benefits of Christianity, Christ told us His disciples that, “when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another…”(Matthew 10:23 KJV)

This principle also applies to job changes due to persecution. Apply wisdom.

Refuse to be victimized.

Read 1 John 4:4 & 5:4.

As you rebuild your spiritual self-esteem, your personality will change to reflect your faith in God.

As soon as you start a new employment, you should be determined to be diligent, knowing that your work ethics will result in fame.

Going forward, pray earnestly not to work with mean and wicked persons ever again, in Jesus’s name.

Part 2:

And if as a Christian employer, you do not appreciate diligence and you demean others with your abusive and narcissistic behaviors, you need to repent and renew your mind.

There is no medication for narcissistic behaviors other than psychotherapy or Christian counseling.

You have the choice of counseling and commitment  to church attendance.

Most Christian abusers and narcissists are unchurched.

I know this because,  if a person is churched and under the authority of a pastor, pride will give way to humility.

The love of God will be a constraining factor, and the desire to please God will become a strong desire.

Abusers and narcissists are self-centered. It’s all about I, Me, Myself! They don’t know or care how they hurt others.

It’s a psychological defect. It’s not anything you the employer did, nor can you fix it with your good behavior.

If the Christian employer allows the cares of this world to frustrate their relationship with God,  and thus become abusive and narcissistic,  they will become famous in a negative manner, and their victims will bring a charge against them to the Almighty God.

And they will suffer the consequences of their meanness and wickedness.

Whether you are an employee or employer, remember Whose child you are and who you are.

Refuse to be that  mean and wicked person, and refuse to allow mean and wicked persons to continue to victimize you. Move on!

Let Us Pray.

ABBA Father,  thank you for your tender mercies, and loving kindness.

We acknowledge that we allowed fear of the unknown to frustrate our faith in you.

We receive forgiveness of sins from laziness, abuse, narcissism, wickedness, meanness, anger, frustration and hopelessness.

Thank you God, for cleansing us from all unrighteousness.

As we go ahead into a new season, we ask for more grace so that we can be diligent in work,  Christian ministry, prayer, fasting, church attendance, Bible Study, giving, and doing good deeds.

Thank you Father for being a rewarder of diligence.

We’d ask O God that you work within us so that we shall become more humane with employees, and be an effective representative of your grace, favors and kindness, in the matchless name of Jesus Christ.

We declare that from today, we disable everything that places us under mean and wicked employers or bosses.

Shalom from Hephzibah Christly, Ph.D., #TheSpiritualWarrior, December 22nd, 2024.

AWESOME GOD (20) Be Merciful & Truthful:

Greetings people of God. Today marks the 20th day of our spiritual exercises.

For those just joining us, we are on 40 days of fasting-off food for some hours,  dedicated to Bible Reading from Proverbs 1-31, and Psalm 1-9, meditate on the Bible verses read, and to pray regularly by 9 am, 12 Noon, & 3pm.

Everyday, I share my thoughts on verses that I meditated on,

Today, While I read Proverbs 20, verse  28 gave me food for thought.

“Mercy and truth preserve the king: And his throne is upholden by mercy” (Proverbs 20:28 KJV).

In 1 Peter 2:9, the Believer is referred to as Royalty and a priest.  And Revelation 1:6 says that we have been made kings and priests unto God.

I let it metabolize that as a Christian Believer, I am a king and Priest. Therefore mercy and truth are the preservatives

that will keep me relevant in this world.

Soul Searchlight:

*Spend some time reviewing how you managed relationships this year.

Have you been sarcastic, and evasive, or been very merciless in condemning those who sin differently 🤔

Many of us are not straight up in our speech! Whereas Jesus teaches us His disciples let our ‘yes be yes and our no be no’

*Acknowledge to God your lies and mercilessness.

*Make a commitment going forward, to let mercy to everyone be your guiding principle and to always speak the truth with love too.

Let Us Pray:

Father God, thank you for accepting  us as a kingdom of kings  and priests.

We are grateful that your mercy continues to keep us.

We repent of all the ways we were judgmental, condemning and hardhearted.

Help us Father as we work out our salvation and commit to renew our minds, and become effective witnesses for your grace and mercy, in the matchless name of Jesus Christ.

Tomorrow,  go ahead to Proverbs 21.

Shalom from Hephzibah Christly, Ph.D.,#TheSpiritualWarrior.  December 20th, 2024.

AWESOME GOD (18) The Way up is Down: 1& 2.

Here comes one of my favorite verses of scriptures from Proverbs 18:

“Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, And before honour is humility” (Proverbs 18:12 KJV) .

And previously in Proverbs 16:18, it  states that “Pride goes before destruction and an haughty spirit before a fall”

The two key words here are ‘destruction’ and ‘haughty”.

Destruction refers to the act of ruination, tearing down, pulling down or overthrowing.

Haughty refers to the attitude of pride, arrogance and self importance.

*An Example of how destruction befalls haughty people is found in Obadiah 1:3-4, which tells us about the heart attitude of the Edomites and how God responded to them:

“The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground?

Though thou exalt thyself as the eagle, and though thou set thy nest among the stars, thence will I bring thee down, saith the LORD” Obadiah 1:3-4 KJV

 A haughty spirit invites Divine disciplines. Hence it is written that;

‘God resists/opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble’ (James 4:6).

But when you humble yourself, before God,  He will exalt you (James 4:10).

If you are haughty or prideful,  and you need a change in your frustrating circumstances, then you need to repent before God, renew your mind and start being humble.

Because, until you change your attitude and behaviors,  your issues won’t go away. They will gradually get worse until every element of pride in you is destroyed.

That is the reason why your going from one deliverance minister to another won’t resolve your crisis.

You must change and live as the righteousness of God in this world.

Your troubles are not about demons (satan is a defeated foe already), rather, it is about you becoming like Christ in worship, character, and service.

God refines His children as silver or gold passes through fire to remove impurities. (See Psalm 66:10, Isaiah 48:10, Zechariah 13:9)

Personal Testimony:

I have been there, and God allowed adversities to destroy the backbone of my pride.

Way back, as an up and coming Christian Missionary, I had some unrelenting issues that just won’t go away.

So, I prayed, fasted, and casted out real and imagined demons, proclaimed,  declared,  and decreed. But the issues did not even budge!

And I was a praying machine!

I was so demon focused that every midnight, I would wake up and do spiritual warfare for over 5 hours for over 365 days non-stop!

But the more I prayed,  the more things became worse.

Then one day, after an exhaustive night of prayers, I humbly asked God to please just be merciful to me and teach me the lessons in the afflictions.

Honestly, I had reached the lowest point of my life, exhausted all options, and I was tired and gradually going blind because of crying.

Twas then God asked me about Colossians 1:13 where it states;

“who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: ( Colossians 1:13 KJV)

He posited that if I have been delivered from the kingdom of darkness and translated into the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, why would I think that I was under satanic torment?

He clearly stated that my troubles had nothing to do with satan, but with Him my God!.

That was the turning point of my life, again!

I stopped my demonology, and focused on Christology.

Don’t wait until you are out of options before becoming humble.

Part 2:

What does God require of us?

“He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? (Micah 6:8 KJV)

Humility, which means lowliness of mind, is a basic requirement for all Christians.

Humility involves a heart attitude of gratitude, a recognition that you owe everything that you are or own, to God. (See Colossians 3:13, Matthew 5:3, Galatians 2:20, Micah 6:6)

Yesterday’s content discussed why you should not be an ingrate.

Add  pride and its evil relatives as what you should not be, going forward.

Resolve to be humble, in and out! Be gracious, be grateful. Look back and thank God for where you are at.

The only time you can look down on people is when you are extending a hand (financially, morally, prayerfully) to lift them up.

Remember Whose you are, and who you are.

“By humility and the fear of the LORD Are riches, and honour, and life” (Proverbs 22:4)

Prayer:

Father God, thank you for breaking the backbone of my pride and for teaching me humility.

Going forward, help me to stay humble and to learn lessons in life, in an easy way.

I ask O God, that you will be merciful to refocus those who are ignorantly focusing on demons, instead of growing in the knowledge of Christ.

Be God,  and be big in our lives,  in the matchless name of Jesus Christ.

Go ahead to Proverbs 19.

God Bless you all for your participation and active comments.

Shalom from Hephzibah Christly, Ph.D., #TheSpiritualWarrior, December 18, 2024.

AWESOME GOD (17) Decide to never be an Ingrate.

Today, I will discuss how Proverbs 17:13 has restrained me from being an ingrate.

This is what it says:

“Whoso rewardeth evil for good, Evil shall not depart from his house”(Proverbs 17:13 KJV)

An ingrate is someone who is not grateful.

Ingratitude attracts evil. Whereas gratitude dispels evil and creates a good atmosphere.

Hence we should learn to show gratitude to anyone who does us even the minutest good.

Rather unfortunately many people with entitlement mentality feel you owe them.

And instead of gratitude, they will complain, murmur, whine  and generally wear you out with their bad attitude.

Resolve that ingratitude will not have a place in your life, going forward.

And also, that you will not allow ingrates to drag you to their levels and then frustrate your destiny, as they did to Moses.

Back in Exodus, we read how God called Moses and sent him to deliver the Israelites from Egyptian bondage .

The Israelite went to Egypt during a famine, in order to be with their brother, Joseph the dreamer.

While Joseph was alive, they had a fair deal. Life was good.

Eventually, Joseph died and the new Pharaoh took advantage of them and conscripted them into slave-labor.

The yoke of slavery was horrible. For years, they cried and prayed to God for deliverance.

Eventually, God sent Moses to deliver them.

You would think they will happily cooperate with God and Moses.

But instead, they resisted both God and Moses, his chosen Deliverer.

Whenever they met an obstacle, they would display their ingratitude by referring to the good food they ate and the beautiful life they had.

They would completely forget the part that they were slaves and how much tears and prayers went into their deliverance.

You must determine and pray fervently not to be that person.

How can you not appreciate and have patience with your helpers?

Always remember that people who choose to be good to you do have their own challenges.

Determine to ease burdens and not become a stressor.

Your gratitude will soothe and bring comfort.

Whereas your grumpy attitude is frustrating and stressful and you will suffer the fallouts.

Although God indeed is patient, there were times when He wanted to just wipe out the Israelites because of their grumpy, complaining and generally bad attitude .

But Moses stepped in and saved the day.

Then one day, even their bad attitude got to Moses. Which led him to disrespect and disobey God. And consequently, he was denied the joy of entering the Promised Land.

And all those generations of ingrates, they all perished in the wilderness as well.

You can read this story from the book of Exodus in your Bible.

Do you now understand why it is important not to be an Ingrate?

Being an ingrate is similar to rewarding evil for good. And which grants accommodation to evil in your life.

Let us Pray:

Today,  I will lead you to pray with prayer-points.

*Thank God for His goodness in your life.

*Thank God for your birth parent(s), all they did to protect, provide, educate and nurture you. Although they were not perfect,  they did the best they knew with what they had.

*Thank God for your spouse, your children, friends, and family, for all they have been for you.

*Admit that there were times when you were grumpy, ungrateful, and felt entitled.

*Affirm that God is true to His Word in 1 John 1:9, and you have been forgiven all sins and cleansed from all unrighteousness.

*Declare that all evil that took residence against you with their evil spirits influencers, no longer functions against you because you have been forgiven, cleansed, redeemed and restored by the precious blood of Jesus Christ.

Proclaim that you are free from murmuring, grumbling, hatred, resentment, bitterness, vindictiveness and all manner of evils, both in heart attitude and behavior.

Declare that you are appreciative, full of gratitude and have chosen to always see the good in others and that surely,  goodness and mercy follows you all the days of your life,  in the matchless name of Jesus Christ.

Tomorrow,  make time to read Proverbs 18. Shalom, from Hephzibah Christly, Ph.D., #TheSpiritualWarrior, December 17th, 2024

AWESOME GOD (16) Living the Higher life.

I trust that you are making time to read your Bible daily.

The more you read your Bible, the more characteristics of God you will develop.

We have been called out of darkness into His marvelous light so that our lifestyles will display God’s excellence- His virtues and perfections (Read 1 Peter 2:9-10)

Hence, Jesus Christ stated that we are the light of the world and a city that is set on a hill (Matthew 5: 14-16).

Every verse of Proverbs chapter 16 blessed me so much.  It was a struggle to choose which verse to share with you today until I heard clearly in my spirit, verse 17.

“The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: He that keepeth his way preserveth his soul” Proverbs 16:17 KJV

Soul Searchlight:

What ways are you taking- the back-roads or highways.

If you do road trips as much as we do, you will understand that back roads are narrower and full of dangerous bends and more accident prone that highways.

If as a Christian, you have been taking back-roads in life, you have opened yourself up for demonization. Because you would not have been navigating life in an upright manner.

As light, we are that city that is set on a hill that is visible to everyone. We have a cloud of witnesses observing our every move.

We cannot afford to be ‘bent’ or unrighteous. Our character must be above board

As salt, we must add value to lives, and not be like the Pharisees who were stiff-necked religious bigots.

As religious as they were, they missed the message of salvation.

Search your heart very well and talk to God about your shortcomings .

We have been called to a higher life of love,  righteousness, graciousness, excellence, etc.

If you think that you are standing strong, be careful not to fall (1 Corinthians 10:12).

God says in Isaiah  66:2 ,”…to this man will I look…that is of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word”

Today’s word ministered to my Soul greatly.

Let us Pray

#SpiritualWarfarePrayers:

Make this prayer your own (customize it)

Father God, thank you for the various lessons in today’s Bible Reading.

I acknowledge that I took backroads at times, but for your grace, it would have been disastrous for me.

I receive forgiveness for the sin of not shining forth as light to display your excellence and perfection.

I admit that I have not represented you well.

Thank you for forgiveness of sins and cleansing from all unrighteousness.

I come against all the forces of evils that took advantage of my unrighteousness to influence adversities,  delays, and disfavor against me.

I command all those evil spirits with their relatives,  to get out of my realm and go at once to the feet of Jesus Christ.

I affirm that no one can bring anything to my charge, for the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death, and I am justified by my faith in Christ Jesus.

All delays, bans, or embargoes over my progress, prosperity,  healings, divine health, and whatever else was tampered with, are hereby released.

Thank you Father God, that my testimony shall be complete and those who awaited my downfall, will now join me in thanksgiving,  in the Mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Tomorrow we are unto Proverbs 17. Read, meditate and pray about it. God bless you.

Shalom from Hephzibah Christly, Ph.D., #TheSpiritualWarrior,  December 16, 2024

AWESOME GOD (15) Prayer, a weapon of Choice.

Today is such a glorious day. I got a lot done as I listened to my favorite preachers.

Their messages are so edifying,  and I couldn’t wonder whether my messages are building you up in the faith as well.

Anyways, as I read Proverbs 15:25 from the  King James Version which says, “The LORD will destroy the house of the proud: But he will establish the border of the widow”; I have been pondering the correlation between the “house of the proud” and “the border of the widow “.

If you have some insights, kindly share them with us.

However, it is so comforting to know that even though “The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD…the prayer of the upright is his delight” (Proverbs 15:8)

Soul Searchlight:

1).How is your prayer life?

2).Who is your go to person when you have a problem.

Your answer will show you in whom you have believed.

The person your mind goes to first when you have a problem, is the person your faith is in.

But if Prayer to God is your fist ‘go to’ when you are troubled or challenged, then you have faith in God.

There is room for improvement, so repent to God, and work on growing in faith.

Aspire to become a better version of yourself spiritually and it will reflect on your physical world.

Prayer is one way of growing in faith.

A prayerless Christian is powerless to handle challenges, because we generate spiritual power at the place of prayer.

Challenges are a part of life.

Every human being  has a fair share of them.

But, the differences are in the resources the Christian has to overcome challenges.

We are so blessed that God gave us a panoply of weapons with which to overcome challenges and still have life in all its fullness ( Read Ephesians 6:10-18).

Prayer is a very effective weapon because you can pray all manner of prayers and have the assurance that God delights in hearing your prayers (Ephesians 6:18; Proverbs 15:8).

Prayer to the Christian is what oxygen is for the living.

Sarah was despised because of her barrenness. But God heard her heart cries and all who laughed at her, laughed with her (Genesis 16:4,21:1-3,6).

Paul and Silas were imprisoned and placed in an inner dungeon, with feet clamped in stocks.

But they prayed and sang hymns to God.

Then God showed up strong and there was a supernatural jailbreak! (Read the story for yourself in Acts 16:16-34).

Prayer calls God’s power into play in your challenges.

If you have not been praying, you have not been using one of the most powerful weapons in your Spiritual arsenal.

You can start today by praying always (Luke 18:1)

Prayer is simply having a heart to heart discussion with God.

My prayer for you is that you will acknowledge God in all your ways, so that prayer will be like breathing to you,  in the matchless name of Jesus Christ.

Trust your day is going well.

You can send in your prayer requests.

Tomorrow, our spiritual exercises of fasting, regular prayers, Bible readings and meditation continue.

Up next is Proverbs chapter 16:21-endm

Shalom from Hephzibah Christly, Ph.D., #TheSpiritualWarrior,  December 15th 2024

AWESOME GOD (13) Choose Your Companions Wisely.

Although you did not have the privilege of choosing your birth family, you have the right to choose your friends and companions.

If your friends, affiliates or associates are evil, or involved in illegal activities, such could put you under much unjust scrutiny and unfair  assumptions.

For you would be unjustly considered guilty by association.

Hence the Bible states that   ‘Bad company corrupts good morals’ (1 Corinthians 15:33)

You may be thinking that if we only befriend the good people, who will take the Gospel to the unjust.

Jesus Christ our example:

Jesus is a friend of sinners (Read Matthew 9:10-17, Mark 2:15-22, Luke 5:29-39).

The base of that relationship is love, and the purpose is to bring a change in lifestyle and destiny (Romans 5:8, 2 Corinthians 5:21).

Although Jesus Christ  interacted with His friends he never partook of their evil deeds.

It is important to clearly define the purpose for your relationships, so that you will deter the corrupting influences of such a relationship.

Soul Searchlight:

How did you handle peer pressure this year?:

a). Were you victimized?

b) Read 1 John 4:4 & 5:4 to build up your spiritual self-esteem.

This is the time to redefine relationships.

1) Understand whose child  you are and who you are (1 Peter 2:9, Revelation 5:10)

2). You  are on a mission and not an aimless wanderer here on earth (Mark 16:15)

3). Although you were saved by grace, you shall be rewarded according to your works. A child that sleeps during the harvest is a child that causes shame( Proverbs

4). The Kings business requires haste. Learn precision and accuracy by acknowledging God in everything you do, and He will direct your ways.

Cut yourself some slack and be smart- smart people pray and don’t gamble.

5). Beware  if you are not winning your friends over to Christ, a companion of fools shall be destroyed (Proverbs 13:20)

A fool is Biblically defined as a person who denies the existence of God (Psalm 14:1-3)

Let Us Pray:

Heavenly Father, thank you for protecting us from the wrong kinds of friends that would have ruined our reputations.

Help us Father to be intentional in befriending people who you would save and deliver from destruction.

As this season is ending, O God, we commit all our friends to you and ask that you grant them supernatural favors and unlimited goodness.

We also ask that your goodness that leads to repentance show up for our friends who are not yet born again.

Thank you for loading us with benefits as this season closes,  in the matchless name of Jesus Christ.

Tomorrow will be Proverbs 14.

Thank you for your feedback and comments. You can email spiritualwarrior24@gmail.com  if you need counsel.
