When Anxiety Attacks

Bible Base: Philippians 4:6
“Be anxious for nothing…

What Are Anxiety Attacks?
When unexpected fear and panic overwhelm you, you’re experiencing anxiety attacks.

In today’s world-with rising living costs, job insecurity, family separations, and even fears surrounding immigration enforcement, anxiety is more common than ever.

While these are truly challenging times, remember:

anxiety is a part of life, but how you handle it can determine whether you thrive or suffer.

Understanding Your Anxiety

  • Identify the Triggers:
Take a moment to ask yourself,

“Why am I anxious?” Pinpointing the source of your anxiety can help you process and manage the unfavorable outcomes.

  • Reflect Like the Psalmist:
Consider the words of the Psalmist: “Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why the unease within me?”

After discovering the cause, he encouraged himself, “Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him.”

Facing Your Fears

  • Visualize Outcomes:
Imagine both the worst-case and best-case scenarios.

Remember: confronting your fears diminishes their power, whereas avoiding them only allows them to grow.

  • Scriptural Assurance:
The Bible reminds us in 1 John 4:18 that “perfect love drives out fear,” and 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us God has given us a spirit of power, love, and self-discipline.
  • Do Not Run:
Facing your issues head-on prevents the enemy from exploiting your fears (see John 10:10).

Choose the outcome you desire-likely the best-case scenario-and work toward it with courage.

Strengthening Your Faith
Confront your fears with unwavering faith in God. As Hebrews 11:6 says, “Without faith it is impossible to please Him.” Ask yourself:

  • Do I believe that God is for me?
  • Do I believe that God loves me?
  • Do I believe that God can change my circumstances?
  • Do I love God?
(Remember: perfect love casts out fear. If you love God, you can confidently trust that He’s got you.)

Hinging Your Faith on Who God Is

  • God’s Promise:
Romans 8:28 assures us that God works all things for the good of those who love Him.

Never let worst-case scenarios dictate your fear.

  • God’s Faithfulness:
2 Timothy 2:13 reminds us that whether our faith wavers or not, God remains faithful.
  • Victory Through Faith:
Let your faith in God be your spiritual therapy. It brings peace and empowers you to confront challenges as a victor, not a victim (1 John 5:4).
  • A Born-Again Reminder:
If you are born again, remember 1 John 4:4: “The One who is in you is greater than the one in the world.” And as Romans 8:31 asks, “If God is for you, who can be against you?”

Nourishing Your Mind
Your mind is a major battlefield in spiritual warfare. Feed it with the Word of God:

  • Daily Bible Reading:
Let Colossians 3:16 inspire you to allow the doctrines of Christ to dwell in you richly.
  • Pray Without Anxiety:
When your thoughts are grounded in Scripture, you won’t be overwhelmed by anxiety. Instead, you’ll present your requests to God through prayer and supplication.

Remember, fear comes in when you anchor your thoughts on negatives.  And fear has torment. So, do not fear. Confront your fears with faith in God.

Prayer Points for Deliverance

  1. Thankfulness:
Thank God for the gift of your life.
  2. Acknowledge & Declare:
Admit your anxiety, then declare that God’s peace now floods your soul.
  3. Use your Authority in Christ:
In the name of Jesus, command the spirits of torment, fears, anxieties, and their relatives, to leave your space and world of influences.
  4. Affirm that you have been given the spirit of power, love and self-control and are now bold and brave.
  5. Present Your Requests:
Bring your heartfelt prayers and thanksgiving before God.

Closing Blessing
I speak peace to your soul. I pray  that God who works in you, will perfect all that concerns you, Be well-in your mind, body, and spirit, in the matchless name of Jesus Christ.

Day8 of the 21 days of Prayer Series:

Subject: Restoration 8- A New Beginning.

Today, my mind was flooded with thoughts on those who suffered losses-spouses, children, parents, properties.

How are they processing it? What will the outcome be for them?

Some suffer losses and have mental health issues.

Whereas, some  recover and have abundance of blessings.

Which reminds me of Ruth the Moabitess-a childless young widow.

Ruth was no stranger to loss. Both her father in law and brother-in-law also died. She was a woman acquainted with grief.

But she had encountered God through her mother-in-law.

And when faced with a choice to return to her people, she chose to continue her relationship with  God, despite her losses.

Although her mother in law tried to dissuade her with the gory details of past failures and future hardships, Ruth held fast to her faith in God.

Though her sister-inlaw Orpah returned to her family Ruth couldn’t not abandon her mother in law who was grieving too.

And God rewarded her fully for her faith and how she lovingly cared for her mother-in-law.

Read the Story in the book of Ruth.

Are you feeling hopeless because of your losses?

Let the story of Ruth encourage you.

If you need a spouse, God is still in the business of joining people.

Whatever your losses or your needs are, God is still Provider, Protector,  Rewarder of diligence, and Restorer.

Be faithful. Be dedicated to doing the right things.

The Bible says in Jonah 2:8 that “they that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy “.

If Ruth had considered the hopelessness of her situation with her mother-in-law, and refrained from going with her, what would her story be?

Ruth did not observe lying vanities. She obtained mercy from God. She married well, had a son, and became  the great grandmother of King David and an ancestor of Jesus Christ .

God will restore you to greater glory. Don’t give up.

My prayer is that you should continue to be steadfast in your faith and let God be God in your life.

I stand against all hindrances and lying vanities that are trying to distract you from the path of progress and excellence.

Be restored and enjoy peace with prosperity  in the matchless name of Jesus Christ .

I am taking emails  and prayer requests .

Day6 of the 21 days Prayer Series.

Subject: Transformation 6: Deliver our children from trauma O God.

We respond differently to intensely stressful situations.

Children who were involved or who witnessed distressing events such as sexual abuses, accidents, natural disasters, etc. can be overwhelmed emotionally or physically.

Because their coping skills are not yet developed, what happened to them or what they witnessed, can have long term effects on them.

Which reminds me of the traumatic event that defined Absalom’s life.

Absalom, David’s third son, had a sister named Tamar.

Tamar was raped (sexually abused) by her half brother Amnon. He humiliated her further by throwing her out.

In her shame and pain, she cried out to Absalom  who was her full-brother.  He took in his sister and cared for her, for her reputation was ruined!

For two years, their Father David never confronted the issues, and never did.

And for those 2 years, Absalom seethed in anger against both dad and brother.

Eventually, he arranged the cold blooded murder of his brother, and exiled himself, in fear of repercussions from dad.

After an intervention by his uncle, both son and dad were partially reconciled after 3 years.

But the underlying issues were never confronted.

Even though Absalom was pardoned, he was not restored. David refused to have any relationship with him.

For an additional 2 years he lived in disgrace in the same city that the events happened.

Which further fed his deep seated anger and resentment against his dad.

In revenge, he began to stealthily undermine his father’s rule, to attract attention. But dad ignored him.

After 4 years, he cracked fully.  There was full-blown rebellion and he declared himself king.

A war ensued, and Absalom was killed. Read the bulk of the story in 2nd Samuel, chapters 13-19.

Although David regained his throne,  but, at what cost?

Many of us as parents may have traumatized our children further by our inactions and actions, thereby, deforming their personalities for life.

1). Can you relate to the issues raised in this narrative?

2). Are you currently isolated by your children?

3). Are you ready to

restitute, reconcile and restore your children or be restored by them and lead a transformed life?

4). Are you ready to pray?

We must learn from the mistakes of others and not perpetuate them.

The Bible says,  in 1 Corinthians 10:11, that these things happened to them as examples, and are written for our admonition.

Call to Action: #PrayerPoints4Today – Christian Spiritual Therapy

Day5 of the 21 days Prayer Series:

Subject:Restoration 5 – Deliverance from Frendnemies

Have you ever been deeply hurt  by the betrayal of an enemy disguised as a friend?

I can’t even fathom which is worse- the betrayal or the deception.

Ahitophel was such a frendnemy .  He was king David’s best friend and closest associate.

And the guy was such a gifted and anointed counselor. David trusted him so much.

However, he bore David a grudge.

Do you remember the story of the woman whom David from his porch saw having a bath?  (Refer to Day4 of the 21 Days of Prayer Series)

She was Bathsheba, Ahitophel’s granddaughter.

The scandal that resulted would have been so humiliating to Ahitophel.

Even though God disciplined King David and he married Bathsheba, Ahitophel never could forgive David.

This may be shocking, but that is how society treats ex-convicts.  They never accept that justice has been served- after jail time.

Ex-convicts are ostracized, can’t get decent jobs and are oftentimes rejected by family.

As much as we refuse to tolerate Frendnemies,  we should also learn to forgive those who wronged us, and give ex-convicts a new lease of life.

Kindly share your thoughts with me as comment or email

spiritualwarrior24@gmail.com

Do you know that Ahitophel hid his disdain for David so well that He never suspected him. Which hurt David deeply that he wrote in Psalm 41 David declared,

“…mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me….”

 And he also prayed-

“O LORD. I pray thee, turn the counsel of Ahitophel into foolishness “ (2 Samuel 25:31)

Read the story in 2 Samuel 16:23- 17:14

Let us Pray-

#PrayerPoints4Today:

*Ask that God in His infinite mercy  expose all Frendnemies in your life

*Forgive them all. So that your prayers will not be hindered, and the devil cannot take advantage of unforgiveness to complicate issues for you.

*And like David  pray,

“…O LORD, be merciful unto me, And raise me up…” Psalm 41:10

I Pray earnestly that God will supernaturally intervene to grant you favors, and overturn all  evil decisions in your favor, in the matchless name of Jesus Christ.

Day4 of the 21 days Prayer Series.

Subject: Restoration 4- Deliverance from satanic attacks.

Today was one of those days for me that should have started well, but the enemy tried to frustrate my mission to the world. Thank God that the blood of Jesus is speaking better things on my behalf.

Which reminds me of how King David’s day went and how the enemy got him, but God delivered him.

Apparently David was fatigued and decided to stay back from the ongoing war.

After a restful day, he took a stroll on his porch.  And saw a woman having a bath, which stirred up lustful desires.

From that day, his life went south. (Read 2 Samuel 11:1-27)

Why?

He fell for “The lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes”(1 John 2:16)

Because he was a man after God’s heart did not absolve him from divine justice.

God sent the Prophet Nathan to him, and David repented. But the child conceived in adultery died, as part of divine justice.

While the curses of death and violence were running on course, David’s son Absalom revolted against him.

His best friend Ahitophel, the wisest counselor in his court, sided with the rebellious son.

But David cried out to God for mercy, and the wise counsel of Ahitophel was countered with the foolishness of Hushai.

David was restored to the throne and Ahitophel committed suicide.

That sin was the leverage the forces of evils used to torment, oppress, and intimidate David.

Today, my prayer is that all “Frendnemies” in your life shall be exposed, and their works destroyed, in the name of Jesus Christ.

I identify with all the ways you yielded to the voice of the enemy, and stand with you as we acknowledge that we sinned.

I stand with you and receive forgiveness of sins and cleansing from all unrighteousness.

As God’s Oracle, I stand with you against the evil spirits of lusts. I declare that  their  holds over your  mind, desire, affection and volition are removed.

You are set free from yielding to mastubation, sex outside marriage, marital infidelity, incest, rape, pedophilia, and all sexual sins, for sin shall no longer dominate you.

I proclaim that the speaking Blood of Jesus Christ has proclaimed your salvation, deliverance  and restoration, therefore all voices of accusations that are speaking against you are silenced forevermore.

All the handwritings of ordinances working against you are destroyed.

Going forward, you shall no longer yield to satanic promptings, for you are filled and led by the Holy Spirit.

I declare that your mind, desire, affection and all other faculties of your Soul and Bodie are yielded to God.

I declare that there is restoration to Godly standards in all aspects and facets of your life, in the matchless name of Jesus Christ.

I would like to hear from you about how this prayer resonated with you.

Receive the Healing Anointing:

Today, I release to you, the anointing of God’s Spirit that brings healings.

Be healed in your body.

Be healed in your bones.

Be healed in your heart.

Be healed in your emotions.

I command that sickness to go away from you.

You are set free  from the infirmities of the mind, body and skeletal frame.

All the demonic hordes assigned to torment you are to go at once to the feet of Jesus Christ.

Receive the strength to go forward.

Arise from that sickbed, in the matchless name of Jesus Christ.

AWESOME GOD (39) Our God is Excellent .

Let me boast about God, for He is the very best at love, justice, forgiveness,  restoration, beauty, etc

Everything in creation points to how Excellent God (majestic and glorious) is.

In  Psalm 8 which is under meditation, we are told that God has set His glory above the heavens, established  strengths in order to silence foes and the avenger (Psalm 8:1-2, AMP).

Furthermore, when I consider everything in creation that God ordained and established, gratitude floods my heart that HE has made me “accepted in the Beloved”,  and His heir (Read Ephesians 1:6, Romans 8:17).

Therefore people of God, no matter what the devil is throwing at you, that is making you feel diminished, suicidal, or hopeless, know today that the devil is lying to you.

You are none of those things he satan keeps saying to you through his human agents.

You are the creation of an Excellent God.

And if you are born again, the Excellency of God resides in you- not mediocrity, failures, abuses,  pedophilia,  wretchedness,  poverty, etc.

The potential for greatness is in you.

It is your responsibility to aspire, and not expire!

This new year is a new beginning for you.

Cut off those satanic restraints holding you back and press forward till you DISPLAY EXCELLENCE in all aspects of life.

I stand with you in prayers and declare that mediocrity has ended. Poverty has ended. Rise and fall (gallopy life circumstances) have ended with all related evils.

I release to you now the fire of attraction, the grace of acceptance, the anointing for supernatural growth, excellence and productivity, to work with you,  in the matchless name of Jesus  Christ.

Shalom from Hephzibah Christly, Ph.D., #TheSpiritualWarrior, January 8th, 2025

AWESOME GOD (38) Staying Unaffected by Slander.

In Psalm 7, the Psalmist is experiencing being slandered by Cush the Benjamite, and is crying out for vindication from God.

I can relate with how painful it can be, when you are falsely accused or slandered.

And also how much you really want to release fire and brimstone on those slanderers.

This year, it is important to rein in your anger, and not allow slanderous people to get under your skin.

Firstly, you should work on building up your self esteem, so that people’s opinions of you would not hurt you.

Secondly, it is important that you must function as the righteousness of God: so that  if slandered, you can seek vindication from God, as David did.

Thirdly, understand that there is a time to confront evil, and a time to resist the devil.

Slanderers have deep seated resentment and bitterness against their objects.

Confronting them will only  enable their vindictive manipulations and verbiage.

So much so that, the more you attempt to vindicate yourself, the  more vitriol they will spew.

However,  If you need to take legal actions in order to redeem your reputation, go for it.

But generally, it is more effective to ask God to vindicate you, than to rely on getting justice from a corrupt  justice system.

Fourthly, you resis slanderers by taking the shield of faith and the Sword of the Spirit: which means that you must engage their demons at the place of spiritual warfare.

You do so by standing strong in faith and countering all their evil words, with the Word of God.

Action:

Declare that all the antics of slanderers, aimed at assassinating your character are nullified.

Also affirm who God’s Word says you are, and command all the demons of slander, anger, resentment,  false accusations and their relatives to get out of your affairs.

You can also declare that everyone you were slandered  to, will receive confirmations in their spirit, that they were lied to.

Additionally, declare 1 John 3:8 and proclaim what it says.

Finally, make a decision not to be that person who slanders others, ever again, and will only speak words that bless, encourage and edify, in the name of Jesus Christ.

You may need to review a previous post about Slander, from my blog spiritualwarrior2016.blog

We have just two more days before this series ends.

Tomorrow we read Psalm 8

#MyPrayer4you;

I declare that slanderers cannot function in your orbit, and that you will be a blessing in your world, in the matchless name of Jesus Christ.

Shalom from Hephzibah Christly, Ph.D., #TheSpiritualWarrior,  January 7th 2025

AWESOME GOD (37) Mercy over Material Blessings.

Although the Psalmist, while facing some unrelenting issues, cried out to God for healing, but he cried all the more for mercy.

[2] “Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed.

[4] Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: Oh save me for thy mercies’ sake.” (Psalm 6:2,4 KJV)

What is mercy?

Biblically, while Grace refers to God giving you what you do not deserve,  Mercy speaks of God withholding from you what you deserve, such as judgment, condemnation, etc,   and giving you undeserved kindness, compassion, and His righteousness.

#Testimony:

Which reminds me of my early years as a Missionary in a rural community in Africa.

I had no sponsorship, and had to minister God’s grace to a very poor community, from nothing.

I was always hungry and sick. The poverty and hardship was unbearable and frustrating.

I kept praying but it seemed God was too far away to even hear me.

Then, one day, it dawned on me to stop all those religious prayers and humbly ask God to just show me mercy.

 That changed everything for me.

You must learn how to pray correctly.

You may be asking God for  money or material things, with the thinking that these will  solve all your problems.

Although material blessings might solve some problems, temporarily, only God’s mercy endures forever.

Therefore,  if you are going through unrelenting health or marital issues, or whatever else is plaguing you, just cry out to God for His  Mercy to prevail over judgment.

One of the things that I did when I was experiencing so much resistance against my progress in life and ministry, was to do a topical study of mercy. In order to understand what mercy involves, so that I could pray from a place of faith and conviction.

Never give up on yourself nor accept negatives as God’s will for you.

Fight the good fight of faith.

Fight your problems. Refuse to accept bad theological arguments, that positions you for unnecessary troubles.

It is true that scripture says that ‘the poor you will have with you always’, but nowhere in that scripture was your name mentioned!

Reposition yourself for victory with what Christ accomplished for you!

Keep asking for  your miracle until God’s mercy manifests miraculously.

Read Psalm 7 for tomorrow.

I pray that God’s grace and mercy will speak and work for you, in every aspect of your life and ministry, in the matchless name of Jesus Christ.

Shalom from Hephzibah Christly, Ph.D., #TheSpiritualWarrior,  January 6th 2025.

AWESOME GOD (36) Be Led by God:

As we draw nearer to the end of our 40 days of self humbling spiritual exercise,  it is important to clearly define who our Leader is.

Scripture says in Romans 8:14, that all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

Again in Proverbs we are instructed to lean on God, and to trust in Him with all our hearts, acknowledge Him in all our ways, and He will show us which path to take. (Read Proverbs 3: 5-6).

If in previous years,  you relied on family, friends, and secular professionals to lead you, how well did it work for you?

It is foolish to keep on doing the same thing and expect a different result.

You may not realize it, but anything that you exalt above the knowledge of God in your life has become your idol.

You are challenging the authority of God in your life,  by that behavior, if you are born again.

Can a person play with fire and not get burnt? Can a person quarrel woth his/her Maker and not face defeat?

If you really desire for the course of your life and circumstances to change, you need to renew your mind,  and take a stand today, to cast down all imaginations and all high things that are exalted above God in your life.

In Jeremiah 17:5, this is what God says: “Cursed [with great evil] is the strong man who trusts in and relies on frail man, making weak [human] flesh his arm, and whose mind and heart turn aside from the Lord.” (Jeremiah 17:5 AMPC)

If you sincerely want to know who or what you trust, answer this question to settle it for you.

Question:

Who, or what comes to your mind first, when you have a problem?

Your answer is the person or thing you trust.

Effects:

That is the reason for the hardships and destitution, rejections and consecutive failures, as well as barrenness, sterility, unproductivity, and related evils that you are experiencing.  (Read Jeremiah 17:6)

The Christian who enthrones ideologies, philosophies,  personalities and anything else that contradicts God’s Word,  is a magnet that attracts negatives.

Check your life and make the necessary corrections- repent, and cast them down (Read 2 Corinthians 10:5), and make God the King of your life.

Give God all due the respect. He loves you, saves you, and  never fails.

GOD loves you with an everlasting love and draws you with unfailing kindness and continued faithfulness.( Read Jeremiah 31:3)

When your life is in alignment with God’s Word and His ways, you ”shall be like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river; and it shall not see and fear when heat comes; but its leaf shall be green. It shall not be anxious and full of care in the year of drought, nor shall it cease yielding fruit.” (Jeremiah 17:8 AMPC)

In summary, in order to enjoy the benefits of salvation, experience, and display the AWESOMENESS OF GOD,  you must humble yourself and be led by our Holy God.

Read your Bible.  Know God for yourself.  Search the scriptures and apply it to your real-time.

#Prayer4Today:

Our Prayer today is from Psalm 5:8, which says;

“Lead me, O Lord, in Your righteousness because of my enemies; make Your way level (straight and right) before my face”(AMPC), in the matchless name of Jesus Christ.

For tomorrow,  proceed to Psalm 6, we are stopping this fasting series with Psalm 9.
