USE WHAT GOD GAVE YOU

Today’s #Snippet

Some of God’s gifts look remarkably ordinary until they are surrendered to His purpose.

Scripture Anchor:

“And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship.” Exodus 31:1–3 KJV

Apostolic Insight;

When we talk about being filled with the Spirit of God, our minds often go immediately to preaching, prophecy, prayer, or other visibly spiritual activities.

Then we meet Bezaleel.

God filled him with His Spirit and Bezaleel made things. He worked with gold, silver, brass, stone, and timber. His craftsmanship became part of the construction of the tabernacle.

That widens our understanding of purpose.

The ability to organize, build, design, write, repair, cook, teach, calculate, create, nurture, administer, solve problems, or work skillfully with your hands can become sacred when yielded to God.

Not every calling stands behind a pulpit. 

Some are called to build the place where others will worship,  prepare what others will use, solve problems no one else noticed, create beauty, or make things work.

Bezaleel reminds us that God is interested not only in what we call “spiritual gifts,” but also in the abilities He has entrusted to us.

Purpose begins when we stop dismissing what God has placed in our hands.

Ponder This:

What ability have I treated as ordinary that God could use for His purpose?

Declaration:

Every gift, skill, ability, and experience God has entrusted to me is available for His use.

I will not despise what He has placed in my hands.

Father, thank You for every ability You have entrusted to me.

Open my eyes to gifts I have overlooked or undervalued.

I receive wisdom to develop them, humility to steward them, and discernment to use them according to Your purpose.

Let the work of my hands honor You.

MONTH-END PRAYER

Carry the Fruit Forward

Scripture Anchor:

“And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined… they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.” Zechariah 13:9 KJV

As August closes, we do not simply turn another page on the calendar. We pause, remember, and pray.

This month we have walked through the refining process together. We learned the following:

▪︎ Remain teachable

▪︎ Acccept pruning

▪︎ Choose grace

▪︎ Strengthen weary hands

▪︎ Refuse shortcuts.

▪︎ Speak with wisdom.

▪︎ Make room for others.

▪︎ Use what God has already placed in our hands.

▪︎ Serve quietly.

▪︎ Stand courageously.

▪︎ And most importantly, we learned that God’s refining work is not intended merely to change our circumstances.He is shaping us.

These things should not follow us into September.

  • Old reactions.
  • Unnecessary striving.
  • Comparison.
  • Fear of correction.
  • The need to prove ourselves.
  • Habits God has been pruning.

 We must carry these forward:

☆ Wisdom gained through experience.

☆ Discernment sharpened through testing.

☆ Humility developed through correction.

☆Compassion born through pain.

☆ Strength discovered in weakness.

☆ A deeper confidence in God.

Refinement has purpose. And September will take us there.

End of Month Declaration

 I will not leave behind the fruit God produced through my refining. I carry forward wisdom, discernment, humility, obedience, and spiritual strength.

I come forth refined, strengthened, and prepared for His purpose.

 PRAYER OF AGREEMENT

Father, we thank You for carrying us through another month, and for loving us enough not to leave us unchanged.

Thank You for  revealing wrong attitudes, and for the transformation of our hearts. 

When disappointment wounded us, you healed us without allowing bitterness to take root.

You corrected, pruned, and exposed weaknesses, 

The lessons learned will remain, healthier fruit will emerge, and strength is established. 

We release every weight that belonged to the refining process.

As we cross into September, order our steps according to Your purpose.

We receive discernment to recognize what You are doing, courage to obey when You call, and humility to remember that everything we accomplish is by Your grace.

Now, Father help us become more useful for Your purpose. And above everything else, let Christ be seen in us.

We enter September Available, prepared, and yielded.

Standing Against Fear and Instability

SCRIPTURE ANCHOR

“For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.” Psalm 12:5 KJV

#PrayerFocus

🙏 For nations experiencing instability: Pray for restraint where there is conflict, wise intervention in crises, protection of innocent lives, and peaceful resolution wherever possible.

🙏 For societies burdened by fear: Pray that panic, despair, and hopelessness will not govern communities. Ask God to restore courage, stability, and hope.

🙏 For truth amid confusion: Pray for the exposure of deliberate deception and manipulation, and for people to exercise wisdom and discernment concerning what they hear and share.

🙏 For vulnerable populations: Pray for protection, provision, safe shelter, and just treatment for children, the elderly, the poor, displaced families, and others disproportionately affected by crises.

🙏 For those entrusted with public responsibility: Pray for wisdom, integrity, restraint, compassion, and decisions that protect human life and promote the common good.

Don’t Borrow Armor

Today’s #Snippet

You do not need someone else’s armor to accomplish your God-given assignment.

Scripture Anchor:

“And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.” 1 Samuel 17:39 KJV

Apostolic Insight:

Even though Saul’s armor was impressive, it was  useless to David.

While in the fields, David had already learned how God worked through him against lions and bears, with tools he had actually proven. So he took the armor off.

There is tremendous freedom in knowing how God has shaped you.

We can learn from others without becoming copies of them. Someone else’s method may be effective for them and completely wrong for our assignment.

Refinement strips away imitation. It teaches us to appreciate the grace upon others while becoming responsible stewards of the grace God has given us.

David defeated Goliath when he stopped trying to look like Saul. There is power in becoming faithful to the person God has actually called you to be.

Ponder This:

Where might I be carrying expectations, methods, or identities that God never fitted to me?

Declaration:

 I will serve God authentically and faithfully. I will honor the gifts of others without abandoning the grace God has placed upon my own life.

Prayer of Agreement:

Father, thank You for freeing me from unhealthy comparison and imitation, without losing the uniqueness of Your workmanship in me.

With boldness and confidence, I use what You have proven in my life for Your glory.

Refuse the Shortcut

Today’s #Snippet

Scripture Anchor:

“The LORD forbid that I should do this thing unto my master, the LORD’S anointed, to stretch forth mine hand against him…”  1 Samuel 24:6 KJV

Apostolic Insight:

An opportunity is not automatically God’s permission.

David had an extraordinary opportunity, Saul who was  hunting him became vulnerable. David’s men even interpreted the moment as God’s doing. They felt  that was the solution, and  David should take matters into his own hands.

But he refused.

David understood that a convenient opportunity could still require an ungodly action. That distinction matters.

Remember:

● Not every open door should be entered.

● Not every chance to vindicate ourselves should be taken.

● Not every shortcut to something God promised carries God’s approval.

Develop some restraint.

How we arrive matters to God as much as where we arrive.

David eventually  became king, but he did not violate his conscience by seizing the throne.

What God has appointed does not require us to compromise ourselves to obtain it.

Ponder This:

Am I being tempted to force an outcome that I should entrust to God?

Declaration:

 I will not compromise God’s principles to obtain God’s promises. I choose integrity over expediency.

Prayer of Agreement:

Father, thank you for sharpening my discernment when opportunities appear.

I receive courage to refuse every shortcut that requires compromise.

I trust You to fulfill Your purpose without violating Your Word or damaging my integrity.

Guard the Gates

Scripture Anchor:

“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:23 KJV

One of the questions I am often asked is how believers can remain spiritually strong after experiencing victory.

The answer is not complicated.

Guard what enters your heart. 

Know that everything seeks entrance: conversations, entertainment, bitterness, fear, false teaching or discouragement.

Whatever gains access into your heart will eventually seek influence.

Hence the Bible instructs us to guard the heart with diligence.

Not because we are fearful, but because we are wise.

Remember:

Whatever continually enters your heart will eventually influence your life.

Warfare Prayer:

Father, thank You for giving us discernment to recognize what strengthens us and what weakens us.

We reject every influence that seeks to draw us away from Your truth.

We declare guarded hearts, discerning minds, and steadfast spirits.

We will protect what You have entrusted to us.

Finish What God Assigned

Today’s #Snippet

A faithful finish honors God as much as a faithful beginning.

Scripture Anchor:

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”  2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV)

Apostolic Insight:

Although many people begin with enthusiasm, fewer continue with perseverance, and fewer still finish well.

Paul’s confidence at the end of his life did not come from the size of his ministry or the number of churches he had planted.

His joy came from knowing he had remained faithful to the assignment God had entrusted to him.

Every believer has a race to run. Not someone else’s race, or someone else’s calling.

Our responsibility is not comparison but faithfulness. A refined life is marked by quiet perseverance, day after day, step after step, until the assignment is complete.

Ponder This:

Am I investing my energy in finishing God’s assignment or comparing my journey with someone else’s?

Declaration:

I will remain faithful to the calling God has entrusted to me. His grace strengthens me to finish well.

Prayer of Agreement:

Father, thank You for entrusting me with the work You have prepared for me.

I am strengthened  to persevere with joy, remain faithful through every season, and finish my course with integrity.

My life brings glory to Your name. In the matchless name of Jesus Christ, Amein.

The Small Things Matter

Scripture Anchor

“A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.”  

Galatians 5:9 KJV

Have you ever noticed how compromise rarely begins with a major decision?

We often imagine that spiritual decline begins with dramatic failure.

The Bible tells it differently. 

Spiritual decline usually begins with what we excuse, such as;

 Neglect prayer, careless words, tolerated attitudes, and  unchecked habits.

Such small compromises eventually shape great consequences.

Likewise, small acts of obedience produce lasting strength. You should never underestimate the influence of seemingly little decisions.

Remember: 

Compromise begins as a small permission.

Warfare Prayer

Father, thank You for the wisdom that warns us before we wander; and

  the conviction of the Holy Spirit that protects us from gradual decline.

We reject complacency, carelessness, and every compromise that weakens our walk.

We declare vigilance, discipline, and joyful obedience in both the great and the small things.

When Your Mind Needs to Catch Up

Sometimes the greatest prison has no walls.

Scripture Anchor

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…”  Romans 12:2 KJV

Have you ever noticed that people can leave a difficult season yet continue thinking as though nothing has changed?

Even though the chains are gone, the fear may remain. And although the bondage is broken, the old thinking may continue to torment.

That is why Scripture places such emphasis on renewing the mind. Freedom begins in Christ, and growth continues as our thinking changes.

Remember:

 A renewed mind protects a liberated life.

Warfare Prayer

Father, thank You for giving us the mind of Christ, and for replacing confusion with truth and fear with faith.

We counter every thought that contradicts Your Word, with these declaration:

● Our minds are renewed

● We are sound in judgment 

● We are steadfastly confident in Christ

● Our thinking agrees with Your truth.

Learning to Walk in Freedom

Have you ever noticed that being set free and living free are not always the same thing?

Scripture Anchor

“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free…” Galatians 5:1 KJV

Although many people celebrate the moment of freedom, only few prepare for the responsibility that follows.

From when God delivers us from bondage, He teaches us how to live differently.

Freedom is not permission to return to old habits. It is an invitation to walk in a new way of life.

Every day presents a choice.

Will I think like someone still bound? Or will I live like someone Christ has made free?

Remember: 

Freedom is not merely received, it must be maintained.

Warfare Prayer

Father, thank You for the liberty we have through Christ Jesus.

Thank You for breaking every chain and opening a new way before us.

We shall no longer function with the mindset that belongs to our former life.

From henceforth, our thoughts, choices, and conduct reflect the freedom You have given us.

For We will continually stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free.
