COMING THIS AUGUST…

Introducing #SWATSPrayerWatch

“I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me…”
Ezekiel 22:30 KJV

Dear SWATS Family,

Prayer has always been at the heart of this ministry.

Beginning this August, we are introducing a new weekly feature called #SWATSPrayerWatch a dedicated time for us to stand together before God in prayer.

This is more than another post to read.

It is an invitation to become an active participant in a community of believers who believe that God hears and answers prayer.

Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, we will gather around God’s Word, pray over specific needs, and stand in agreement with one another.

What to Expect

Tuesdays:

Intercession for our nations, communities, and the issues affecting our world.

Thursdays:

Praying for the Church, families, leaders, and spiritual growth.

Saturdays:

Our interactive Prayer Watch, where you are invited to share your prayer requests, encourage one another, and stand together in faith.

How You Can Participate

🙏 Read the Scripture and prayer focus.

🙏 Pray the corporate prayer aloud.

🙏 Share your prayer request in the comments if you would like others to stand with you.

🙏 Take a moment to pray for someone else’s request.

🙏 Return during the week to encourage those who have shared their burdens.

Together, let us fulfill the command of Scripture:

“Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”
Galatians 6:2 KJV

Prayer is not our last response. It is our first line of spiritual engagement.

Whether your need is great or small, whether you are rejoicing or grieving, whether you are standing strong or struggling to keep going, you are welcome here.

Let us become a community that not only studies God’s Word but also faithfully stands in the gap for one another.

I look forward to praying with you throughout August.

Grace and peace.

Prepared For Greater Usefulness

Scripture Anchor

“If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use…”  2 Timothy 2:21 KJV

As we close this month, it is worth asking a simple question: What has God been trying to strengthen in me?

For some, it was patience, for others, it was humility, obedience and trust.

One of the mistakes we make is measuring growth only by visible accomplishments, whereas, some of God’s greatest work happens where no one else can see it – in you

Refinement is not about becoming impressive, but about becoming useful.

Preparation precedes assignments and blessings. God strengthens character before He expands responsibility.

Remember: God refines what He intends to use.

Warfare Prayer

Father, thank You for every adjustment, correction, and lesson You have used to strengthen us this month.

We are grateful for every area where You have increased our wisdom, deepened our faith, and matured our character.

We reject impatience with Your process and resistance to Your hand.

We declare that what You have refined will become useful, fruitful, and effective for Your Kingdom.

Never Outgrow Correction

The strongest people are not always the most gifted.

Often, they are the most teachable.

Scripture Anchor

“He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul…” Proverbs 15:32 KJV

Have you ever noticed that growth can sometimes create a false sense of arrival?

We learn a few things, experience a few victories, and gain a little confidence.

Then quietly we become less teachable. That is dangerous.

The moment we stop learning, we begin limiting our growth. When we resist correction, we slow our progress.

God refines those who remain teachable. Not just at the beginning of the journey, but throughout the journey.

Remember: The willingness to learn is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Warfare Prayer

Father, thank You for every person, circumstance, and lesson You have used to teach us.

We are grateful for the wisdom that comes through correction and instruction.

We reject pride, stubbornness, and the illusion that we have arrived.

We manifest teachable spirits, humble hearts, and continual growth.

Prayer for Peace Among Nations

Scripture Anchor

“He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth.” Psalm 46:9 KJV

Prayer:

Abba Father,

We bring before You the nations of the world:

● Bring restraint where conflicts rage, sow wisdom and understanding where hatred is being cultivated.

● Protect those innocent lives caught in violence, instability, and unrest.

● Guide decision-makers toward justice, restraint, and peace.

● Frustrate agendas that profit from suffering and human misery.

● Let righteousness influence public life and mercy prevail over power.

● We ask for Your intervention in places beyond our reach and circumstances beyond our control.

In the matchless name of Jesus Christ, Amein.

Ponder This:

God’s authority extends beyond every border, government, and conflict.

When Knowledge Is Not Enough

Have you ever noticed that not every decision requires more information? Sometimes it requires more wisdom.

Scripture Anchor

“For wisdom is profitable to direct.”  Ecclesiastes 10:10 KJV

We live in a time when information is abundant: Books, videos and opinions are available. Yet many people remain confused.

Why?

Because information and wisdom are not the same thing. Where knowledge tells us what is possible, wisdom helps us discern what is appropriate.

Knowledge gathers facts, but wisdom applies truth.

One of the signs of spiritual maturity is learning that not every decision can be solved by acquiring more information. Sometimes we simply need God’s wisdom.

Remember: Wisdom is profitable to direct.

Warfare Prayer

Father, thank You for every lesson, insight, and truth You have entrusted to us.

We are grateful for the wisdom that protects us from unnecessary mistakes.

We reject confusion, impulsive decisions, and dependence upon human understanding alone.

We declare wisdom in our choices, discernment in our responses, and clarity in our direction.

Prayer to Launch the Week:

Some victories come when we stop striving and start trusting.

Scripture Anchor

“Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”  Psalm 37:5 KJV

Prayer

Father, thank You for carrying us through another week, for lessons learned, burdens lifted, and reminders that You are firmly in control.

We are grateful for both opened and closed doors, and the paths You redirected.

We acknowledge that Your wisdom exceeds our understanding and Your timing is always perfect.

Today, we commit our plans, concerns, families, ministries, and our future into Your hands.

We release burdens we were never meant to carry, outcomes we have tried to control, and fears which whisper that we must figure everything out ourselves.

Father, we choose trust over anxiety, faith over frustration and surrender over striving.

We declare that our steps are ordered by You, Your mercy goes before us and Your favor surrounds us.

We believe that You will perform what You promised, complete  what You  began, and will sustain everything You assigned.

We rest in Your sovereignty and rejoice in Your faithfulness.

In the matchless name of Jesus Christ, Amein.

Remember: It is not he who wills or he who runs, but God who shows mercy

Prayer for the Weary and Overburdened

Scripture Anchor

“He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.”

 Isaiah 40:29 KJV

Prayer

Abba Father,

Today we lift before You those who are weary in body, burdened in mind, and exhausted in spirit.

We remember caregivers tending to loved ones, families facing ongoing challenges, individuals carrying heavy responsibilities, and those who have endured prolonged seasons of uncertainty, loss, or hardship.

You are the God who strengthens the weak and sustains those who depend upon You.

Grant renewed strength to those who feel overwhelmed, restore hope to those who feel discouraged, and for those who have grown weary in well-doing, impart them with fresh courage to continue.

Father, let Your peace quiet anxious thoughts and steady troubled hearts.

Bring refreshment where there is fatigue, replace frustration with patience and release renewed confidence in Your faithfulness, where there is discouragement.

We ask that You teach us to lean upon Your grace rather than on our own strength.

Help us to rest in Your promises, trust in Your timing, and remain steadfast in our walk with You.

We surrender into Your capable hands, all the burdens that have become too heavy, and receive strength to stand, endure, and overcome.

In the matchless name of Jesus Christ, Amein.

Ponder This:

God does not merely give strength for the journey; He becomes our strength within it.

Shalom,

The Burden You Were Never Meant To Carry

Some battles disappear when we stop trying to be God.

Scripture Anchor

“Be still, and know that I am God…”  Psalm 46:10 KJV

Have you ever noticed how exhausting life becomes when we try to control outcomes, person, situations, or timeline?

Eventually, the weight becomes unbearable because we were never designed to carry it.

Some burdens belong to God. While our assignment is obedience, His is sovereignty.

Remember: Peace returns when we stop playing God.

Warfare Prayer

Father, thank You for carrying what we cannot and governing what is beyond our control.

No more anxiety, striving, and the pressure to manage everything ourselves.

We trust in Your leadership and rest in Your sovereignty.

In the matchless name of Jesus Christ, Amein.

Shalom,
Hephzibah Christly

Prayer for the Church (The Body of Christ)

Scripture Anchor

“That he might present it to himself a glorious church.”  Ephesians 5:27 KJV

Prayer:

Abba Father,

We pray for Your Church around the world.

● Strengthen believers who serve faithfully despite opposition, hardship, and discouragement.

● Purify Your Church from compromise, division, pride, and distraction.

● Raise up leaders of integrity, wisdom, humility, and courage.

● Restore a hunger for prayer, holiness, discipleship, and sound doctrine.

That Your Church remains a beacon of truth and hope in troubled times.

Help believers walk in unity while standing firmly upon Your Word.

In the matchless name of Jesus Christ, Amein.

Ponder This:

The Church is strongest when it reflects Christ more than culture.

Shalom,
