“To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1
September has that odd in-between feeling. Summer lingers, but school bells ring. Vacations end, routines resume, and somewhere in the middle of it all—we rush. Again.
But here’s the wild thing: not every season is meant to be hot and fast.
Some months are not for harvesting. They are for pruning, for waiting, for standing still while God does something underground.
This month, do not mistake quiet for absence. Just because you are not “producing” does not mean you are not growing.
God’s timeline rarely looks like your planner.
The most important roots do not form in the spotlight.
So breathe.
Let this September be a time where you do not panic if life is not loud.
Listen for the holy in the slow.
You are not late.
You are not behind.
You are exactly where He has you—for a reason and for a season.
Reflect:
What part of your life feels slow, stuck, or hidden right now?
Could God be doing something in that pause?
How can you honor the quiet season instead of rushing past it?
“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?” 2 Corinthians 6:14, KJV
Tactic:
Discern the connections in your life.
Assignment:
Evaluate: who has access to your spirit? Adjust if needed.
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. “ Philippians 4:8
