DREAM-STATE SPIRITUAL COMBAT

Several times when you are engaged in intense spiritual combat, the forces of evil would try to take advantage of your body’s need of sleep to launch an attack against you in your sleep-state. These evil spirits forget that you have an EVER-PRESENT HELPER- The HOLY SPIRIT.

When the human Body sleeps, the human Soul and Spirit remains active.

Even in the sleep-state, your spirit and soul can engage in spiritual combat. However, it is the state of your spirit and soul that would determine whether you will wake up the victim or the victor in that spiritual combat.

In order to help you understand this further, I would need to give some foundational explanations:

* The Human Being has three levels of consciousness which are:

a. GOD-consciousness;

b. Self-consciousness;

c. World-consciousness.

This is so because “MAN” is spirit, has a soul and lives in a body.

The ‘spirit realm’ comprises of the positive supernatural and the negative supernatural worlds.

The Human Being as spirit is thus able to interact with the spirit world – whether it is the negative or positive supernatural.

The positive supernatural is the Kingdom of Light where JESUS CHRIST is SOVEREIGN and where He rules with love.

The negative supernatural is the kingdom of darkness where Satan the devil rules with the fear of death.

According to Scripture, “Perfect love cast out fear” (See 1 John 4:18).

When your love of GOD is perfected, you have no need to fear the forces of evil.

GOD in HIS infinite wisdom forbids HIS “called-out ones” from interacting with the forces of evil and their human agents.

It says in the Scriptures that:

“There shall not be found among you anyone…, who uses divination, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who casts a spell, or a medium, or a spiritists, or one who calls up the dead” (See Deuteronomy 18:10:11).

Because,

“…You will be defiled by them. I am the LORD your God” (See Leviticus 19:21b).

GOD states also in HIS Word what will happen to the one who violates HIS restrictions in respect of interacting with the negative supernatural thus:

“I will set my face against anyone who turns to mediums and spiritists to prostitute themselves by following them, and I will cut them off from their people” (See Leviticus 20:6).

Dear friends, there is ongoing battle between the forces of light and the forces of darkness for the souls of Humans.

The battleground for that ongoing spiritual combat is the mind.

The mind is the seat of the soul and can become the fountain head of all evil if it is not cleansed with the purifying and transforming Word of GOD.

At creation, GOD formed the Human Being from the dust of the earth. The Human body was animated when GOD gave the breath of life to it. And “MAN became a living soul” (See Genesis 2:7).

The Human body came from the ‘dust’ of the earth, while the “life/spirit” came from GOD. The soul came into existence when GOD’s life impacted with the ‘body’.

The soul is our self-awareness or self-consciousness

The ‘spirit’ in “MAN’ died when Adam our first parent sinned by choice.

The human spirit is recreated when a person accepts JESUS CHRIST as SAVIOR.

Then the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD takes up residence in that person. When the Holy Spirit is ‘received’ the person is guided into all truths as well.

The “born again” child of GOD has 2 spirits which are; the spirit in man and the Holy Spirit of GOD. The spirit of man is the lamp of the LORD, Searching all the innermost parts of his being. (See Proverbs 20:27).

When a person gets “born again”, it is the spirit that gets recreated, not the soul or body.

The food of the recreated human spirit is the WORD of GOD; the strength of the soul is the WORD of GOD.

When the recreated Human Being feed well on the Word of GOD, it has control over the soul. Only then can the soul be enabled to control the negative tendencies of the Human body, which is controlled by the 5 senses.

The soul is the bridge between the spirit and the body.

When the spirit rules over the soul, the Christian will live victoriously over the forces of evil.

But when the ‘spirit’ is weak through the neglect of Bible Doctrine; the soul and body will fight for supremacy. The somewhat similar internal conflict is described by the Apostle Paul in his writings to the Romans:

“I have discovered this principle of life–that when I want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong. I love God’s law with all my heart. But there is another power within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. Oh, what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death?” (See Rom. 7:21-24,nlt).

This internal conflict is prominent when the Body, which is our “world consciousness” transfers information received through the functions of the senses to our spirit through the soul.

If the Word of GOD is not dwelling richly in the mind which is the seat of the soul, the information received would not be rightly processed and the mindset would tend towards evil and would result in a life characterized by defeat, disappointment and diseases.

That is why we are to “guard our heart/mind with all diligence for it is the wellspring of life”(See Proverbs 4:23).

The mind that is governed by the flesh is death, whereas, the mind that is governed by the Spirit is life and peace.” (See Romans 8:6).

For the mind to be “governed by the spirit”, you have to be “filled with” and be “led by” the HOLY SPIRIT (See Ephesians 5:18; Romans 8:14).

Which would require that you feed regularly on GOD’s Word and observe the Daily Christian Discipline.

The person who receives information from the WORD of GOD and who lives according to the Book, that person will have life in all its fullness as well as have the peace that only a relationship with GOD can give.

The human Body needs food, water and sleep to function well. However, in order to function at optimum best as well as live victoriously, the Soul and Spirit of the Born Again child of GOD needs the following, which is referred to as the Daily Christian Discipline:-

A. The Word of GOD;

B. prayer;

C. fasting;

D. meditation on GOD’s Word;

E. faith in GOD;

F. Personal Evangelism/ sharing of Testimony;

G. Fellowship with other Christians.

The Daily Christian Discipline is to the Spirit and Soul, what food, sleep and water is to the Human Body.

The Christian who lives a disciplined life is no easy target for the forces of darkness even in the dream-state.

Since the spiritual controls the physical and you are in tune with the Word of GOD which is “spirit and life, then you will emerge victorious in any spiritual combat.

In my opening statement, I did mention that the forces of darkness do try to take advantage of the Believer’s need of sleep. And people tend to sleep more at night in the dark!

The spiritually alert Christian is a force to be reckoned with even in the sleep-state, because of GOD’s Word (Biblical Doctrines) that are richly dwelling in the soul. The presence and power of the indwelling Spirit of GOD fortifies him/her, so that he/she can effortlessly confront and overcome the forces of darkness that launches any form of attacks.

When you are infirm in your spirit or soul and are at a very low time in your life; especially when you are emotionally drained through discouragement and depression. As well as when you are still processing the loss of a loved-one, or for any other situation that puts you at your wits end, and which disables you from coordinating properly: that is when the devil usually attacks.

When the devil see you in that weakened state, he thinks you are easy prey, he assumes that you cannot stand against him adequately in spiritual combat; he forgets you have GOD’s Word and the HOLY SPIRIT resident in you.

The Greater-One who lives in you, greater than Satan and his minions.

The HOLY SPIRIT; the EVER-PRESENT HELPER of the Christian is there to make intercession for you. HE takes over and prays through you with the Words of GOD in your Soul.

The Word of GOD is the Sword of the Spirit. That is why it is very important to read, ingest and metabolize GOD’s Word.

As the Holy Spirit prays in and through the regenerated Believer, the Soul is strengthened even in that semi-conscious state to work in harmony with the human spirit to launch an offensive against the marauding forces of darkness.

That is the reason that some people will be kicking, gesticulating and making declarations, binding and casting out demons even in their semi-conscious state. Such people wake up victorious and live victoriously.

But rather unfortunately, it is not so for the Carnal Christian.

The Carnal Christian is the Born Again child of GOD who lives by the WORLD instead of by the WORD. He/she has no Doctrine resident in the soul- that means that the ‘word of GOD is not dwelling richly in him or her.

When under attack, they can barely say “JESUS”. They wake up with tales of being pressed in their sleep; some wake up panting from the exertion of running away from demons that were pursuing them. Their Body may be very strong, well-nourished and active, but their spirit and soul is very malnourished and very weak from the lack of proper spiritual and soulical foods.

Because the spiritual controls the physical, whatever happens to them in the spirit-realm would manifest within 2 weeks.

Thus, they wake up from the dream-state spiritual combat as victims.

Remember I did say that the Daily Christian Discipline is to the spirit and soul what food, water and sleep is to the Body.

The devil and his forces of evil does launch attacks at Christians in their semi-conscious state, therefore, feed your Spirit, Soul and Body well and you will not be a casualty in that combat.

It is very encouraging to know that the HOLY SPIRIT is the POWER at work in the Christian Believer-24/7. Whether you are asleep or awake, the word of GOD is DYNAMO in HIS workings.

Whether during the day or at night, you can run to the battle. The GREATER-ONE lives in you .Glory to GOD!

The best thing to be in this day and age is a CHILD OF GOD- spirit filled, spirit-led, blood washed, water-baptized, tongue-blasting, Bible-literate and Word-perfect. Shalom!-

AFFIRM YOUR REALITY IN CHRIST

“But now, thus says the LORD, your Creator…”Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine!” (Isaiah 43:1- NASB.) Words hurt. Words heal. Words can bring either condemnation or commendation. Words are powerful. Words can create and words can destroy.

You can counter and nullify the efficacy of negative words with the Word of GOD. Creation came into existence by the Spoken Word of GOD, therefore everything in existence is subject to the WORD of GOD that brought it into existence.

I get several emails daily from people who are being tortured by those who throw their past at them. You have to see yourself from a Divine perspective. You are GOD’s own special creation. Affirm GOD’s Words and stop your mind from repeating those negative words.

Why do you allow the hate-filled words of your loved ones hurt you so much? Don’t you realize that the devil who is the accuser of the brethren is only speaking through them?

You can get past that place if you remember that only GOD has the final say about your life. The opinion of haters doesn’t matter.

Deal with such hateful words in spiritual warfare. Counter their words with the Word of GOD.

Command the voices of accusation to stop immediately. Then go ahead and continue to affirm what GOD’s Word say about you. Keep talking about your new reality in CHRIST until it becomes ingrained in your beliefs system and transform the world around you. So that it would no longer cut your heart when the ignorant friends or relatives darken counsel with words without wisdom.

AFFIRMING MY NEW REALITY IN CHRIST

I affirm that the Spirit of God is guiding me in the path of life and leading me in the way of supernatural success and permanent prosperity. My way is prosperous and consistent for I experience good success in accordance with GOD’s Word. I meditate on the Word of GOD and speak it forth with boldness daily. Hallelujah!

As CHRIST is, so am I in this world. I function from the standpoint of advantage, victory, dominion, and power, because I’m born of God and conscious of HIS life and nature in me. I’m guided and propelled by His divine wisdom to do His will, and fulfil my destiny in Christ…Glory to God!

I affirm that I’m born again! Christ is my life, and He’s the environment in which I dwell; therefore, I’m forever safe, secure and protected to live triumphantly always!

My life is the testimony of the grace and wisdom of God, who causes all things to work together for my good! I have victory in His Name! Halleluiah!

I’m a partaker of the divine nature and the Holy Spirit lives and works in me, with His miracle-working abilities!

I’m effective, efficient, and excellent in all that I do through the power of the Holy Spirit. I can do all things by His ability that works within me! Hallelujah!

I have the capacity to show care, and be diligent in all my duties and responsibilities. I’m full of wisdom, and continually receive thoughts and ideas from the Spirit that put me over, and give me the advantage always. I’m made for life and set up for honor, greatness and prosperity. Hallelujah!

HE has girded my feet with strength and I walk over high place. I am established as praise upon the earth. The place of my shame is become the place of praise and exaltation. I affirm that regrets have converted to progressions. I move swiftly on the wings of the angel to accomplish Divine counsels. AFFIRMATIONS ARE NECESSARY

“… I want you to affirm strongly concerning these things, so that those believing God may take care to be devoted to good works. These things are excellent and profitable to men.” (Titus 3:8; Berean Literal Bible)

At a very tender age of 6, I was taught the Apostle’s Creed as part of my religious training. The Words of the creed states:“I believe in GOD, the FATHER Almighty: The Creator of heaven and earth: And in JESUS CHRIST HIS only SON our LORD: Born of the virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius Pilate; Was Crucified, died and buried: HE descended into hell. The third day, HE rose again from dead and ascended into heaven. Seated at the right hand of GOD the FATHER Almighty, from whence HE shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Catholic Church, the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting, Amen”

It is on that foundation that my belief system was formulated. Those words impacted my life greatly, for it introduced me to and kept me focused on GOD the Creator. And it has stuck in my memory all these years. So, it is quite easy for me to make solemn declarations by hammering away at the truths of what I believe. The foundation was well laid. It is never too late to start a good thing.

Words are powerful. Spoken words create what it speaks of. Words have the power to change lives.

GOD’s Word is dynamo.

The more GOD’s Words are imprinted in our mind, and released with our mouths, the more the supernatural is released to workout in our lives.

Our opening scripture says “I want you to affirm strongly…”

To affirm (v) is to state something emphatically or publicly.

Affirmation (n.) serves the same purpose as an oath for a person who objects to oath taking on religious or ethical reasons. Some of its Synonyms are as follows:

“ ‘Declaration’, ‘proclamation’, ‘avow’, ‘vow’, ‘pledge’, ‘give one’s word’, ‘swear’, and ‘give an undertaking’ ”.

Biblically, the Christian should live a life of continual affirmation of GOD’s Word. Therefore, “… let your statement be, ‘Yes, yes ‘ or ‘No, no’; anything beyond these is of evil”. (Matthew 5:37; NASB)

JESUS CHRIST gave insight into what we should affirm and how to say it. He disclosed this in John 12:49-50 when HE said

“I have not spoken on My own, but the Father who sent Me has commanded Me what to say and how to say it. And I know that His command leads to eternal life. So I speak exactly what the Father has told me to say.”

Therefore, just as JESUS CHRIST did, we are to affirm the FATHER’s Words. The Word of GOD is spirit and life. They are not religious clichés or religious hype meant to give you an emotional high. Rather, they are life transforming Words, full of grace and power and capable of recreating lives and the world.

Instead of bellyaching over your adverse circumstances, get a hold of GOD’s Word that pertains to your circumstances and keep talking it.

The more you constantly affirm GOD’s Word, the more the Word gains ascendancy in your life.

It is necessary for the Believer in CHRIST to constantly affirm:

“I am a new creation in CHRIST. I am infused with the eternal life of GOD and therefore not vulnerable to the crippling influences of this world. I affirm that the life and power of GOD is working in my spirit, soul and body. That same Spirit that raised CHRIST from the dead vitalizes my body and invigorates me always.” Hallelujah!

Affirmation sets clearly defined boundaries for the forces of evil, while expanding your horizon.

As a Christian, you should never agree with the symptoms of sickness or diseases. Because when you agree, you make it an established fact. In Amos 3:3, the question is asked:

“Can two walk together, except they are agreed?”

It follows therefore that sickness or any contrary situation can’t walk with you without your agreement.

You should never give consent to sickness: never say ‘I am sick’ or ‘I have cancer’. They are not yours. Sickness is among the works of the devil that CHRIST came and destroyed. So don’t affirm it. Say ‘no, no’ to that doctors report. Reject it from your spirit. Don’t walk with it you. Hallelujah!

A few years ago, I received a bad report from the doctor. My mind kept playing the report back to me. My imagination went on overdrive and kept playing horrible videos about the condition. I became sicker. Fear gripped my soul.

What happened? I agreed with the doctor’s report and the forces of evil took advantage to torment me which inadvertently worsened the condition.

In the midst of the fear and pains, GOD’s Word came to my Spirit by the way of Don Moen’s song “I am the LORD that healeth thee”. That day, something snapped in me and faith welled up in me to war against that condition with GOD’s Word.

Whatever you allow continues, but whatever you reject stops. For as long as I accepted that sickness, it stayed and became worse. But when I disagreed with it, our relationship terminated and it had to go away.

Likewise do not agree with lack, limitation, poverty, depression, fear etc. Instead boldly declare that GOD’s grace abounds to you and you have more than enough: affirm that you are the healed, the graced, the favored, the righteous, etc. And it shall become the norm in your life.

You belong to the Kingdom of GOD. And “… the Kingdom of God is … of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 14:17).

It is GOD’s design that you live a life of goodness, peace and joy. Anything contrary speaks of satanic interference. And you war against Satan’s evil machinations by affirming GOD’s Words.

Never be accepting of negative happenings without conducting the Word-test. Line it up with GOD’s Word. GOD’s written Word is HIS mind revealed to us. Do not be taken in by the devil’s devices to pervert GOD’s Word. He would try to convince you that your challenges are GOD ordained. Speak GOD’s Word to that challenge and it will conform to GOD’s perfect will.

Some ignorant folks think affirmation is synonymous to denial. Denial is a defense mechanism whereas affirmation is the Christian’s weapon for offense.

When the world fell into darkness and was in confusion, GOD spoke Words to put light and order back into it. And that same GOD says to you now:

“I have put My words in your mouth and have covered you with the shadow of My hand, to establish the heavens, to found the earth, and to say to Zion, ‘You are My people.” (Isaiah 51:16).

And what Word has GOD put in your mouth?

“The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming (Romans 10:8).

GOD’s word is given to you to enable you live victoriously in this life.

The forces of evil cannot stand the power in GOD’s Word For as scripture says: “… thou hast made thy name to be magnificent and raised up thy spoken word above all things.” (Psalm 138:2 ; Jubilee Bible, 2000). Hallelujah! GOD’s name and Word is magnified and exalted above all things. That GOD is our GOD!

The Church of GOD is a prevailing force and not a group of cowards who hide behind defense mechanisms. Affirmation is a weapon for spiritual warfare.

With our Affirmations, we put the “sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of GOD’’ (Ephesians 6:17) to work. There is nowhere GOD’s Word can’t penetrate and no situation or circumstances it cannot transform.

Make bold your confessions for “God didn’t give us a cowardly spirit but a spirit of power, love, and good judgment. (2 Timothy 1:7; GOD’S WORD® Translation)

Declare your healing, deliverance, salvation, success, and prosperity. Say what GOD’s Word say about your life and not what the devil assail you with. Hold fast the profession of your faith. Keep on declaring the CHRIST achieved for you. Declare who you are in CHRIST.

It does not matter what people are saying about you. Re-echo GOD’s Word. That is who you are.

LET US PRAY:

ABBA DAD, I am so grateful for your Word which YOU have sent into my life today. I declare that YOUR Word has gained ascendancy in my life. My mind is conditioned to think and act on YOUR Word always. For in YOU I live, move and have my being.

I declare That everything that pertains and relates to me-my family, ministries, health, finances, health, aspirations and goals functions in accordance with YOUR Word.

I affirm that I continually experience peace, joy, prosperity, goodwill, supernatural favors, divine health, expanded mercy and great grace; in CHRIST loving name. Amein.- hephzibah christly

PROPHETIC DELIVERANCE PRAYER FOR YOU & FAMILY

“They have greatly oppressed me from my youth, but they have not gained the victory over me” (Psalm 129:2)

Let this become your testimony. You got the victory in CHRIST! It does not matter how many times you have failed in marriage; in business; in parenting etc. That does not define you! The devil threw all he got at you but you still kept going. That is who you are.

You are the victor not the victim.

“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world: your faith.” (1 John 5:4; WEB)

What kept you going? Your faith in GOD kept you going. GOD is in the fight for you and with you. That was the reason the enemy could not get at you, could not keep you down and could not kill you! Because your life is hid in CHRIST and CHRIST in GOD!

Hear me good! You are more than a conqueror: you are an overcomer!

Boldly Declare: I am the victor and not the victim!

Because GOD is for you, no one can be against you. Know this also that GOD causes all things to work together for your good.

It doesn’t matter who is throwing stones at you, the stones becomes a pillar for you! The anointing for conversion is upon you. Your pains are converting to praise, your songs of sorrows are becoming songs of joy: your fears diminishes and your faith grows. It is well with you.

Lots of people glory in men but you shall glory in the LORD your GOD for HE made you who you are today.

You are GOD-made and not man-made. No one can take the glory for your achievements. From the day you got CHRIST, HE has been working in you both to will and to do of HIS pleasure.

Your blockades are converting to breakthroughs and supernatural favors. Be confident that GOD will always show up strong for you. This is so possible because when the world say there is a pulling down we declare that there is a lifting up.

You are lifted up from sin, sorrows, shame, and sickness into the glorious liberty of the saints of GOD. You will continue to progress upward and forward. Everything that has made you stagnate is cut-off you. That circle of evil is destroyed.

You are in the world but do not rely on the functions of the world economy. Your needs are supernaturally met. Money answers to you. Hallelujah!

There shall be no lack of good things for: but you shall lack sicknesses, debts and all other evils making its rounds in the world today.

The downward pull terminated when CHRIST resurrected!!!! Oh my! My! My! The grave could not hold CHRIST captive and no way can it hold your blessings down.

I speak to every pit, hole, grave or wherever your generational blessings are being held captive, to RELEASE them now, in the name of JESUS!

I call forth divine repositioning for you all. New career and job opportunities are to be available to you all, in CHRIST glorious name. Be favored! I say again; BE FAVORED.

The riches of the gentiles accrued are released to come to you now! I see debts paid and some written off. You shall have gold as dust. The spiritual embargo on your economic prosperity is lifted; in CHRIST powerful name.

Be debt free now. Receive more grace to be prudent in your giving and spending’s, in CHRIST’s name!

I stand against every attempt by the forces of darkness to keep you in perpetual poverty through emotional buying and credit spending:

The FINGER of GOD is against all those peculiar problems that happen when money is coming to you, so that you end up recycling problems, working hard and never having enough! That curse is broken now.

The forces of evil are to leave your finances and economy now! The trend of wasteful spending is reversed. I speak prudent and planned spending over you. Receive the enabling grace to work at financial accountability and stewardship, in CHRIST name.

The yoke or recurring setbacks is hereby destroyed. GO! And make unprecedented progress. Doors of opportunities are opening up for you all over the place. Receive grace to make right choices in CHRIST’s name. Your ideas, projects, goods and services begin to experience an all-time high in CHRIST’s name.

The grace of giving comes upon you. You are blessed to be a blessing therefore do not hoard, for the more you give, the more you will receive. Let it flow.

I curse the root of bitterness in your life to wither now, from today let your life be sweet.

I speak healing over your wounded emotions. The grace to forgive and to receive forgiveness is released upon you now in CHRIST’s name. Be free!

Your tears of shame, the sorrows in your heart, the regrets and anguish in your soul are to stop now! You are free to live again. The torment has ended. Let the love of GOD flood your soul now in JESUS name.

The Bible says that ‘he who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor….’

Woman! You are loosed to be married; You are a city that is set on a hill that cannot be hid, therefore, every evil covering that has been shielding you from being found by your husband is hereby torn apart. Your husband will find you. And you shall have a grace-filled marriage.

Man! I release self-destruction on all satan’s evil programs that has filled your mind with confusion; and which disabled you from finding a wife so that you cannot obtain favor from GOD.

Receive clarity of vision. See your wife now, be decisive; receive your favor now, in CHRIST name. Be graced to enjoy your marriage in CHRIST’s perfect name. Amein.

ALL: GOD has not forgotten you. I see someone crying and asking GOD and saying ‘when will you visit me and turnaround my situation’. Get up, your change is come. GOD remembers you for good, the floodgates of blessings are now open for you. From very unlikely sources good will gravitate to you. Divine magnetic attraction is upon you to magnetize goodwill to you and alienate evil in JESUS name.

Your children will turn out well. GOD will turn their hearts from evil and draw them back to HIM. All relationships that the devil has been using to influence their negative lifestyles are hereby severed. Your children are delivered from mean and wicked persons. Righteous relationships are released to them.

PREPARATION PRECEDE BLESSINGS

“Break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the LORD until He comes to rain righteousness on you.” (Hosea 10:12).

In life, there are times and seasons. You may be going through that season whereby problems are assailing you from all sides.

That is the time to do some house cleaning and ‘break up your fallow ground’ (Hosea 10:12; Jeremiah 4:3) because seasons of sorrows precedes times of rejoicing.

The problems assailing you are already under control therefore shift focus from them and begin to make preparations for the incoming blessings.

As any farmer would tell you, “You do not sow your seed among thorns”. If you plant your seeds among thorns, the thorns would choke them.

In like manner, there are certain things/persons in your life right now that would choke out the incoming blessings. Confront them.

For example: Break off all your evil habits; break soul-ties to persons that have always adversely affected your life; re-order your priorities; realign your life to GOD’s perfect will; clear your heart of weeds – repent of those things in your life that are contrary to GOD’s Word: so that the incoming blessings would have the conducive environment to thrive in.

At this season, you have to seek GOD in persistent and persevering prayer until HE comes into that situation and your blessings manifest. Shalom!

WARFARE PRAYER:

ABBA DAD I am in desperate straits but I am grateful that the situations have not degenerated further. I have had moments when I felt all alone but YOU have guided me into your perfect will and restrained me from acting erratically because of the pressures I have been under. I am grateful.

Under these pressures, I am aware that I have failed YOU in my thought patterns and words. Forgive me FATHER.

Thank YOU for taking me out of the pit of despair I had fallen into and raising hope in me.

I ask of YOU ABBA to perfect all that concerns me. Give me directions. Help me to find my way out of this maze of confusion. Help me to keep the faith and to stay strong and focused on YOU.

In CHRIST matchless name, I come against the forces of darkness that have been disabling my support network and isolating me. They are to stop and get out of my life situations and circumstances now.

With the shield of faith, I stand against the forces of evil that have been using persons and things as the weak-link against me. I declare by the speaking blood of JESUS CHRIST that such persons and things are under the Blood of CHRIST and will no longer be Satan’s inroad into my life and family.

I affirm that all the negative words I uttered against such persons are null and void and can no longer be used against them. I speak a blessing over them and declare they are established in righteousness; they will grow in grace and favor with GOD and humans: I affirm that from now, they enter a new season that will change the course of their lives and make better persons of them, in CHRIST’s name.

I proclaim forgiveness for all who have yielded themselves as tools to the enemy and have been working against me. All who have lied and spread malicious rumors against me; treated me despicably; frustrated me at every point in life; physically abused, rejected, abandoned, disrespected and been disloyal to me; I forgive them all.

I receive more grace to deal with them as if those incidences never occurred. Thank YOU ABBA for YOUR enabling grace.

I speak forgiveness and cleansing into the hearts of all the persons that I too have hurt, failed, maligned, misunderstood, frustrated, disrespected and not given the benefit of doubt. I ask that the grace of forgiveness abound to them as well, in CHRIST merciful name.

I pray that they be saved from the inability to forgive and to let go: I stand against the forces of evil influencing bitterness, rage, anger, resentment, wickedness and all other evils in their lives: all such evil spirits are to get off them now.

With the speaking Blood of JESUS CHRIST, all the evil voices speaking to them are silenced: for the Blood is speaking peace, joy of the LORD, forgiveness, righteousness, restoration, establishment, wisdom and revelation knowledge for them.

I proclaim healings and wholeness to their wounded souls and repressed negative feelings.

I affirm that all our Divine relationships that have been severed are now restored.

I affirm that our enemies will serve us: Therefore, GOD has caused all the evil relationships orchestrated by the devil against us, to start working together for our good.

I affirm that our soul has quietened, our trust in GOD has increased and we are strengthened in the strength of the LORD.

I affirm that the LORD is gracious to me and my household; HE is full of compassion for us. For the LORD is a GOD of justice, HE does right by us. We are blessed in our longings for HIM.

I affirm that we will weep no longer. For our joy is come. The LORD has surely been gracious to us: HE has heard our cries and has answered our prayers.

I affirm that the lines are fallen to us in pleasant places and we have a goodly heritage.

We are blessed beyond any curse: no divination, enchantment, sorcery, imputation, jinx, or spell shall prosper against us.

Our Divine destiny is imprinted in our hearts; therefore our life is in sync with the Divine purpose for our lives. And we are running with the Divine vision for our lives, in CHRIST matchless name.

WARFARE PRAYER for RELEASE

“The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.” (I John 3:8b). I plead the speaking Blood of CHRIST JESUS over you and everything that pertains and relates to you.

I come against the power of the devil over your will, mind and emotion: And release you to live your life to the glory of GOD.

In CHRIST name, I bring under Divine subjection and captivity, all the forces of evil assigned against you to manipulate, intimidate, control, torment, possess, obsess and oppress you and yours; and order that they leave you and yours now.

The feelings of hopelessness, worthlessness, abjectivity and suicidal tendencies are to leave you now.

I affirm that you have received the spirit of love, power and soundness of mind: therefore, the mental attitude that puts you in slavery to persons, place or things or that makes you dependent upon persons, place or things; and whatever else has been exalted against the knowledge of GOD in your life; are cast down to disintegrate now.

I speak to your mind to be receptive of the Liberating Doctrines of CHRIST and for it to dwell richly in you by faith.

The fear that kept you bound to your present adverse situation is to leave you at once.

ANTIDOTE FOR DISCOURAGEMENT

“We must focus on Jesus, the source and goal of our faith. He saw the joy ahead of him, so he endured death on the cross and ignored the disgrace it brought him. Then he received the highest position in heaven, the one next to the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:2)

You are never alone. You are not a failure. Your present adversity is not the definition of who you are. GOD states in the Bible that when you pass through any adverse situation, HE would be with you to walk you through it.

Discouragement is satan’s weapon of destruction. Once you allow yourself to feel discouraged, your faith in GOD drops, you become hopeless and your body will begin to show signs of deterioration.

Discouragement is a sickness of the mind that affects the body.

Discouragement is borderline depression.

If you give it room to flourish in you, it would degenerate further to full-blown depression.

David confronted discouragement by encouraging himself in the LORD: He reminded himself of how faithful GOD was to him in the past, and he overcame it.

The more you dwell on the negatives, the more hopeless it gets and the more discouraged you become.

Therefore, be intentional in focusing on how GOD helped you pass through similar situations in the past. And tell yourself, with GOD’s help, you are coming out of this likewise.

JESUS CHRIST our Model confronted discouragement by focusing on the joy ahead of HIM. HE looked past the present painful challenge of rejection, disgrace, disrespect, abandonment, scourging and the humiliating death on the Cross.

And HIS endurance paid off. CHRIST received the highest position in heaven. HE got through a very discouraging time in HIS life by having a right mental attitude. So can you and so you should.

But rather unfortunately, the prophet Elijah gave in to discouragement. After a major victory over his enemies, Jezebel sent him a threatening message.

Instead of reflecting on the past victories, and how GOD also protected him in the past; he chose to focus on his present challenge- Jezebel’s threats.

The Bible says that “the fear of man is a snare”, As soon as Elijah allowed the fear of Jezebel to get the best of him, discouragement set in and it degenerated to depression. Which made him lost the will to live.

Dear Reader, we all have to confront discouraging circumstances at one point in life. But how you handle it will determine the result you get.

Confront your challenges at the place of prayer.

Disabilities become enabling grace when you focus on Divine abilities.

See the best possible outcome and refuse to see, think or dwell on the negatives that are flooding your mind.

Remember that the mind is the battle ground for spiritual warfare. Negative thoughts open you up for demonic oppression. The dwelling on negatives introduces pollution into the body and damages life.

Ask GOD to help you.

Encourage yourself in the LORD. Proceed to flood your mind with faith provoking thoughts. Hold fast your profession of faith. Keep saying it, and don’t stop believing it. Faith is the victory.

Ask for clarity so you can understand what happened, the lesson to be learned, how best to get through it and how to avoid such pitfalls in future.

If you got lost in the maze of problems, the best way out is through GOD.

When you seek HIS assistance, you will get all the support you will need and you will end up praising HIM.

Remember also that GOD has raised “watchmen” over you who are praying daily for you. The HOLY SPIRIT is in intercession for you. You are not alone. Be strong, be bold and be brave. Lift up your head in victory, it is well with you. Shalom!

Thanking ABBA FATHER for your life. I plead the speaking blood of JESUS CHRIST for forgiveness, cleansing and victory: I ask that you are granted more enabling grace to confront this present adversity without breaking down.

I join faith with you and come against the forces of evil influencing discouragement, negativity, depression, dejection, worthlessness, and suicide: they are all to get off you and your life’s situation and circumstances now, in CHRIST name.

Let the peace of GOD flood your soul right now. Be filled with supernatural strength to move on. Receive clarity, new ideas, favor with GOD and with humans and be successful in life, in CHRIST name I pray. Shalom!

COUNTERING DEMONIC INTERFERENCE IN MARRIAGE

Marital problems can deplete energy, disorient, and stagnate. There are some marital issues that result because of personality differences and unrealistic expectations. But there are those that are influenced by the forces of evil.

Sometime ago, a spouse contacted me because he could no longer live with his wife. He hated everything about her. It was as if she had become a monster overnight. No; there was no ‘other woman’ involved. He resented her in his home.

I discerned that the forces of evil were influencing the situation. And we launched out in warfare prayer against the demonic hordes working against their marriage. And through online counselling, we were able to work through all the other issues that opened them up for demon activity.

Some of those issues are also confronted in this prayer as well.

LET US PRAY:

ALMIGHTY GOD, thank YOU for the marriages represented hereon.

I ask ABBA that your power to heal and to restore be here present.

I identify and confess as sin: anger, bitterness, resentment, selfishness, greed, avarice, inability to forgive and to let go, disobedience, and the putting of others first before YOU and our spouse.
In accordance with YOUR Word, I affirm that you have blotted out our sins as well as the handwriting of ordinances working against us.
We receive cleansing from all unrighteousness. And affirm that our minds are renewed and we now function in accordance with your will.

Let your peace flood our souls.

Let unconditional love saturates the entirety of our beings so that the wives will be submissive; the husbands would love their wives las CHRIST loved the Church and died for Her; and both spouses would submit to one another in love.

By the Speaking Blood of JESUS CHRIST, We come against the forces of evil that has been assigned to frustrate and break marriages.

All controlling spirits sent against your marriage are bound and rendered impotent and are to leave at once.

All negative spiritual networks and reinforcements are to self-destruct at once. Zero visuals. Your marriage is no longer in satan’s radar now, in CHRIST’s name
All demons on assignment to your marriage are now isolated and rendered impotent. They can no longer perform their enterprise.

The name of JESUS CHRIST is exalted above all names in heaven, on earth and under the earth: therefore as these names are mentioned, all evil spirits and their relatives associated with the following names are to leave at once without causing any damage to lives and property:

Anger; bitterness; resentment; selfishness; malcontent; greed; avarice; wickedness; negative memory; frustration; divorce; separation; single-parenting; constant disagreements; deep seated anger; anguish of soul; fault-finding; blame-shifting; rejection; irresponsibility; plan-less spending; addiction and addictive behaviour; carelessness; inconsideration; vindictiveness; trouble from in-laws; the tormenting of children with regular/cyclical sicknesses; economic hardship; hate; revenge; disharmony and all form of abuse; cheating; lying; lust; unrealistic expectations, occult projections; witchcraft; idolatry and sorcery: Go now!

I place a ban on all outgoing demons to never to come back under any guise or disguise to torment, oppress, suppress, obsess, intimidate, manipulate, or control ever again, in CHRIST’s name’

The FINGER of GOD, the shield of faith and the word of my testimony is against all such evil spirits.

I affirm that the works of the devil is destroyed and your marriage is set free to model CHRIST and the Church.

Today is the day of salvation, restoration, deliverance and healing of individuals and marriages! An end has come to evil. The good is come. Let peace like a river flow!

All the works of the devil in your marriage is destroyed!
Your emotions, mind-set, affection, memory, feelings, mouth, reasoning faculties, perception, understanding, hearing, view-point, speech, body language, attitude and personality is cleansed and renewed.
GOD is working in and through you to touch more lives through your marriage.

Your marriage is graced and favoured. Unity, harmony, faith, commitment, understanding, love, loyalty, accountability, and Godly characteristics flourish.

The fruit of the Holy Spirit is more evident in you. You are producing fruits worthy of repentance.
Your household is blessed. Your children are blessed.
Your marriage will not end in divorce. The scourge of ancestral marital failures is stopped in your generation. Single parenting is not your portion. Your spouse will not abandon you and the kids.
Your spouse will live long and you both shall enjoy your marriage and endure each other.
The other man/woman is to go at once and be married to another
Ungodly soul ties are severed. No one, no matter who they are, can interfere with your marriage again. The joy of marriage is restored to you. Your companionship is restored.
We boldly declare that the forces behind addiction, infidelity, spousal abuse and neglect are incapacitated. Your marital bond is renewed.
Every other relationship that is interfering with the unity and harmony of your family is terminated at once. All straying spouses are to return home and be reconciled. Forgiveness flourishes. Laughter resounds in your home.

I speak to your finances and economic base to receive the multiplier effect. Have more than enough and bless others.
From today, the love and fear of GOD shall inform all your interactions with each other, in CHRIST name.

Receive more grace in your marriage. It is well with you all, in CHRIST name I have prayed.

RESILIENCE, REPENTANCE, RESTORATION II

“In repentance and rest shall be your strength” (Isaiah 30:15)

A confused and clueless leadership mirrors the confusion and ‘cluelessness’ of the society, just as a corrupt leader point to the corrupt conditioning of the people. A people always get the leader they deserve. And the leader is always a reflection of the society/the people he leads.

Repentance and Restoration

Change is a process and not a political slogan. Change can either be positive or negative. You can either be changed for the better, or for the worse.

And the greatest barrier to change is a selfish, self-centered and myopic mindset. A mindset can be described as a set of attitudes or fixed ideas that somebody has and that are often difficult to change. A leader who tries to enforce change that is alien to the society would meet with stiff opposition. Because change, must start from within to be effective.

Back in Old Testament days, the people cried for ‘change’.

They argued that they wanted to be like the other nations: They felt their present leadership was anti-progress. However, they forgot that they were undergoing a process of positive change already. These were a people group who had lived under the influence of a foreign culture for centuries. They had lost their cultural heritage as GOD’s own people. In addition, they had lost their independence and became slaves in that foreign culture.

When GOD supernaturally granted them independence, they could not let go their victim-mentality. They held unto the culture of their foreign colonial masters which was negating the purpose of their liberation. They were given autonomy so that under Divine leadership, they would become a model nation: A reference point for other nations of the world.

Rather unfortunately, their mental attitude became a major barrier. They were not able to follow the process for positive change. Their mindset had made them hard-hearted, stiff-necked and very resistant to positive change. They had no understanding that “changes” must first be internalized to be productive: under the influence of some disgruntled and selfish elders, they rebelled and made CHANGE their political slogan. They made the Prophet Samuel who was then their leader; the ‘scapegoat’.

The prophet Samuel felt affronted but GOD calmed him down and told him that the people’s demand for ‘change’ was not a rejection of him Samuel, but a rejection of GOD’s Divine leadership. GOD acquiesced to their demands. HE agreed to ‘change’ their leader and leadership style and to give them the ‘man of their choice’.

However, God gave a warning:

He told them they were getting into a phase that would be characterized by adversity, because the new leader would be relentless in serving his personal and selfish interests at the detriment of the populace. He said further that, the people would suffer under the yoke of oppression so much so that they would seek Divine Intervention; but HE would not answer their cries. (Read all about it in 1 Samuel chapter Eight).

The people eventually got the ‘man’ of their choice as promised. Their victory was short-lived. Soon after, things went south for them.

All that was foretold happened.

The story of that chosen leader (King Saul) had a tragic ending. Although he was a good person, he became corrupted by having great power thrust upon him.

SIMILARITY: State of the nation-Nigeria

Power corrupts.

There is so much similarity between our present Nigeria of 2016, and Israel during the time of the Prophet Samuel. We saw obvious faults with the past administration of Goodluck Ebelle Jonathan. In comparison, Prophet Samuel and our past leader (President G.E.J) were good but weak leaders who lost control over their ‘children’.

However, it is rather unfortunate that like Israel, in trying to correct what was wrong, we have made a greater mistake. Go back through history and the Bible. Israel was in a transitional stage and they needed a leader who had a heart for GOD. GOD himself chose Samuel. Nigeria too was at a place that needed someone with the grace of GOD upon his/her life to keep the nation together. Look at the circumstances that brought Goodluck Jonathan to power. I see a Divine hand and answers to the prayers of those who did not want our nation to disintegrate,

It is true that our past leader was a good man. But when he faced the reality of the evolving political scene (which I described in the first part of this writing) he lost control. How did that happen, you may wonder?

The problems of Nigeria are diverse and deeply entrenchened. Any person who sits at the helms of affairs must constantly have spiritual coverage: but preferably from the positive spiritual realm where CHRIST is LORD.

When President G.E.J came into power, jubilation by both the Christian and Muslim communities filled the air. However, soon afterwards some of the ‘religious fathers’ fell out with him and began to subtly manipulate the people against him. All this happened because in an unguarded moment he made some uncomplimentary statement against the ‘elders’ of the ‘Church’.

It is only in Christianity that a fallen soldier is trampled upon.

It pleases GOD that we should pray for our leaders. So that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness (See 1 Timothy 2 1-4). Instead of encouraging their congregants to counter the forces of evil that were at work against the Body of Christ in Nigeria, some of the ‘Church fathers’ manipulated the people to commence praying against our national leader. Then chaos resulted: for as Scriptures says, ‘a house divided cannot stand’

The irony of it all was that the Muslims had accepted him even though he had professed to be a Christian. When His own ‘people’, the Christians started the ‘spiritual war’ against ‘him’, the Muslims had to rethink their stand.

The two major realms of existence are the spiritual and the physical.

The spiritual realm controls the physical realm. Before anything manifests in the physical realm, it must have been decided first in the spiritual realm. Prayer is the most powerful means of deciding issues in the spirit realm. People call into play the power of the ‘one’ they pray unto. The more you pray, the more power you release into your situation.

And there are also two kingdoms in the spiritual realm. Which are: God’s Kingdom of Light, where CHRIST JESUS is Sovereign: and the kingdom of darkness where Satan the devil head’s.

It would interest you to know that there is ongoing warfare between the two kingdoms to dominate the Souls of Humans. There is no demilitarized zone. You are either in the Light with Christ or in the dark with the devil. Most Christians are so ignorant that a house that wars against itself cannot stand. Satan thrives at creating dissent and division among Christians; in order to weaken their unity. Because he knows that Christians are a force to be reckoned with when there is unity of the spirit in the bond of peace.

When Christians stand together in prayer, much positive power is released into the world, and evil cannot thrive.

That was why he struck at our unity and got some ‘ignorant’ Christians to do his dirty work for him. Satan gave them a cause and they cursed. Most carnal Christians default to their occult-roots when facing challenges. That was the reason the Christian ‘Nay-Sayers’ reverted to their religious condition steeped in African Traditional religion, and went into witchcraft praying.

And the ‘man’ fell.

He lost the positive spiritual support he needed to confront and subdue the political terrorists, the political power-brokers, and the Established Bureaucrats; and he became game. They began to play him like ‘Ludo”. His spiritual covering had gotten big holes in it: his prayer partners had abandoned him: and the demonic hordes swamped him.

It may interest you to know that ‘G.E.J’ still had some faithful “watchmen’ who were still praying for him but they too soon lost faith in him; the spiritual battle was fierce.

The paparazzi too were on his case. And he lost faith in himself. It was as if he had sold out his soul to the devil. With everything going wrong around him, he was seen to be indifferent. He had gone into stupor- the witchcraft-praying had cast a spell on him.

When the hedge is broken, the serpent strikes.

And the vampires went to work. They almost sucked the life out of Nigeria, but for the mercy of GOD.

They sold Nigeria to the lowest bidder.

For example: Egbin power plant was valued at $1.2 billion by a German electricity company but was sold to Sahara energy for a mere pittance of $470 million. If it were possible, they would have carried Nigeria and hidden it in some foreign bank as well. Moreover, “GOD pass them”.

And instead of seeking a Divine and lasting solution for the state of the nation, the great multitude sought help from a mere human being! They chose Buhari. By that act, the Christian leaders entered into an arrangement with the child of the ‘bondwoman’ that invoked the curse of slavery, while rejecting the liberty of the Messianic Kingdom.

Nigerians are very religious by cultural conditioning.

By cultural conditioning, I mean that for the most times, we allow our parents, religious leaders, peers, professors, politicians, and the media define our cultural values, ethical systems, beliefs and ultimately the way we perceive ourselves.

And that was what happened when the ‘past president G.E.J.’ was found wanting in his administrative style. Our ‘cultural conditioning’ came into play. The political power brokers and our religious leaders carried the people into idolatry by influence and by intrigue. According to Webster, idolatry is ‘’the worship of idols or excessive devotion to, or reverence for some person or thing’

Idolatry is the bane of humanity. It is not just a Nigerian or African problem.

Idolatry is when we place something or someone first in our life before the living and true GOD

A country where the majority of the people chose to idolize a human being as the one who would ‘change’ their known world, already set-up that person for failure. That was an outright rejection of GOD and the enthronement of Godlessness. The people literally told GOD to ‘hands-off’ their country because the ‘man’ of their choice would do better than GOD.

Anyone or anything thing that is exalted above the knowledge of GOD is an idol and idols face destruction. Idolatry was the main reason GOD rebuked and judged the nation Israel (read the book of Chronicles).

Unless we as a people return our faith back to GOD we are in for a rough judgment ride which has already commenced.

Since Nigeria became independent the people have been very confused. They have been caught in the middle of ethnic-cultural and political conflicts. Then the military forcefully took over the reins of power and further compounded the situation.

Those who fought for independence had very good intentions. But rather unfortunately, they did not think to set in place structures that would re-orient the minds of the people. Instead, they built upon structures that were already against the cultures, personalities, and natural boundaries of the people.

The founding fathers were from both the south and the north. Those from the south were majorly Christians, while those from the north were majorly Muslims. These two people group had clearly set natural boundaries; the Rivers Niger and Benue. However, instead of reverting to the Divine Order which was clearly visible by the natural boundaries, they chose to continue with the enforced structure of colonialism and western culture, which in itself breeds confusion.

The diversities of our cultural and religious heritage are like oil and water which do not mix well. To further compound the issues, the colonial mentality made us vulnerable to western influence. That has been the bane of Nigeria.

Most of the crises in Nigeria have been motivated by ethnocentric and religious disagreement, involving Economic and Political power sharing. Because some groups refuses to be marginalized.

And the most recent election results that brought Buhari to power showed a mixing of oil and water. To some extent, the various ethnic and religious groups agreed, howbeit temporarily, to put their major disagreements aside. They chose to make an idol of a mere human being. While clamoring for change, they did not realize they were being manipulated into idolatry.

There is no one person who can bring about change in Nigeria. Nigeria belongs to GOD.

The change we need in Nigeria should cut very deep into the very heart of the people. That change would bring about the transformation of lives. When the mindset is changed, change would reflect in every aspect of life

GOD has been our help in ages past and HE will continue to be our HELP.

The way forward is a back to GOD time for Nigerians. As scripture states;

“Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14).

To turn from our wicked ways involves ‘repentance’

This is a wake-up call for all Christians in Nigeria.

It is our responsibility as the people of GOD to go back to GOD in repentance.

Let the truth be told:

‘We the Christian community failed woefully in our position as ‘watchmen to the nation’. We sold-out our heritage and denied the faith. We put self-interest before GOD’s Word. Instead of transforming the world with the Word of GOD, by the renewing of our mind: we allowed the words of man to deform our minds’.

Let us come together and ask GOD to forgive us and our nation Nigeria. It is not enough to be making Prophetic declarations and positive confessions. Those have their have their place as well as REPENTANCE.

What is REPENTANCE?

We need to see sin from a Godly perspective as well as admit to it. The Psalmist cried in repentance to GOD saying, “My guilt overwhelms me–it is a burden too heavy to bear” (Psalm 38:4; NLT) I recognize my faults; I am always conscious of my sins. (Psalm 51:3; GNB)

GOD forgives sins not excuses. As a Nation we should admit to our faults.

Confession of sin:

“I acknowledged my sin to YOU, and my iniquity I did not hide; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD”; And You forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah” (Psalm 32:5).

Sin need to be confronted by acknowledgement. When we confess our sins GOD forgives: however, in Proverbs 28:13, the Bible says: “People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy” (NLT).

Again it says in 1 John 1:9 that “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

Repentance will bring mercy, cleansing and restoration.

A willingness to give up sin:

We must as an act of repentance be willing to “lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us” (Hebrew 12:1),

This means that we have to identify those things that always trip us up and be willing to lay it aside.

Develop a hatred for sin.

In order to develop an aversion for sin, Bible says:

“You will look back on all the ways you defiled yourselves and will hate yourselves because of the evil you have done.’’ (Ezekiel 20:43, NLT)

RESTITUTION

Restitution means the restoration of something lost or stolen to its proper owner. Read Luke 19:8

Repentance is not simply a once only act, but a heart attitude, or mindset (if you will); that is basic to our ongoing relationship with GOD.

After Repentance, there will be RESTORATION:

RESTORATION

In the Bible, Restoration means to receive back more than has been lost to the point where the final state is greater than the original condition. The main point is that someone or something is improved beyond measure.

GOD’s Word is Truth and absolutely dependable. HE promises in HIS Word to forgive our sins and heal our land if we turn back to HIM in repentance.

People of GOD; you have a responsibility to identify with and repent for and on behalf of your nation.

Some promises of Restoration to Live By from the Bible

“I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you. “You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. And my people shall never again be put to shame”. (Joel 2:25-26; ESV)

“Instead of your shame there shall be a double portion; instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their lot; therefore in their land they shall possess a double portion; they shall have everlasting joy”. (Isaiah 61:7; ESV)

After Job repented and prayed for his friends, GOD restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before.

That is our expectation for our nation.

Just as it is written …, all this disaster has come on us, yet we have not sought the favor of the LORD our GOD by turning from our sins and giving attention to your truth. The LORD did not hesitate to bring the disaster on us, for the Lord our GOD is righteous in everything he does; yet we have not obeyed him.

LORD our GOD, who gave us independence with a mighty hand and who made for you a name that endures to this day, we have sinned, and we have done wrong.

LORD, in keeping with all your righteous acts, turn away your anger and your wrath from Nigeria, your city, your holy hill. Our sins and the iniquities of our ancestors have made Nigeria and your people an object of scorn to all the nations of the earth.

“Now, our GOD, hear the prayers and petitions of your servant. For your sake, LORD, look with favor on your desolate country. Give ear, our GOD, and hear; open your eyes and see the desolation of the (nation)… that bears your Name. We do not make requests of YOU because we are righteous, but because of YOUR great mercy.

Lord, listen! Lord, forgive! Lord, hear and act! For your sake, my GOD, do not delay, because your city and your people bear your Name.” in CHRIST merciful name we pray. Amein

My Prayer for Us:

We cry out to GOD to please come back and be GOD over our nation Nigeria. We say Come take YOUR place in our nation and our lives. Be BIG, BE MAGNIFIED. Thank YOU for forgiving us and manifesting the healings of our land.

Direct our leaders and cut short the days of our affliction.

In CHRIST name, we pull down ancient structures of evil and demolish ancestral yokes of oppression, wickedness and corruption. We dislodge, dismantle and destroy the core of ethnocentric control of leadership placement and declare that Nigeria is GOD’s own country and powered by the HOLY SPIRIT, in CHRIST matchless name.

We affirm that the LORD will guide us continually, satisfy our souls in drought and strengthen our bones. And we shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. Hallelujah!

Let us stand in the gap for Nigeria so that mercy will prevail over judgment.

RESILIENCE, REPENTANCE, RESTORATION

“Rejoice not over me, O my enemy; when I fall, I shall rise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me.” (Micah 7:8; Esv).

Politicians are in the business of politics. Pastors are in the business of preserving lives for an eternity in GOD’s Kingdom. The meeting point of Pastors and Politicians is ‘The People’: whom they are called or elected to serve.

And The People are those Human Beings who were created by the Omniscient GOD. It is that same GOD who also created the world that we are living in.

The Pastor is an agent of GOD for the people. A pastor who joins with the political class against the people has denied the faith. He is become worse than an infidel.

The Politician is supposed to be an agent of the people and who works for the good of the people who chose him/her.

It is in the interest of Politicians to take cognizance of what GOD says in the Bible: That “Evil will never leave the house of one who pays back evil for good’’ (Proverbs 17:13; NIV)

This write up will be in two sections. And will be from the perspective of Christian Counselor and Spiritual Warrior.

CLARITY

I have refrained from publicly expressing negative views on the political climate in Nigeria. But with resent happenings, I would fail as an agent of GOD if I do not speak out.

The evolution of political culture in Nigeria has made it clear that some politicians seek public office for purely selfish reasons. These Political-Terrorists go into politics with a mind that is set to “STEAL”. They have shamelessly stolen our refineries, our rubber plantations, our roads, our schools, our hospitals as well as anything they can steal.

They think their children will enjoy the ill-gotten wealth they have amassed. That is never going to happen unless they repent and restore back all they stole.

The lack of knowledge about spiritual principles causes people to misbehave and then suffer regrettably for their ignorance.

The spiritual controls the physical. There are laws/ working principles that the universe operate on. And our actions; whether in ignorance or deliberately activates such laws.

For example, when Adam and Eve acted in disobedience, the law of deterioration was activated. That is what the Bible in Romans 8 refers to as the Law of sin and death.

These Political-Terrorists are so unaware that when they invest stolen things into their family, they compromise the future of their family. They used the stolen wealth to give their family the good life without knowing that they have activated the curse of destruction into their bloodline. They think they are giving their family and edge over others. Instead they made outcasts.

That is the reason most of their children are morally corrupt. The great majority of those kids have mental health issues. Some of the ones who were sent overseas to study ended up living riotously and wasting away as drug users and alcoholics. Those that have grown up have become irresponsible adults. They are just wasting away organizing sex-orgies; doing drugs and causing problem for law abiding citizens.

Do these political-terrorists think they have stolen from the ‘national-cake’; whatever that is? NO! They have only succeeded in stealing the future of their offspring. They have enabled their families to never experience the joy of having life in all its fullness.

These Political-Terrorists need to search their souls. They have to stop the tide of destruction they have unleashed on their families.

They are to be pitied, and interceded for so that they would realize their wrong ways and repent.

But before these Political Terrorists can become the ‘Change-agent’ of Nigeria; let them first change their ‘mind-set; return to GOD and restructure their families

There is also another group of politicians who see themselves as Power Brokers.

The Political Power-Brokers are the insidious political class who deliberately affect the distribution of political or economic power by intrigue or by exerting influence.

They are the evil geniuses among the politicians. And they think that power and the distribution of power is their birth-right. They are the antithesis of GOD. They stand against GOD to direct the affairs of Humans.

This brings to my mind the story of Nebuchadnezzar.

Nebuchadnezzar was a king of the Neo-Babylonian Empire, who reigned c. 605 BC – 562 BC. Biblical records and secular history both agree that Nebuchadnezzar was an ambitious, brutal and powerful king. He was warned in a dream that he had to humble himself and recognize that his power, wealth and influence were from GOD and not his own ability.

But rather unfortunately, Nebuchadnezzar took no cognizance of the warning of that dream. And so, GOD judged him as HE had declared and Nebuchadnezzar went insane for seven (7) years.

The Good News is that when Nebuchadnezzar’s sanity was restored, he finally humbled himself before GOD.

No one who stands against GOD or who plays at being GOD can do that for long. The SOVEREIGN LORD, who is also the RIGHTEOUS JUDGE of the universe eventually, intervenes to restore order.

Even though it is said that “Politics is war without bloodshed”; the various classes of politicians are willing to kill, maim and steal for their ungodly ambition.

Every day, people are dying because of the selfish and self-centeredness of the political class.

These past months Nigerians have been experiencing the down-side of ‘change’.

Power supply went from epileptic to zero.

Pump stations shut their pumps.

The prices of Food-stuffs increased very alarmingly.

RESILIENCE & INGENUITY OF NIGERIANS

Nigerians are very resilient and ingenious.

When the power sector degenerated to epileptic power supply, the Nigerian Business people cashed-in on it by importing power–generator sets. What was supposed to be back-up has now become the accepted norm. The politicians and their stooges in the federal ministries hijacked the importation of generators!

Because of the multi-billion dollars profit involved, they abandoned the public power sector: And subtly negates any attempt by any administration to rehabilitate the power sector.

When the water corporation failed; dredging of personal or community boreholes became expedient. Business people went into importation of water pumps and water treatment plants.

And then we started having bagged and bottled water today. No more public water because that would interfere with the ‘cut’ the politicians and bureaucrats are getting from the business community.

And then the fuel crises began. It took a while before the general public realized that our refineries were sabotaged so that the ruling class could build their own refineries and thus control the ‘oil sector’.

The scenario is something like this:

Fuel is taken out of the country to be refined in refineries owned by some of the ‘ruling classes, and subsidized from the national coffers. Heads or tails they win.

When they said they were going to import fuel, gullible Nigerians were very happy: without realizing that the ‘ruling class has betrayed our trust and were enriching themselves.

The few Nigerians who raised their voices were hunted down, imprisoned and executed secretly. Others went into exile. While some others who could not afford living in exile, took to the river creeks to fight their cause.

Without power, nearly everything runs to a standstill.

These past months, the fuel crises reared its ugly head again. The queues have become longer. The pump-stations are not selling. The ‘marketers’ are on the warpath. And some of the political class are hiding behind the ‘marketers’ because they own those companies.

When there is no fuel, we can’t pump water. And these boreholes have water pumps that run on electricity.

And the fuel stations are not selling

You can begin to imagine the scenario of what is still ongoing. Both generators and pumping machines are powered by electricity. The electricity companies are not generating enough power: And there is no fuel to power both the generators and pumping machines.

Simply put there is no light and water. And there is no fuel for our cars as well.

Added to which, the prices of general goods and food items are no longer affordable.

In some communities, robbers are taking advantage of the darkness to raid homes and rape women and children.

And worse still, people have to trek long distance to get to work for two major reasons.

The more obvious one – no fuel in their cars.
Some had fuel but the roads are in chaos.

The cars that queue up for fuel obstructs traffic and the traffic –controllers are themselves caught up in the mess of having to walk long distance to the work-place..

As if that in itself is not stressful enough, people have to either dismantle their generator’s fuel tank, or push the generator itself to queue up for fuel. The other alternative is to stay in darkness.

People are cut-off because phone batteries drained out and they are not able to power it up.

Thank GOD that at the height of these chaotic situations, schools went on Easter Break. And the kids were home or else the situation would have exploded.

Nigerians do not expect much from their political leaders really. We are aware that the majority of them have ungodly ambitions.

It is the absolute disregard for humanity that irks.

How can a person steal billions of dollars in one life-time? Haba!

And then one dreamer wants to tamper with fuel subsidy. Not in this administration. That is a no-go area. Why would anyone think of removing fuel-subsidy?

What have Nigerians benefitted from the past and present various administrations? We are yet to experience the gains of democracy.

There are no structures for public health services; water and power supplies are non-existent; roads are death-traps: schools are in bad shape and security is at its lowest. Kidnappings, armed robbery and crimes against women are increasing at a very alarming rate.

In fact, the various political classes have robbed the people silly.

Fuel subsidy is our consolation. It helps us to keep going past the thieving political classes. And the removal will introduce unbearable hardships on the populace and something will crack.

The underlying tension is gradually building up. Caution should be exercised.

The removal of fuel-subsidy is not going remove the corruption in the system.

Fuel subsidy should be increased rather than removed, after all, this Administration claims to have recovered ‘stolen money’ One good thing came out of the crises. The terrorists too have no fuel and that has restricted their movements.

Nigerians are the most resilient people in the universe. We are able to adapt to any situation because our fall back is GOD.

The majority of Christians in Nigeria are prayer warriors. Church attendance has its all-time high during public crises.

I pray GOD intervenes and come speedily to our aid in CHRIST’s name.

The problems of Nigeria is beyond the power of any one ‘person’ or ‘group of persons’ who thought or still ‘thinks’ they would ‘change’ the system overnight.

ANOTHER PLAYER IN THE POLITICAL SCENE

Past administrations failed because they could not ‘change’ the Established Bureaucrats

The Established Bureaucrats are actually terrorists in disguise. And are stooges of past, past and past ex-military and political power-brokers. They are more secret than the most secret-secret societies you have heard of.

They subtly stand against anything that is not in the interest of persons or individuals they represent. Their power is their invisibility. They are nameless and faceless. Although they are invisible in their visibility, they are not INVINCIBLE.

You will find these Established Bureaucrats in the federal and state civil services, and in the government corporations and parastatals. Some of them are career civil-servants. And they are going to be there till they retire or are disfavored by their benefactors.

These Established Bureaucrats are so influential that they can disable projects and render administrations impotent. They are a force to be reckoned with.

That notwithstanding, their power base can be broken by a people who makes the ALMIGHTY GOD their HELPER

The sad thing is that these Political Terrorists, Political Power-Brokers and Established Bureaucrats are Nigerians: they are family, people we respect and want to be like.

So then, why can’t we confront them?

Because, hardship has eroded values from the grassroots levels of home, church, mosque and school.

Our parents, religious leaders and school heads have failed us. The great majority of them have become puppets to Political Terrorists, Political Power-brokers and the Established Bureaucrats. They have lost their calling and conscience to the pursuit of wealth and fame.

Corruption has become a culture of the people; it has become so ingrained in the very fabrics of the society. It would take centuries of reorientation, re-indoctrination and reconditioning to flush it out, unless GOD supernaturally intervenes.

Present Administration primarily cannot solve these problems bedeviling our people.

We are in dire need of GOD’s Divine intervention.

But then, GOD only intervenes through willing humans such as you and I. We can make a difference by our prayers. And then live exemplary life-styles as well as restore the teaching of Godly values in our home.

Change is not a political slogan but a process through which something becomes different.

I plead the speaking blood of JESUS CHRIST over Nigeria. I come against all the forces of evil that have united to spoil Nigeria. As an Oracle of the MOST HIGH GOD, I declare they are frustrated and all their devices are to self-destruct now.

I affirm that the process of change commences with us as parents, religious leaders and that it would cut across all the various strata of our society.

I proclaim that the power-base of the evils in our land is being destroyed: And those who are in bondage to wicked and mean masters are being delivered.

I declare that Nigeria is vomiting those who have stolen from us and have sold-out the Nation to their satanic associates. They are being exposed, disgraced and their connections and liaisons are destroyed as well.

From today, the agreements, bonds and covenants between groups, secret societies, parties and all other related associations that have united to defraud, degrade, and dehumanize Nigeria and Nigerians; whoever they maybe, whatever their rank-position or authority: They are all to start functioning in confusion, division, exposures, betrayals and renunciations in CHRIST Omnipotent name.

It is written that GOD confirms and performs the counsel of HIS messenger and servant. It is done. Nigeria will rise and thrive again. “Amein” – hephzibah christly
