The Better than yoga exercise for Christians

Yoga is not a Christian form of meditation. Any Christian who practices any form of yoga is deviating from the Christian discipline.  And by doing yoga  you would also be  activating demon spirits who would eventually access your life to cause troubles.

But this Christian form of meditation which is shared with you here:  would keep  you demons free, delivered, victorious and fruitful in righteousness.

Step 1: Choose a quiet spot where you won’t be distracted :Take your Bible, sit down and read a chapter.

Step 2: Still sitting :Close your eyes. Bow down your head in worship. With your elbows on your laps, entwine your fingers and rest your fore head or wrap your hands round your body in an embrace.

Step 3: Let the Words you read from your Bible flow through your mind.

Step 4: Go down on your knees. Lift your holy hands towards heaven and gently away from side to side.

Step 4: Let gratitude flood your soul and flow out through your mouth in songs of praise to God for all your challenges and blessings. Extol God with high praise.
(10mins)

Step 5: In that same mood, open your mouth and speak blessings over your families, friends, church, community, country: and salvation for the unsaved. Make Prophetic Declarations (10mins)

Step 6: Now you can pour out your heart to God. Express yourself freely. You are in the Throne Room. Share your joys, pains, disappointments, expectations – everything troubling your mind with Him. Ask Him whatever you need. Just upload all your problems (take all the time you need).

Step 7: Sit still. Be quiet and confident. And listen to God’s Word that will come to you in your spirit. Have a pen and paper handy to write it all down.

Step 8: Arise! Strengthened, energized, invigorated, empowered healed and filled afresh with the Holy Spirit.

Christianity involves living a life of faith in God, discipline as well as manifesting the fruits of righteousness. It is therefore important that you do this at least once daily for better results.

Good Character and Warfare Prayers

‘Can prayer override good character?’ Quite recently I heard the story of a young man who desperately sought work. He had submitted his CV to a company and waited for the interview date to be scheduled. But he was unaware that he was a preferred candidate because someone in that company had recommended him.

One Day he got a phone call that was to change his life for good. Guess what? He was rude and very impolite to the person at the other end. And so he was by-passed for the position even though he was qualified and with good recommendations.

Anyways, he later got to know about how he messed up big time. Even though he was full of remorse, it was already too late.

So he went to his pastor for prayer and Deliverance.

Can prayer override good character?

According to the pastor, even though he prayed for him, he told him that no matter how much we pray our character must line up with God’s Word in order to get good results.

It is true according to the Scriptures that we should pray about all things and at all times. But we still have the responsibility to develop Christ-like character as well.

A characterless person is like salt that has lost its saltiness. Salt that has lost saltiness  is worthless

This is the truth that we as Christians need to understand. We are the salt of the earth and the light of the world.

Just as salt adds value and preserves, the Christian is  to preserve and add value to lives.

As light shines and illuminate darkness, the Christian is to be that burning and shining light in the dark world.

The born again Christian is a participant in divinity. We are possessors of the Divine nature.

We don’t just pray and hope things change. There is a God part and the human part. We are participants in the Gospel and not just bystanders.

Our communication must effectively point others to who we believe in. Our participation in the Gospel must be operative and produce results for us.

The Christian should increase in intensity and in glory.

Therefore your participantion in Divinity should be operative and productive.

Prayer will never take the place of godliness. Both are relevant in the life of a Christian.

Prayer and Godliness shows faith in God.

In an earlier post on my Facebook page where I first posted this content, my friend Joseph Dilly commented thus: “Prayer without good character is akin to faith without work/deed. The scripture enjoins us to “pursue/follow peace with all men and godliness without which no man will see God“. In conclusion, he asked: “So, to whom will the person without godly character be praying?”

Prayer shows who you believe in, while Godly character points to whose child/follower or disciple you are.

The Apostle Peter stated in his epistle that by His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. There is really no excuses for exhibition of ungodliness.

Christians are disciples of Christ and have received the new nature fashioned after God.  That new nature influences godliness.  That is the defining factor.

People often pray for miracles to happen. But Christ-like living causes miracles to happen because it involves living daily in the supernatural.

When you add praying all manner of prayers and speaking in tongues to Godliness, you will experience miracles daily.

God is Spirit. And in His infinite wisdom, He chose to come into the realm of human existence through the God-Man Jesus Christ.

The precedent is already set.

Your blessings will come through human beings. You may argue that he sent ravens to feed Elijah in the wilderness. And I too posit the following:

  • You are not Elijah.
  • You have not exhibited extraordinary faith like Elijah.
  • You are not on the run from Jezebel;
  • And most importantly, Jesus Christ had not opened the way for humanity into the Holy of Holies in the days of Elijah.

The Son of Man has come and dominion has been restored to Man! God will use humans to bless you. You need to work on developing good relationships with fellow humans.

God works through relationships.

Unlike other religions of the world whereby people are seeking relationship with a god: Christianity is God seeking a relationship with you!

GOD desires fellowship with you. He wants to communicate and relate with you. Hence humans got created in His image and likeness.

My definition of Christianity is this:

Christianity is a relationship with God through a daily faith walk with Christ Jesus”.

Examples of how a good relationship/Godly characteristics release blessings:

  1. The Shunnamite woman:

The Shunnamite woman had everything. But she lacked the joy of parenting. Even though she was wealthy and well connected, she couldn’t buy a child even if she so desired

But favor became her portion through having a good relationship with Elisha, a man of God. She was respectful, hospitable and kind. Her Godly upbringing showed up. She displayed excellent character! Her Godliness placed a demand on the anointing and there was a release. Elisha the prophet spoke to her situation and her condition changed. She became a mother as prophesied.

Can you even imagine what would have happened if she had been impolite, aggressive, inhospitable and unkind? She would have attracted a curse. And she would then have had the displeasure of doing the circuit of  prayer requests and the seeking of  Deliverance ministrations.

She would have suffered greatly in going from one prayer house to the other and seeking seers/prophets for insight. And  they in turn,  would have recommended praying and fasting, binding and casting out of the demons which got activated by her bad character.

Sometimes, we unwittingly open doors for high powered demon activity against us.

Jesus Christ made a statement to His disciples, which we tend to overlook. He said:

“The Prince of the world is coming and he has nothing to use against me.”(John 14:30; Aramaic Bible in plain English)

There is ongoing spiritual warfare. The devil is going to and fro like a roaring lion seeking for whom to prey on.

Bad character releases a scent that attracts the devil and his hordes of evil spirit.

Bad character magnetizes evil. It is a potent weapon the forces of evil will use against erring Christians .

Bad character is counterproductive. It frustrates the grace of God, short-circuits the anointing that destroys yokes and hinders/terminates progress. You really don’t need to go there.

Some of us have insulted people that were divinely placed to help us.  And we may even not be on speaking terms with our destiny helpers because of some assumed slight.

Deal with your identity issues by finding your identity in Christ.

The Bible states in Philippians 2:7 that Christ Jesus;

“…made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men” (KJV)

Another translation says “He emptied Himself”. Can you even begin to imagine what that means? The King of glory Himself became nobody in order to make somebody of us humans.  So, what are you so full of?

Some of us are still suffering, not because we lack talents or do not pray enough: But because we lack good manners or Godly character.

Good talents may attract attention but bad character will negate it.

Even if you are talented, but have bad character traits, your talents will be unprofitable. Because no person wants to associate with a disrespectful, insensitive, egoistic and uncontrollable person no matter how talented he or she is..

Good character is required to sustain the attention talent attracts.

Bible tells us that “… evil communications corrupt good manners (1 Corinthians 15:33; Darby Translation). And we are not to “… befriend angry people or associate with hot-tempered people” (Proverbs 22:24; NLT)

There are Good things in you.   Let us hear about your love for all people and your faith in the Lord Jesus.

Christian living is a partnership with God in faith. And for it to be effective in your world, you have to deepen your understanding of every good thing.  And to share it also with others  for the sake of Christ.

God has high standards. And being Omniscient, He is aware that we cannot attain His standards without help.  Hence He gave us the Holy Spirit to come alongside and help us

But then, He also expects us to work at it: – to press to reach those goals like a runner strains to reach the finish line.

We are not to rest on our oars and say “God will do it” and keep blasting in tongues. But rather, we should work with the Holy Spirit as He is molding us into persons who are characterized by love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. (Galatians 5:22-23; NLT)

Self-control is a Godly virtue. At the head of it is love. Love for God and for others is a choice and a heart attitude. A person who loves will be kind, tolerant, humble and gracious.

Good character attracts favor.

  1.  Mary, the birth mother of Jesus Christ.

Although Mary was a Virgin, there were lots of virgins in Israel at that time. You can be sure they were busy praying and fasting and doing all other religious stuff to make them fit for God’s use.  But Mary’s Godly character traits singled her out for the favour of birthing the Saviour of the world!

God has high standards. He expects exemplary conduct from His children.

The goal of every Christian should be to become like Jesus Christ in worship, character and service.

As an act of worship, we are to offer our bodies daily “as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God” (Romans 12:1, 2; NLT)

We are also to no longer conform to the pattern of the world because we are no longer of this world. Our attitudes and behaviour should evidence the characteristics of God which the Holy Spirit is producing in us: known as the Fruit of the Spirit. They are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. (Galatians 5:22-23; NLT)

In humility, we should serve others, do good deeds and believe in God’s timing.

Reset your mind. Upgrade your attitude. Start by placing value on human beings. Be appreciative. Respect people. Put value on relationships. Do not despise people. Be courteous. Be kind. Be humble.

The only time you can look down on another person should be when you want to help them up.

I conclude this section with Paul’s prayer for Philemon:

I pray that your partnership with us in the faith may be effective in deepening your understanding of every good thing we share for the sake of Christ. (Philemon 6,NLT)

  1.  Naaman

Even though Naaman was a general, he had leprosy. GOD used his maid to point him to his healing miracle.

Although Naaman was a great man, he had great needs.

Who would have thought that his maid could proffer him solution? If he had allowed his pride get in the way, he would have died a leper. But he listened to the counsel of a mere servant girl. He did his part and the grace of God accomplished his healing.

The blessings of God come wrapped up, just like we package our gifts. Until the gift-package is carefully unwrapped, you won’t know what is inside the package. Likewise, the solutions of our problems come packaged.

God can use anyone or anything to help us. But without good character we might miss the solution because of its packaging.

As in the case of Naaman, humility and respect for the views of others yielded dividends.

4. Moses:

Moses faced a life threatening crisis. The Red Sea was before him, the wilderness, the angry and fearful people surrounded him and Pharaoh and his military might were right behind them in hot pursuit.

Moses cried out in prayer to God. But God was like –  ‘guy, why are you crying out to me, man up to the situation- do the needful. You got power right there in your hands, use it man! ‘

What did Moses do? He stretched out his hands over the Red Sea and God’s Omnipotence came into play. The Sea parted for the people to walk through.

As I said earlier, there is a God part and your part in solving a problem.

Faith in God must be accompanied by corresponding action.

In conclusion, I make bold to say: Prayer has its place. Prayer and faith-action are conjoined twins. Faith is seen by what is done in faith.

Development of Godly character has its place also. Work at it. Shine forth. Radiate God’s glory. Let people see that  good in you and be comforted and hopeful.

Let your participation in Divinity be productive for you.

Prayer cannot override godly character but rather it should enhance it.

Therefore, pray always. Then yield completely to the in-working of the Holy Spirit as He divinely controls and directs. Then press towards the goal by applying to your reality, the Biblical Principles He teaches you.

Only then can you  develop Christlikeness in worship, character and service to  attain the Divine Ideal.

Build good relationships with people.

Human beings are very relevant in God’s plan of salvation.

Learn to respect and appreciate people. Change your attitude. Show forth the praise of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light.

Let your character point people to God and not alienate them from God.

I need  to hear your own view point.

So what do you think? Can prayer override good character?

Post your comments below. Shalom.

Be Vigilant

When you are confronting overwhelming or oppressive situations: know that demons are influencing it in order to break down your resistance.

Refuse to be perplexed or confused.

Instead go on the offensive and engage the enemy in spiritual combat.

Stand on the Word of God to rebuke and to cast out the evil spirits influencing the situations.

Then superimpose what God’s Word says about that situation by affirmation

Do not be ignorant and thus give up or accept the status quo.

Faith in God is the victory!

Let’s Pray

ABBA thank You that the entrance of your Word gives understanding. I release into this atmosphere the anointing of God’s Spirit that brings power, love and soundness of mind.

Fear be gone.

Confusion be gone. Let there be peace, clarity and deliverance. Let godly order be restored in the matchless name, Jesus Christ.

Exhortation and Warfare Prayer

blessings on youFaith is the propelling force that keeps you going when things are crowding in on you. Have Faith in the God of the Bible. He will guide you continually. But you’ve got to know Him for yourself. Because there are so many wannabe gods being falsely presented as the Almighty God. Search the scriptures. Read your Bible for it is a revelation of the mind and will of God . The Gospel is only hidden to those who are perishing.

In searching for quick solutions, some compound the problem by dabbling into occultism disguised as Christianity. Do not complicate matters by wrongly seeking help from human agents of the devil. Test all spirits. If you are uneasy about it, trust that gut feeling, do not proceed any further.

Jesus Christ is the only and lasting solution for all of humanity’s troubles. He is the only name given by God for the salvation of humans. Jesus Christ is the only Living way. All other ways are dead end streets.

Do not follow the way that seems right: it leads to physical and spiritual death.

Realize and understand that God works through a process. Respect the process. Short cuts enable virulent demons.

There is nothing that you are going through that is peculiar to you. Christians globally are involved in spiritual warfare. We are all contending with the forces of evil who are trying to frustrate our faith.

Hold still.

Have faith in God. He knows your name: He created you for His glory: You will not be shamed. God will show up strong for you.

He hears your weary heart’s cry. Don’t believe the lie of the devil or your detractors who say God has forgotten you. Absolutely impossible!

A nursing mother may forget her suckling child, but God cannot forget you because you are engraved on the palm of His hand.

Speak peace to that battle raging in your mind. Stay focused on God. Never allow the devil plague you with doubts. A double minded person short-circuits answers to prayers.

The devil is a defeated foe. But he works through the force of persuasive arguments. He bombards the mind with auto suggestions.  Perish that thought. God sees your thoughts. Do not allow evil thoughts fester. They are a corrupting influence.

Counter all negative thoughts with the Word of God. Let the Word of God richly dwell in your heart by faith. Faith is the victory. Guide your heart with all diligence for it is the wellspring of your life. Your thoughts can make or mar your life.

Your tears are all bottled up. You are precious to God. None of those tears you have shed will go to waste. As you have cried, so shall your laughter resound, in Jesus Christ merciful name.

Prayer

  • I ask God to help and comfort you as a sign of HIS goodness: so that your enemies will see it and realize the futility of working against you
  • Today as God’s Oracle I speak peace from God to that raging storm in your life. Let the Finished work of the Cross manifest in your life condition and situation.
  • Be healed: that sickness is to leave you now. The diseases are to self-destruct at once: The symptoms are stopped in the name of Jesus Christ the Great Physician.
  • Be saved: Salvation comes to your household today. Every member of your household receives the goodness of God that leads to repentance. Your bloodline is forgiven and cleansed of all pollutants and corrupting influences. You will remain strong in the Lord and grow in faith and in grace. All evil spirits managing and ratifying the terms of ancestral covenants are to leave your bloodline now. All altars and strongholds are to self-destruct at once. Your faith in God will be a witness to your world in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
  • Be delivered: You and yours are hereby set free to excel, prosper, and increase, multiply and expand, and to be a voice and influencers in your generations, in the gracious name of Jesus Christ.
  • Be restored: All your misfortunes are hereby reversed to good fortune; the grace of God will abound to you. You are become a blessing to your world. Receive restoration to greater glory, in the powerful name of Jesus the Christ.

Be reconciled: Every enmity is stopped. The wall of division in your family should come down now. Let brotherly love manifest. You shall be there for each other. The prodigals are to come to themselves and to come back now. Fulfil destiny as ministers of reconciliation: in the matchless name of Jesus Christ I have prayed. Amein. – Hephzibah Christly

Overcoming Self-destructive Isolationism

And having dismissed the multitude, he went into a mountain alone to pray (Matthew 14:23)

Solitude and silence is a major theme in the Bible. It is necessary to withdraw from people in order to have undisturbed communion with God. But if you want your space just to avoid interacting with people because you have been hurt: you have a problem.

Isolation becomes destructive when you withdraw into yourself to avoid interacting with human beings. Demons would take over, depression and other mental health issues would pop up.

No person is an island. God created humans as social beings. We need each other. Dogs and cats have their place but they can never play the role other humans have in our lives.

Adam the first representative of the human race felt all alone even though he was surrounded by all the animals in the world.

In order to function adequately and effectively, humans need a counterpart to identify with mentally, physically, socially and psychologically. Animals don’t fit that bill.

Although Life’s activities and the demands of family and friends can become so overwhelming at times and could drive one to the point of insanity if not confronted; we do need each other.

Experience is a Bitter Teacher:

At one point in my life I desperately needed some space. I just had to be alone. My constant interactions with some very oppressive, controlling, intimidating, and manipulative people began to take its toll on my health. Their destructive criticisms and negative mindset were quietly draining my life. I was dying slowly inside.

My blood pressure took a hike and I became physically sick. I started having dizzy spells. I was filled with apprehension just at the sound of their voices. They had become resident evil.

Coping with them was emotionally exhausting. I had reached my breaking point.

If I wanted to live, I just had to re-evaluate my relationship with then.

It had become more glaring as the days turned into weeks and weeks into months that it was futile to reason with them. They were too set in their ways to change without Divine intervention.

Anything I said was used against me. Simple acts of kindness were misinterpreted. Their presence in my life was gradually reimaging me to reflect their attitude. It is true what the Bible says that “bad company corrupts good morals” (1st Corinthians 15:34)

These guys were full of pride, self-opinionated, bitter, envious, jealous, resentful and angry. They had no good word for or about any person. Their negativity was bother line witchcraft.

And rather unfortunately, in a bid to be compassionate, accommodating and understanding; I got sucked into their mess.

My blood pressure kept rising. My bad days became more than my good days. The more I prayed, the more the evil came out. And I began to resent them.

Not only did I suffer compassion fatigue, I had entered burn-out mode. I could no longer battle it alone. I sent out a prayer request on my Facebook page asking Brethren in Christ to stand with me in prayer. The battle was fierce. The enemy was becoming more devious.

My soul was wounded. My ego took a beating. Old scars were cut open. The pain was severe. I smelt death.

It took a supernatural Divine intervention to pull me back. I prayed and fasted, and sought God’s help. Then the burden got lifted and light shone.

In order to heal, I had to isolate myself. Things have to be put in perspective.

I needed more time in the closet to pray and do some soul searching. The whole scenario has to change. The areas of vulnerability have to be identified and strengthened.

It was a dark time for me. I had to deal with my negative emotions, process the hurts, the anger and all the various conflicting thoughts and emotions that had made me sick.

I sure needed time – out to pray and meditate on God’s Word.

My stress coping skills had maxed-out. My soul was wounded. I was hurting real bad.

Only God could heal my heart.

My mind was in turmoil, my feelings were becoming hardened; I was on the verge of collapse. I could veer to the right or to the left depending on my perspective because my will power was taut and ready to snap.

No one could understand what I was going through. I was just going through the motions of living. But I was very sick inside.

Any attempt at explaining me was met with stiff opposition. It was as if I lacked understanding of their personal challenges and was being selfish. And that further drove me to my default which is withdrawal.

Dear friends, family and readers, I join my plea with the person who wrote the following and say:

“Don’t give up on a family member or friend that is isolating themselves. It may look like they are being rude and cutting you out of their life, but truth is, there are many reasons why someone may do this. They may be depressed and can’t cope; they may need to isolate as an act of self-care; they may get scared that you won’t love them any more if you see their dark side, they may feel like nobody cares and think isolating is what they deserve. Whatever the reason, please reach out and let them know you care” -MPL (mental health and invisible illness Resources)

It hurt so much when some other family members misunderstood what was happening with me and launched a campaign against my Christian values. I was accused of being selfish, unloving and full of anger. They became prosecutor, judge and jury.

That didn’t help one bit.

I had a friend I thought I could relate with. But when I tried ventilating, rather unfortunately religion was thrown at me I became anathema. Good riddance to bad rubbish I thought; because anyways, I just wanted some peace and quiet. One person less really did not matter because I was already sinking into the pit of despair. Depression was taking over fast!

I had to set my phones to reject calls and block off some people who are prone to be insensitive with their words.

But guess what? Do you know those who helped?

There were the ones who reached out in love and showed they cared. They empathised. Without judging or taking sides; they extended their right hand of fellowship to me.

They found a way to reach me even though my phones were set to reject calls. They kept calling until I had to answer. In fact two people in particular called at least twice a day to check on me.

There was the one who came with his pregnant wife and little daughter – Mildred to my gate: And even though I was not receiving visitors, I had to open up to visit with them. I could not resist the sound of the little child calling out “Granma, am here, open your gate, I want to see you”

Those were the ones who pulled me out of the pit of despair I had falling into. As well as those who prayed and reached me inbox. They sent messages of encouragement without even knowing what I was up against.

And my greatest comfort of all is the Holy Spirit. He kept affirming, guiding and praying through my spirit. I’m so grateful.

Don’t be too quick to misunderstand and judge people.

You do not understand the internal battles they are fighting. It is not about you. Give people a break. Consider too that others are also working out their salvation with fear and trembling.

Love covers a multitude of sins. It’s a new season. Reach out in love and empathy. Your caring action could save a life.

Do you need your Space?

Your experience may not be as extreme as mine. Or it could worse. You may have just suffered the loss of a loved one and just want to be alone or you just want to spend some quality time with Go and do some soul searching. Great!

But you can’t be there for long.

Humans are social creatures. That’s how God programed us to be. An idle mind is the devil workshop as the saying goes. Don’t let the devil take advantage of your hurts to further fill your mind with destructive thoughts.

The more you wallow in self-pity, are unforgiving and resentful; the more bitterness will corrode your inner man, erode your confidence and corrupt your Being.

You have to make effort. Ask God to help you. Ask for prayers from other Christians. It does not mean you are less spiritual. Christianity is a together faith. We need each other

Open up the doors you shut. Let those who love you make contact.
There is an African proverbs which says “if you shut your eyes to avoid bad people, you won’t be able to see the good people when they comes”

We cannot stop taking transportation just because of high accident rates. We cannot cut of our nose to spite our face.

Enough of the human philosophy already!

Let’s consider the coexistence of evil and good from a Biblical perspective:

The Parable of the Weeds is about a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was asleep, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and slipped away. In due season, both wheat and weeds sprouted. It was quite a disturbing spectacle for those who saw it. With good intentions, they approached the owner of the field, desiring answers and directions.

He confronted them with the reality that there are enemies of progress. He said to them: “an enemy did this(Matthew 13:28).

He further explained to them that it was necessary for evil and good to coexist for a while because: ‘if you pull the weeds now, you might uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest At the proper time I will tell the harvesters, “First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat into my barn.” (Matthew 13: 29, 30)

God in His infinite wisdom put a plan to save humanity in place. He knew that the devil would always seek for ways to keep humans in bondage to sin, suffering, shame and sickness.

He came in human form as Jesus Christ in order to identify with our humanity and to save of from satan, the destroyer.

As Jesus Christ, God paid the price for sin, made forgiveness of sins available; took away our suffering, shame and sicknesses: He opened up a way into intimacy with God, gave us the Holy Spirit to stand with us in His place and distributed gifts to us.

Study Romans 12, 1st Corinthians 12 and Ephesians 4: for a catalogue of some of the gifts God has given His people, the Church.

In his grace, God has given us in the Body of Christ different gifts for doing certain things well. He gave some the ability to prophesy; to serve; to teach; to encourage; to lead and to show kindness. (Romans 12:6-8) These are serious responsibilities that should be gladly done and graciously received.

No person is sufficient in him/herself. At various stages in our Christian walk and life’s journey, we need those with those gifts to minister to us. Denying them the opportunity would be tantamount to frustrating the grace of God in us.

For every bad person, there are two-thirds of good people. I know so because even though one-third of the angelic force rebelled against God, two-thirds still remained loyal. It is safe to posit that the good people are more than the bad.

I won’t be undermining your challenge with my next statement. We cannot shut people out because of some bad experiences. You need to make effort to open the doors you have shut. To shut people out is to shut you in. Your painful experiences should not be allowed to make you negative. It should bring out the best in you.

Solitude in Marriage:

I am aware that there are certain marriages where the couples have become roommates. For religious and financial reasons, they cannot afford divorce. They live together. That is about all they have in common. They do not communicate in whatsoever manner with each other. They avoid each other like the plague.

How did things get this bad, you may wonder?

They processed their hurts in a negative manner. Like me, their default is ‘withdraw’. Each have withdrawn into his/her comfort zone and isolated the other. The atmosphere in such a home would be thick with anger, suspicion, resentment, hatred and other evils. That is a very good environment for evil to thrive. One or both partners would be suffering from a psycho-somatic disorder. The devil has taken advantage of their unforgiveness.

The principle of seeking solitude for a short period, for the purpose of sober reflection and prayers is also applicable in a marriage relationship. In 1st Corinthians 7:5; the Apostle wrote:

“Do not deprive one another, except by mutual consent for a limited time, so you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again, so that Satan will not tempt you through your lack of self-control”.

If you need to process your pains or to pray in private, for your own sake, let it be for a short time. Seek for reconciliation before you become the victim of satanic attacks.

LET US PRAY:

  • Thank God for what you have just read and for His love in making this writing available to you.
  • Spend some time in praying in the Holy Spirit. Let God fill you with His presence.
  • From deep within, let all the pains flow out. Ask for more grace to enable you confront your issues with people.
  • Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you in this prayer to pray God’s will and to do it also.
  • As the Holy Spirit convicts you of sins, just acknowledge them and ask forgiveness. No need to make excuses or justify your actions. God made this declaration in His Word which says: “I will look favorably on this kind of person: one who is humble, submissive in spirit, and trembles at My word.” (Isaiah 66:2; Holman Christian Standard Bible)
  • Receive forgiveness and cleansing. Let all the bitterness, regrets and feelings of inadequacy go.
  • Thank God for the speaking blood of Jesus Christ that is speaking better things such as righteousness, restoration, healing, etc. for you.
  • Declare you have on the breastplate of righteousness and thus cannot harbour anger, bitterness, vindictiveness, bitterness and all other related evils in your mind.
  • Affirm that you have the mind of Christ having been delivered from the kingdom of darkness and now resident in the Kingdom of light.
  • Proclaim that God’s Word is richly dwelling in you and your light shines and darkness cannot comprehend it.
  • Declare that the devil finds no counterpart of evil in you therefore all projections of evil, blameshifting, destructive criticisms, mind control, mind binding, manipulation and control tactics are voided by the breastplate of righteousness.
  • Call out all the symptoms and negative feelings you have been having including all the ones mentioned above: command them to leave you at once, as well and all others connected and related to them.
  • For this cause Christ came to destroy the works of the devil: Affirm that all the works of the devil are destroyed.
  • Proclaim your liberty. The Master has set you free and you are free indeed.
  • Place your hands upon your head and speak blessings over you. For every negatives you removed, replace with good. When you bind and evict evil, you must loose and plant blessings.

Boldly Declare:

I am filled with unconditional love; my soul is flooded with peace, joy and righteousness; my hope is restored; my spirit, soul and body is healed. I am a blessing to my world. I have the mind of Christ and see things from a divine perspective. I am quick to hear, slow to speak and slow in getting angry. Shalom!

HOLIDAY TRAUMA TURNED TESTIMONY

rejected-as-i-look-backMy Personal Testimony:                                                                          Dear Reader, you may be alone, hungry, homeless and feeling quite lonely. Or perhaps you have recently suffered loss; and this season is making it all seem so much more unbearable. Please calm down, let my story give you hope.

Let me first reassure you that you are not alone. GOD is always with you. Know also that I am standing with you in prayers.

I understand where you are at and what you must be feeling. I have been there also.

The Reality:

On December 25, 2001, I was alone, hungry, sick, lonely and feeling depressed in my ‘new-home’.

That ‘new home’ happened to be an abandoned ‘public toilet’, which was located at what later became a mission-field.

On that fateful day, everywhere was quiet. Family and friends had no idea where I was! I had been forcefully evicted from my last housing because residents in the estates had objected to our doing ministry there.

Their objection was noise pollution and fear of the unknown.

I had my counselling office and the ministry center in a section of the house. The ministry specialized in healing and deliverance. People brought those who had addiction issues and spiritual problems to us.

And whenever sessions are ongoing, the demons often cried out as they get evicted. The sounds that came out were scary for my neighbors and they lodged a complaint.

I tried to relocate elsewhere, but could not because of financial constraints.

As a love and faith-based ministry, we could not lay any financial burdens on the people. Love constrained us and we could not fleece the sheep.

We lived by faith on God’s grace and the goodwill of those who gave back to us.

Until eventually, we were forcefully evicted, my team dispersed and I ended up in “Baba Shade’s Easy Life Public Toilet”; on December 22nd 2001.

Prior to that, I had gone into a wrong union on January 6th.

And within three months, I was abandoned for my associate and became single again. Getting into that relationship was one of the worst mistakes of my life as a Christian leader.

And then the eviction came.

I was in disgrace and in deep shame.

It was as if God had failed me.

I felt rejected, betrayed, unloved and unwanted. And the worst was I felt I deserved all the bad things happening to me.

Burdened with a guilt-complex from the facts that I had made so many mistakes in the past; I was too ashamed to even seek help from family or from beneficiaries of past good-deeds.

If the truth be told, I was just tired of me. If I was suicidal, that was a good time. But thanks be to God, I still had a zest for life.

Because I did not want anyone throwing my past at me,  I chose to stand alone with God on this. Besides I did not want to freeload on any one.

I was all alone in my misery until GOD made room for me in that abandoned public toilet.

For bed, I had old cartons.

My companions were my Bibles, concordances and counselling books. I had no computer or phones. Neither did I have drinkable water or food. And of course I had no money!

That was the state of my life, that Christmas day over a decade ago.

In the deafening silence of that morning, I lifted up my voice in teary worship to GOD as I sat on the cold bare floor. And It was during the Harmattan season.

As I worshipped GOD in my misery, I thought of my kids who had been dispersed. I wondered if they would ever understand enough to forgive me for all my mistakes that had unsettled and made them homeless.

Some of my kids were squatting with friends, while others lived with hostile relatives/step moms.

It was a bad time for us.

We were in both physical and emotional torment. And my spiritual self-esteem had nose-dived.

It was as if GOD had forgotten to be merciful.

I worshipped and lamented: I lamented and worshipped until my tears dried up. Weary from hunger and thirst, I fell asleep!! Sleep??? Imagine that!

As scripture says, God gives sleep to His beloved. Since am still His beloved, He gave me sleep.

The Divine Visitation:god-brought-you-this-far

Anyways, as the sun was setting while yet drowsy from sleep, I heard voices outside the gate. While a voice was insisting someone was living in there: the other voices were saying to her that the place was an abandoned public toilet, and it was not possible anyone could be living there.

Apparently she forced her way in. As I sat up, I looked into the eyes of a daughter in Christ, Pastor Sylvia Wilcox!!!

How did she know where I was???

This is the story she narrated story to me.

After apologizing for coming later than she should have if she had obeyed the voice of the Spirit, she told how earlier in the day, she heard in her spirit that she should prepare food very quickly to take to me, because I needed food.

According to her, she was at first puzzled and thought maybe she had not heard correctly what the Holy Spirit had whispered to her. She just could not imagine how I could be needing food. So she waved it aside.  Because the last time she visited, she saw I was doing well and in a decent home. So she ignored the voice and went about preparing food for her family.

She was about to eat when she heard ABBA say to her again: “you are about to feast whereas your mom, my daughter, has been without food these past three days; get up and take her some food“.

This time, there was no atom of doubt in her heart Who was talking to her. She screamed and left off eating at once. She then explained to her mom and siblings what had transpired.

Through DIVINE directions, she was able to locate me that day in a place she had never been before.

She came to me with more than enough food, and left me with some money to tide me over for some days.

The unquestionable faithfulness of Godfaith-mustard-seed-all-the-faith-u-need

Having read the above story, can you now understand why I can boldly say GOD has not forgotten you???

Be encouraged my dear friend. Your light affliction is a necessary evil that will produce a glorious future for you; and for so many others through you.

From that “Easylife Public Toilet” which was owned and managed by Baba Shade of Morogbo; souls were won to God’s Kingdom. I started a Bible school which offered free courses to pioneering pastors and Itinerant evangelists.

Apart from the theological training center, we opened up a counseling clinic; planted the Love Ablaze Church; gave shelter to numerous homeless and distressed single-moms with their children. We also started a residential therapy center as well for victims of abuses and drug addictions.

Words fail me today as I look back and praise GOD.

We later renamed the public toilet: “CHRIST HIGH COMMISSION” for it became our Missionary headquarters. It was a very humble beginning indeed.

But who but God can bring out the best out of a very bad situation?

At that time, the owner of the public toilet had abandoned it because the sewage system was faulty. It stank! But that was better than sleeping in the streets. One of my counselees had paid a little fee for access to the place and that was what I inherited. Her name is Ann and she was a new convert and  was not aware of my issues.

From that humble beginning, we were favored by the community leader with land where we have developed some buildings for our missionary work.

I lived in that ‘EasyLife Public Toilet” for seven years until we were able to erect a mission-house which we moved into.

The things that exist came out of things that are unseen!

God rolled away the reproaches of my life from that place. He gave me a new beginning.

We confronted occult opposition and were targeted by priests of African Traditional Religions, but we kept the light of the Gospel burning.

We built-up a formidable spiritual warfare prayer team from the abused women and homeless youths, who sought refuge with us.

And our Nightly Intercessory prayers terrorized and uprooted the established forces of evil in that community.

We transformed the environment and destroyed ancestral occult strongholds and set their captives free. Lives got transformed and destinies changed

God is not partial He will visit you also:restoration-god

This is a real life testimony of how GOD made something out of nothing.

Know you therefore that GOD does convert shame to fame and disgrace to great grace.

Be comforted my friend.

GOD will visit you as he did visit me and mine.

My kids are restored, stabilized, prospering and enjoying GOD’s supernatural favors and covenantal love.

I lost everything so that I might gain everything in HIM.

Today, am representing GOD’s love to a hurting world and adding value to people’s lives.  I am blessed to be a blessing.

Your change is come, in CHRIST name.

Reevaluate your circumstances and change your perspective. God is not finished with you yet. You may be down but you are definitely not out. You may be depressed but not deceased. When there is life, there is hope.

Refocus on God.  Hard roads lead to beautiful destinations. Change your focus to change your course.

The devil fought our fledgling ministry to the oppressed. He thought he had shut it down.

But today, through our various internet ministries, especially through ‘Spiritual Warfare And Tactics Squad-SWATS’ we are healing those who are oppressed of the devil and enforcing the victory of the Cross.

You will not be silenced, in Christ matchless name.

There is no limit to how far you can go when you go with God.

You are not the depressed: you are the blessed.  Rejoice for it is well with you.  God bless you and yours

From The PrayerPoint

Prayerfully Transitioning the New Season

change-is-come-now

Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”(Isaiah 43:19; ESV) It is God who changes the times and seasons. Seasons are part of the circles of life. We require wisdom from God and knowledge of His word to transit the various seasons.

Transitions are times of change

At the end of every quarter and year ending, it is necessary to engage in intense spiritual exercises in order to transit each season appropriately.

Such spiritual exercises should include: Fasting, Prayers and Meditation on God’s Word.

  1. Fasting is necessary so that your spiritual interactions can increase. And it involves the giving up of certain luxuries such as food, drinks, TV and unnecessary social activities. So that you can spend more time in prayer, Bible Study and meditation God’s Word. Fasting helps to increase our spiritual sensitivity.

In Isaiah 58, God gives guidelines of the fast that He approves. It follows therefore, that Fasting should be the lifestyle of Christians. We should daily be involved in doing good deeds to others as fasting off food, drinks and luxuries.

  1. Prayer is the daily business of all God’s children. It is the acceptable means of communication between our spirit and God who is Spirit.

All prayers are to God in the name of Jesus Christ. Although Christ assures that He “…will do whatever you ask in my name”. (John 14:14), some prayers go unanswered.

However, we cannot blame God for unanswered prayers. God is fully committed to bring to pass all His promises. His faithfulness cannot be disputed.

Daniel embarked on a fast in the season of transition. He prayed and persisted in prayers until he received answers. But he experienced some delays even though God had responded swiftly to his prayers. The adversary has intercepted it. (Daniel 10:13)

Hindrances to Prayers:

Satanic Interference:

  • You must realize that there is an adversary who interferes with prayers (1Peter 5:7, 8), and quit blaming God.
  • The devil seeks to frustrate our prayers by intercepting answers. Like Daniel, we should ‘Pray Until Something Happens’ (P.U.S.H)
  • In order to overcome the adversary, we must be watchful, remain steadfast in faith and in prayers.

Inability to recognize the answers to prayers:

  • It is very important to recognize the times and seasons that we are in. The Promised Messiah came but rather unfortunately, the Israelites missed out. They were expecting a military leader and not a humble Fisherman. That myopic spiritual outlook hindered them from recognizing the answer
  • to their prayers.
  • We must therefore understand the times and seasons that we are in, for it is God who changes the times and seasons.

Fixation:

  • Do not fixate on how it must happen.

When Christ wept over Jerusalem he said: If only you know the way that makes for your peace’. In the promise of the Messiah, God’s timetable involved a Savior to deliver humanity from satan, sin, sickness, suffering etc., through repentance. But the Israelites were expecting military intervention that would rescue them from Roman oppression. And thus they missed out on the answer to their prayer.

Fixation on our peculiar expectations hinders prayer. Instead, we should be flexible and receptive of new revelations.

  • Learn how not to focus energy on what is not profitable and then miss out on answered prayers.
  • When you consistently see ‘what makes for the peace of God’ in every situation, losses, pains, disappointments and regrets will be minimal.

I’ll Timed Expression of Anger

The story of Michal in 2nd Samuel 6:14-16, 21; illustrates the down side of I’ll timed or I’ll advised expressions of anger. Michal was the love of David’s life. She was a good woman and an excellent wife. She was an extraordinary woman. Very dignified, for she was the daughter of Saul the king. But she had no child.

But alas, she did not recognize the time of her visitation.

After King David was done worshipping God in a street dance, he went with the power of the Spirit to bless his dear wife. But instead of being receptive, she vented her anger and frustration at him. She did not recognize the time of her visitation. She allowed anger to rub her of the opportunity to be blessed. And she died childless.

We should be sensitive to the moves of God’s Spirit and never allow shortcomings in our personalities to short-circuit God’s power flow to us. Michal’s story is very sad, but most of us have lost out on many opportunities to be blessed, just like her.

From the points raised on how prayers can be hindered, we should therefore never resort to blaming God when our answers to our prayers are seemingly not forthcoming.

Instead, we should pray more like Daniel did until GOD revisits our case.

Importunity is very necessary in prayers

Importunity means to ask shamelessly. The story of the woman illustrated in Luke 11, teaches the fine points of importunity which are Ask, Seek, Knock

In concluding this section on prayer, I say to you;

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.…” Luke 11:9

  1. Meditation on God’s Word

This happens to be the last on the list of ‘spiritual exercises’ we should understand and utilize as we are transitioning into our new season of change.

Meditation is one of the spiritual exercises you should do daily in order to live a life of dominion and glory. And it is very vital to both your spiritual and physical wellbeing.

In Joshua 1:8, the Bible says:

This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success” (WEB)

From the verse of scripture above, “meditation” is translated from the Hebrew “hagar” which means to “imagine; mutter”, and to “roar”.

This points us to 3 Levels of Meditation which are as follows:

  1. Visualize (See)

You have to visualize God’s Word as you study it. This means that you have to ponder or think quietly on God’s Word in pictures. As these pictures are imprinted in your mind, the Word will be driven into your spirit and will stay rooted there.

  1. Mutter (Speak)

To mutter is to speak God’s Word under your breath, to yourself, repeatedly. The more you repeat scriptures, the more personal God’s Word becomes to you.

It will transcend the faculties of your soul (which are your will, intellect and emotion) and reside in the faculties of your spirit (which are- conscience, communion and intuition), making God’s Word his message to you personally.

  1. Roar (Shout)

In the book of Isaiah, the Bible states:

For thus has the LORD spoken unto me, Like the lion and the young lion roaring over his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor disturbed by the noise of them” (Isaiah 31:4)

In the above scripture verse, the word translated ‘roaring’ is the same Hebrew word “hagar”.

When we “roar” in meditation, we drown out all the other thoughts in our consciousness: Including those enticing words of human wisdom that the devil assails our minds with. Thus, ‘roaring’ in meditation superimposes God’s Word over our thoughts.

People may consider you insane when you begin to shout God’s Word to yourself like that!

That notwithstanding, continue to meditate by “roaring”! “…for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success” (Joshua 1:8; WEB)

Power and Benefits of Meditation:

Engrafts:

Meditation takes God’s Word from our intellect and engrafts it into our spirit.

Intellect/Mind is the seat of learning, the instrument of our thoughts. It is that aspect of the soul that allows for rational thinking.

In it lies the seat of acquired knowledge, human wisdom and reasoning also.

When God’s Word is in our minds, we are still able to rationalize it: but when it gets into the spirit, it becomes real and personal, an aspect of our being.

Even though the Word you have read may not have any scientific explanation, there is a knowing in the inside of you that it is reality. And nothing can take that ‘knowing’ from you.

Personalizes/Customizes:

In the Word of God, there is ‘rhema’ (which is the ‘spoken’ and ‘personalized’, Word) and ‘logos’ (which is the ‘written’ and ‘general’ Word)

Rhema is the spoken Word of God. It is the “now” Word of God for your situation and it comes often when meditating on the written Word, which is “Logos”. It won’t matter whether the ‘logos’ is about Zephaniah, Israel, or some Bible history or character. It comes alive for you. It becomes your personal word from God!

Rhema” makes the Bible come alive for you. By ‘rhema’ we insight, clarity, direction and sure promises from God’s Word on issues we are praying about. It brings God’s Word home to your reality.

Although Logos has the ability to produce results in you as well deliver an inheritance to you, but, you cannot your inheritance by it.

Whereas rhema would create the necessary changes in you so you can enjoy the inheritance. With rhema, there is no condition in your life or body that cannot be changed.

A ‘rhema’ from God’s Word changes everything for you!

And lastly, by Meditating on God’s Word, we would metamorphose into the living word of God. As we meditate consistently on God’s Word, we will begin to think, talk, and act like God. Your whole life will become a reflection of the Word: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”(John 1:1)

ELEMENTS OF TRANSITION

As we engage in the aforementioned spiritual exercises to facilitate the transition to a new season, we should also be cognizant of the following:

  • Do not Resist Change

God’s greatest challenge with humanity is resistance to change

Understand that although God is unchanging, it is Him who changes the times and seasons. The Bible says: “He takes away the first in order to establish the second” (Hebrew 10:9).

Flow with God’s moves. Be yielded. Respect the process.

God’s Word says in 1 Peter 5:10 that “…after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore you, secure you, strengthen you, and establish you.” (BSB)

Do not be allergic to change.

  • Repentance and Renewal

God is longsuffering. He puts up with certain things, waiting for repentance and renewal. He won’t pour new wine in an old wineskin.

Review your past and present in order to discover a trend. Then repent and renew your mind. You have to re-engineer yourself.

A changed mindset facilitates transition.

The lack of repentance can delay transition.

Daniel’s prayer of Identification-Repentance facilitated the expected change.

He identified the sins that provoked the exile, and repented of them, for and on behalf of his people. (Study Daniel chapter 9)

Be dissatisfied with the status quo. The glory of the latter house always exceeds the former. Desire the change. Put to use the power of a strong desire.

You cannot give up on your destiny.

Your tomorrow must be better than your yesterday

Know that God can cut short the days of affliction for you. Anything is possible when you believe.

  • Bear appropriate Fruits for each season”

The Bible says: “…delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season (Psalm 1:2, 3).

Meditating on God’s Word plays very important roles in enabling us bear the appropriate fruit each season.

Be sensitive in the Spirit to know the direction God wants you to go.

Paul the Apostle was prevented by the Holy Spirit at a particular time from preaching in a region of Asia. Am sure he felt bad about it. But that night he had a vision: “A man from Macedonia in northern Greece was standing there, pleading with him, “Come over to Macedonia and help us!” (Read about it in Acts 16) He perceived in the spirit that God was leading him to that region, and he obeyed.

Know the will of God for your new season.

If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land.

  • Sever attachments to the Past

Bible says: “The righteous keep moving forward and those with clean hands become stronger and stronger”. (Job 17:9)

Emotionally disconnect from the past- the hurts, accusations, deceits, abuses, etc. Resist the pull towards anger, bitterness and all other self-defeating internal monologues.

Be committed to the future.

Remember Lot’s wife.

She died while looking back to a bad past.

  • Be Mentored by God’s Word

People fail when they do not listen to Godly counsel from God’s anointed servants.

But be wary of Mentors who do not connect their words to an experience in their life which testifies to the ‘Word” they are sharing with you.

Run with your own inspiration.

Refuse to allow a jealous and misinformed mentor ‘make you subject against the will in expectation’.

Summary

Change is to be desired and not resisted.

Prayerfully facilitate the transition to a new season.

When revelation occurs, walk in that revelation. Have it imprinted in your heart. Affirm and proclaim it repeatedly.

The new thing God is doing in your life ‘will spring forth’ if you are not allergic to change.

Review the past in order to identify, repent and realign to God’s will.

Remember Lot’s wife.

Disconnect from the past. Stay focused of the future.

Anyone who puts his/her hands of the plow and looks back is not fir for the future.

The following chapters shall focus on Prayers and Scriptures that will facilitate the transition to our new season.

Stay prayed up.

From The PrayerPoint

wisdom-and-understanding

Prayer for Insight and Understanding:   Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding” (Proverbs 2: 3; NLT).The prayer points are in sections, and easy to flow with.                    Section 1 “Cry out for insight” : Insight is “(the ability to have) a clear, deep, and sometimes sudden understanding of a complicated problem or situation” (Cambridge English Dictionary).      Cry out for a divine re-imaging: the grace to see and act from a Divine perspective.

  • Pray God to imprint the image of your expectations in your heart.
  • Cry out against all attempts to complicate and cause our lives to be problematic. The forces of evil that have been clouding our minds and filling our thoughts with negatives should leave now.
  • Affirm that we have the mind of Christ and are focused to doing God’s perfect will.
  • Affirm that the era of error has ended in our lives for we have been imparted with the wisdom of GOD.
  • Declare we will not enter a new season carrying negative burdens. We zone out negative influences and anything that is inconsistent with or contradicts God’s Word.
  • We receive insight into God’s plans and programs for the upcoming seasons of our lives. We affirm that we are sensitive to the moves of God’s Spirit.
  • Proclaim that by the enabling grace of the indwelling Holy Spirit, we frustrate every attempt to ensnare, confuse and destabilize us through our senses.

Section 2 “Ask for Understanding”

Understanding is Perception. It is the ability to comprehend.

The sons of Issachar had understanding of the times. They knew what they had to do. And all Israel came to them for directions. (See 1 Chronicles 12:32).

Understanding gives you the advantage over peers.

  • Ask for the grace to be receptive and flexible, and not fixate on how it must happen. Because, fixating on our peculiar expectation hinders prayer.
  • Pray for the ability to not focus energy on what is not profitable and then lose out on God’s promises.
  • Disassociate yourself from ill-advised and ill-timed expression of anger. Do not be like Michal, David’s beloved wife who did not recognize the time of her visitation. David came to bless her but she allowed her frustrations and anger rub her of the opportunity to be blessed (Read 2 Samuel 6:14-16, 20). And she died childless.
  • Like the sons of Issachar, you have understanding of the times, in Christ name.

Section 3: Utilizing Understanding

He changes times and seasons” (Daniel 2:21; ESV).

Seasons are part of life’s circle. We need insight and knowledge from God’s Word for us to transition the various seasons appropriately. Like Daniel and Christ Jesus did, it is appropriate embark on a fast during the season of transition.

  • Ask for more grace in order to utilize the understanding of our season of change.
  • Affirm that as the righteous we keep moving forward, and have severed the attachment to the past.
  • We disconnect emotionally from past failures, abusers, rejections, trauma, properties, relationships and every other thing that causes stagnation.
  • We resist the pull to the past. We declare that we are committed to the future.
  • Ask for the release of the supernatural understanding that will establish you as praise upon the earth: Scripture says that; “By wisdom a house is built, And by understanding it is established” (Proverbs 24:3).
  • Ask for divine inspiration so that you will not be ‘made subject’ against the will of expectation. (Read Romans 8:18-26).
  • Pray that your desire to be mentored will not subjugate you to persons against God’s plan for your life.
  • Ask for more enabling grace to make you understand the direction your life should go, and the grace with which to walk accordingly.
  • Pray to receive great ideas that would release favor into your businesses, relationships, vocation and ministries
  • Ask God to use you mightily to showcase His glory in accordance with 1 Peter 2: 9 which states that you have been chosen to proclaim the excellences of Him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
  • Ask that the Spirit of the LORD, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and strength, the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD rest fully on you (Isaiah 11:2).
  • Ask for more grace in order to flow with the intuitive insights GOD is releasing to you.

Pray in tongues and worship God some more. Be thankful for the prayer points you have received. Shalom! Shalom! Have a great new season, in Christ glorious name.

Break SoulTies/Curses From Sexual Sins

Break SoulTies/Curses From Sexual Sins

sexual-sin-run-from-it

Run from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body.” (1 Corinthians 6:18; NLT)

As I was pondering how best to approach this subject, this post came up on my Facebook Newsfeed. “LADIES be careful of the Men you let into your heart and enter your body. Sex is not only a physical exchange– it is also a spiritual exchange. Sex is powerful and a direct pathway into your temple. Some of you can’t get over that low life of a man because the demons he carries within him still torment you spiritually.

You KNOW in your gut that even though he looks attractive…something about him ain’t right. Yet, something still keeps luring you to him. Your mind and body wrestle back and forth with spiritual principalities and “sexual soul ties.” Sexual soul ties BIND you to that man, men his type and the dark spirits that follow him. Some women often wonder why the SAME type of dude always pursues them…

Why they ATTRACT the same type of guy after they got rid of the scum bag that plagued their lives. It’s that FAMILIAR Spirit he left with You!!! BE CAREFUL who you open yourself up to receive in your bed…Don’t be Laid Up!” (By Kaliburius S. Bigelow)

People perish because they lack knowledge. However, through knowledge shall the just be delivered. (See Hosea 4:6; Proverbs 11:9)

In order to point people to the damming effect of the bond created through sexual intercourse, the Apostle Paul asked: “Don’t you know that anyone who is joined to someone who is sleeping around is one body with that person? The scripture says, The two will become one flesh.” (1 Corinthians 6:16; CEB).

Sexual Intercourse bonds you to whoever or whatever you have sex with: whether humans, animals or evil spirits (See Genesis 6:4) God through His Word to us His creation, prohibits same-sex intercourse as well as sex with animals, and other acts of pervasion. For it introduces defilement to our humanity, which leads to ultimate rejection by God. (See Leviticus 18:22-30; Romans 1:21-28)

The Sex bonds:

Sex acts as a spiritual sealant-it join sexual partners as securely as adhesive, heat, or pressure by chemical bonds. Because of the resultant bonding that occurs through sexual intimacy, GOD in His infinite love for Humanity confined sex to marriage. (Genesis 1:28)

Do you wonder why some married couples blend physically and look like siblings? It is because, through sexual activity, they deposit a part of them in each other’s –two becomes one flesh’. (See 1Corinthians 1:16)

Clearly, ‘every Human or animal you have sexual intercourse with Deposits Something in You’.

It is rather unfortunate, that most of us haven’t been properly educated about the downside of sinful sexual relationships. In some cultures and religions, it’s almost a taboo to discuss these things outside of private matters.

Over the centuries, such silences and taboos have caused Humanity so much pain. Because generations following are not taught Godly values, they are clueless of the dangers created by sexual behaviors that are particularly considered abnormal, repulsive and obsessive.

I heard recently on the news of how the DNA of a sexual partner can be isolated even after 6 years. (I wish I had listened well).

Even scientists are discovering proofs to show how powerful sexual intercourse is.

Sexual intercourse spearheads fertilization and creates life! Sexual intercourse is beyond physical experience. It forges a deep bond in the spirit as well the energy exchange, and the deep cellular interaction one experiences with their partner.

Our sexual urges are ingrained, but God expects us to exercise self-control and not give in to those urges in an unreasonable or unacceptable ways.

Hence His Word says ít is better to marry than to burn with passion. (See 1Corinthians 7:9) When people decide to have multiple sexual partners, in order to satisfy the cravings of the sinful human nature; it sends mixed emotional signals inside of the body’s vibration system, causing confusion.

If you read my book series Demons Deactivated1 you will get to understand why it is absolutely important that you cut yourself loose from the depravity that is in the world.

We should be careful and exercise self-control. So that we can shut out different energies or spiritual forces that tries to pollute our temple.

Or don’t you know that as a Christian, your body is GOD’s temple and thus must be kept holy?

You need to be aware also that imprints from multiple partners often create a conducive environment for acute demonization. Resulting in addiction to sex or an insatiable sexual appetite.

Ever wonder why it is known as sexual intercourse (INTER-Course)?

It is because it’s an internal course that unites man and woman, mind with mind, spirit with spirit, or energy with energy. And it is something that a condom can’t protect you from. Because, energy is behind the elements of all flesh.

There is no such thing as “casual” sex or “friends with benefits”.

Intimate activity intricately entwines the energies between two people.

Sex creates a powerful exchange of sexual energy between those involved.

These connections, imprints and debris are left upon the mind, soul and spirit, for a long time. Because they are not easily purged or cleansed.

The best option is to flee sexual sins.

amazing-things-happen

Guys, Zip up your pants.

Ladies, keep your legs closed.

God ordained sexual intercourse for married couples.

It is better to marry than to burn with passion. The desire to have sex is legitimate. But sex outside of marriage is illegitimate with many woes. It’s really not worth the stress to have a few seconds of pleasure and a lifetime of regrets.

Therefore, if you desire to marry, ask God for a wife or husband.

Let us now go ahead and confront the issues raised, through spiritual warfare.
