Selfless Love
Scripture Base:
1). Romans 5:8 (KJV)
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
2). 1 John 4:17 (KJV)
“…because as he is, so are we in this world.”
God’s love is not reactive: it is initiating, sacrificial, and unconditional.
He did not wait for us to be worthy, healed, perfect, or aligned. He loved us first.
That love reached us at our worst and now calls us to live differently – to represent that kind of love to others.
Selfless love is the evidence of spiritual maturity.
It is loving without applause, forgiving without conditions, and giving without keeping score.
Today, we allow God to perfect His love in us, so it may flow through us to others – for as He is so are we in this world.
Let us pray. 🙏🏽
#PrayerPoints4Today
- Thanksgiving
Thank God for loving you when you were undeserving, weary, and broken.
- Repentance and Accountability.
a). Acknowledge moments where offense, pride, resentment, or self-preservation limited your love.
b) Believe in your heart that God has forgiven your sins and cleansed
- Enforcement of the Victory of the Cross
a). Affirm that you have the mind of Christ and bitterness, hidden anger, and emotional walls are destroyed.
b). Declare that the love of God is perfected in you and expressed through you daily – to both the deserving and undeserving.
c). Command all the evil spirits influencing hate, discrimination, partiality, anger, resentment, bitterness, unforgiveness – and their relatives, to leave your world of influences and go at once to the feet of Jesus Christ.
d). Declare that love is your new normal and default in the matchless name of Jesus Christ.
- Intercession
Intercede for those wounded by betrayal, rejection, and emotional pain — that they may encounter God’s healing love – give and receive love as well, in Jesus name.
- Presentations:
a). Prayer lists –
with prayer and supplications make your requests known to God.
b). Goals: we are to submit our plans to God (read James 4:13-15)
i). Those who desire to live intentionally and not be a victim of happenstance – set goals for the upcoming season.
ii). Remember: Goals should reflect Godly values and your beliefs.
iii). Be ready to adjust them as you receive new insights from God.
c). Your vision and purpose in life: (Proverbs 29:18) without vision people perish.
What vision do you have for your life – here and the hereafter?
Do you know that there are positions and ranks in God’s Kingdom? – there are kings, lords, citizens, child-of-God, son-of-God, Man-of-God, Prince, etc.
Your life here on earth – your servanthood – determines your crown in the hereafter.
Don’t waste your time here on earth pursuing vanities – take your Christianity a notch higher.
#MyPrayer4you
I pray earnestly that you will be an expression of God’s love in your world.
You are set free from bitterness, hate, vengefulness, and are now filled with the fullness of God, grace for grace, in the matchless name of Jesus Christ.
Be healed and renewed in your mind and memory and receive the grace to love selflessly, in Jesus’s matchless name. Amein.
