Prayer Focus for Today: Eulogizing God.

We are to constantly offer praises to God,  which is the fruit of our lips (See Hebrews 13:15)

When you allow the challenges of life to overwhelm you, you will forget to be thankful for the things that are going well and complain about things that should have been better.

We should never behave like those who murmured against God in Old Testament times, and were destroyed.

They forgot how God, with a show of power, delivered them from an autocratic oppressor, supernaturally provided, sustained and protected them.

At the first sign of trouble, their memory became selective, and remembered only the good part of their slavery, and forgot about their inhumane lifestyle.

In order not to open doors for Divine wrath, count your blessings and thank God for them, one by one.

An attitude of gratitude elevates, whereas, Ingratitude attracts destruction.

Spend a few seconds to recall how gracious, merciful, forgiving, patient, and loving,  God has been to you.

Let Us Pray:

Let’s start with the lyrics of the song “You Deserve the Glory” which I found at Aaron Keyes site.

Verse:

You deserve the glory and the honor

And we lift our hands in worship

As we praise your holy name

Chorus:

For You are great, You do miracles so great

There is Noone else like You, there is no one else like you…

Prayer Starts here:

Our Father, thank you for being my God, for saving my Soul and enabling me to live the Higher life in Christ Jesus.

Forgive my ingratitude,  disrespect,  and my numerous character flaws.

You have been so faithful and have kept me in the faith.

I look back at my near death experiences, and thank you for preserving my life.

I thank you for all my failed relationships, for you delivered me from a life of regrets and sorrows.

Thank you for not only answering my prayers, but for not answering my death wish, when I was at my lowest in life, and I thought death was best.

You knew the great future you planned out for me, even while I was just a blob of blood in my mother’s womb.

If you had answered those ignorant prayers,  I would not have seen your goodness in the land of the living!

Thank You for being so patient with me, at those times when I screamed at you in frustration, and blamed you for all my wrong choices.

Thank you for emptying me of myself and filling me with yourself.

You have been so good to me and mine.

You healed all our diseases,  shielded us from the pandemic,  and indeed, none of the evils in the world touched us.

You are too marvelous for words. A thousand tongues will still be insufficient to praise you.

Yes indeed, you deserve all the glory.

On behalf of everyone who are connected or related to me by biology, marriage, adoption and faith,  we say thank You Awesome God, in the matchless name of Jesus Christ we pray.

Shalom from Hephzibah Christly,  TheSpiritualWarrior,  July 24, 2024.
