Session 1,Text Luke 17:12-19: #prayerFocus – Gratitude Attitude

The other day we mentioned how ingratitude was the bane of the children of Israel during their wilderness journey.

The grumblers and fault finders perished in the wilderness.

We have entered a new season with high hopes and expectations.

We have received words of prophesies that has welled up hope in us.

However, if we do not take steps that will lead us towards the fulfillment of those prophesies, they may never manifest.

I once heard the testimony of an illiterate African preacher who was told her ministry would expand to England.

And she would minister to foreigners. She said to the Holy Spirit, but I only speak my local dialect, how can that be?

And the Holy Spirit said to her, the vision is for an appointed time, therefore, work towards it.

From that day, she began to work on her English and when she was ready, the door of opportunity opened and she became a travelling Evangelist.

Today, her ministry has established institutes of learning, including a university.

So you see dear friends, you have a role to play in the fulfilment of God’s Word to you.

God Word to us for this season point us to His will that we appreciate-move forward and upward and grow stronger and stronger-see Job 17:9.

One of the ways to make progress and grow stronger is by the development of an attitude of gratitude.

Gratitude is the ability to be thankful, while Attitude is the way you feel about something.

In order to have a gratitude attitude, you have to train yourself to always be thankful for anything that comes your way.

If you lay it in your heart that God causes all things to work together for your good: because you love Him and are the called according to his purpose, your heart will always well up in thanksgiving: whether in adversity or prosperity.

For starters, what are you grateful for?

Looking back, I’m grateful that God did not answer some of my prayers at the time that I was so fixated on those things.

But when the answers eventually came, it was on time and sweet to have.

Spend sometime building up on your attitude. Bad attitude will delay the manifestations or fulfilment you are expecting.

Ingratitude alienate blessings. Start by saying thank you to every one with a smile.

Prayer

Father, thank you for everything I have had to go through to get here.

Thank you for your favors and lovingkindness. Your a

protection and discipline has kept me in line.

Thank you for allowing me make mistakes and coming to my rescue when I’m at the edge of the precipice.

Without your everloving presence, I would have been lost for eternity.

I know ABBA that you have high hopes for me. You desire that I leave where I’m at now and move on to another height.

Without you I can’t. I need you to give me a push up, give me clarity to understand specifically how you want me to transverse this new terrain.

I haven’t been here before, but you know the way. So help me do it well in accordance with your will, in Christ precious name I pray. Amein

The righteous keep moving forward and those with clean hands become stronger and stronger – Job 17:9

The Word of God that came to me: for this season is very encouraging.

Considering how our world is right now, with wars, rumors of wars earthquakes, devastating fires, extreme weather conditions and so on, is a clear indication that we are in the end times.

In the midst of the uncertainties and daily bad news in our world, God’s Word has the Good News: telling us that as His righteousness, we shall keep moving forward.

To move forward is to make advancement – to make progress.

Right living, right words, right actions will keep you going. You will make unprecedendent progress when you live the God kind of life, in this death – destined society.

When you live in this world like the people of the world, then, you will no longer be immune to the corruption that is in the world, which causes stagnation, vegetation and death.

Say to yourself “As the righteous, i keep moving forward”

God’s Word has come to us, showing us the direction He wants us to go, in this new season.

It is now our responsibility to to walk in that direction, and to work it out.

In Proverbs, we are told righteousness exalts,whereas sin brings disgrace– See Pr. 14:34.

Therefore, to appreciate and gain respect, you need to deal with those things in your life that attracts disrespect, malignity, disloyalty and other negatives.

This year has to be business unusual because God’s Word must produce in your life, what it talks about.

At the end of this year, you will look back and see how far God has brought you, in the matchless name of Jesus Christ.

God’s part is done, your part is in the doing-you have to make that word manifest in your life.

You must run with this Word this year. Write it down, rehearse it, memorize it and work out a plan, so that when you follow, it will manifest your accomplished goals.

You have got to stay focused and intentional. Be determined to move forward in your career, relationships, education, marriage, community, housing, etc.

Something has to give: if you need to drop some friends that are not adding value to you, please do so.

If you need to relocate from downtown or the inner city to uptown, then work it out.

Prayerfully pursue your goals. When you follow the path enlightened by God’s Word, you enjoy ease of movement.

God has called you to multiply/increase/replenish your talents and not to bury them.

The second part of our opening scripture says “those with clean hands become stronger and stronger”

In Psalm 24, we are told that only those with clean hands and a pure heart can share intimacy with God.

The word clean in Ps. 24, is from the Hebrew word naqiy, which means ‘innocent, blameless, free, guiltless, exempted (Strongs).

Even though we are God’s righteousness in Christ, we do commit sin. Sin attracts shame, disgrace etc and makes one unfit to share intimacy with God.

Be quick to confess your sins and walk in righteousness. Righteous is who you are in Christ and sinning is strange to you. It’s not something you should be doing as if you are under its power.

Understand that sin lo longer have dominion over you! It’s power is broken. You are not the helpless slave of habit but the victorious in Christ!

Sin allows for demonization, retrogression and stagnancy.

It follows therefore that, in order keep moving forward, and get stronger and stronger, we must appropriate the finished work of Christ daily, in our reality.

As Scriptures states,
“if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.” (1Jn 1:7).

The Greek word for cleanses in this verse is katharizo: it means to make clean, purge, or purify .(Strongs).

As we work towards achieving the God’s ideal for us this year, we cannot afford to entertain the unfruitful works of darkness.

As children if light, we must walk in the Light of God’s Word.

Although all things are permissible not all things are beneficial.

This is the year to quit that addictions or addictive behavior. You can’t continue to ruin your life with your hands 👐.

The spirit of addiction leaves you already, in Christ precious name.

How long will you continue to devalue your womanhood by continuing as the live – in – lover or the victim in an abusive relationship.

A large percentage of women are killed by their intimate partners. They stay put in an abusive marriage, because of emotional/sexual dependence, fear and lack of self worth.

That spirit influencing sexual immorality, dependence fear and related evils, leave you now, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Move forward in christ powerful name. By grace are ye saved through faith not through marriage.

Marriage is not a death wish.

If you desire marriage, you shall be married this year, for the reproach of late marriage /elderly singleness is rolled away.

Your business goals must change also. Enough already of feeling worthless and waiting for the big break.

Whatever your hands find to do, go ahead and do it, holding on to God’s word which says He will bless the works of your hands.

Idleness is gone from you. There is dignity in labor. I release to you now the grace of God that brings favor and ease of achievement, to be upon you. Your work shall bring profit, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Take your break now. Move forward – receive insight, concept and ideas that will cause your goods and services to experience an all time high, in Christ glorious name.

This year, you must be debt free. The power/stronghold your debtors have over you is broken now. You are set free. The reproach is rolled away. You shall lend to nations. Your economy is turned around, in the matchless name of Jesus Christ.

You are getting stronger and stronger. Healing is yours. Sicknesses, diseases and infirmity have no place in your body:Your body is God’s temple and will function so, in Christ Holy name.

You are the sought-after in your career. From today, you have stopped being the scapegoat. You will no longer be bypassed for promotion and sacked. That has ended for you, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ

Discrimination against you has finally ended. The fire of attraction and the spirit of acceptance is upon you.

People will call you blessed, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Glooooory to God. What an awesome God. We praise you God and lift your name on high. ABBA, take your place in our lives. Be enthroned mighty God, be magnified in our lives, in Christ precious name we have worshipped.

I am thankful to God for everyone who has been blessing me with material things as I bless with spiritual things. Your seeds will come back to you more abundantly, in Christ name.
