Session 1: Text: 2 Kings 4:1-2: #prayerFocus Provoking Change 2.

Yesterday, we discussed the need for you to understand your problems, decide not to allow the sequence of failure continue and then to know and synchronize with God’s plan for your life.

In Bible days, a nameless widow “LOOKED” and “SAW”, gloom, doom, economic slavery and generational poverty.

Her husband had died poor and indebted. She and her 2 sons inherited debts on top of their poverty.

They had no physical means of paying their debts and could not declare bankruptcy. Her husband’s creditors wanted her 2 sons as collateral damage.

Therefore, they were to go into economic slavery in order to settle their dead father’s debts.

What a horrible future awaited those young men and their mother.
It shall not be our portion in Jesus Christ matchless name.

Declare:

I declare that Christ Jesus has redeemed me me and my household from the curse of poverty and its related evils.

We are liberated from economic slavery, credit spending, indebtedness, emotional spending, and other poverty triggers.

From today, We enter into the blessings of Abraham through faith in CHRIST JESUS.

As heirs together with Christ Jesus and heirs of all things, we function in economic advantage over the systems of this world. We are blessings to our world, representing CHRIST to the peoples, establishing HIS Kingdom by financing Kingdom Expansion projects in Christ glorious name.

The widow saw a vision of a terrible future for her sons, herself and future generations.

The children of slaves are slaves too. She refused to compromise their Divine destiny.

She was not going to allow poverty’s increasing degeneracy in her bloodline. How can she accept that their condition was hopeless when they serve a living God.

Something had to happen for her. The paradigm had to shift very fast! Death took her husband and now debts wants to take her sons into slavery.

She must have reasoned that God is too faithful to reward the faithful service of her late husband by making her children economic slaves.

Dear people of God, poverty is not evidence of righteousness. Poverty is unrighteousness!

GOD is not unrighteous. HE rewards diligence. The silver and gold belong to God. By her testimony to the Prophet, her late husband was a ‘minster of GOD who served faithfully, and apparently died in active service as ‘the poor’.

His life was lived in poverty and his death compromised the future of her sons and the generations after them. And possibly, their grand parents before them were also poor!

And now, their condition had degenerated further to economic slavery. If something drastic is not done, things would degenerate further with subsequent generations. She could not be alive and see her sons waste the better part of their life suffering the effects of their Father’s ignorance of GOD’s principles for economic prosperity.

We Thank GOD for Mothers who know the GOD they serve! She just had to think outside the box! She prayerfully mapped out the strategy to provoke a DIVINE INTERVENTION that would result in an economic paradigm shift!

The widow sought the man of GOD- the prophet Elijah.

She would not suffer in silence nor accept the status quo. She sought Divine justice; by appealing to the righteous Judge of the universe. she laid claim to her Spiritual heredity- Go on! read her appeal-2 Kings 4:16 –

she said: “your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the LORD”:

What does that mean?- She was placing a demand for a miraculous Divine intervention!

With those words, she asked for deliverance from biological and marital hereditary issues, based on the relationship they had with GOD!

In essence, she declared her right to the benefits of salvation which CHRIST, the LAMB of GOD who was slain before the foundation of the world had attained for her and her household of faith(1 Peter 1:20).

She placed a demand that the grace of GOD be multiplied upon her and her off-springs.

That widow looked beyond the limitations of her biological, marital and environmental limitations; and looked into the unlimited goodness, expanded mercy, great grace and supernatural favors of GOD!!!!!

She stood her grounds on faith, against the continuation of negative hereditary trends, environmental conditioning and societal norms.

That widow was a woman of faith- an un-celebrated heroine of faith.

Even as her voice was speaking to the prophet, her heart was crying out to GOD:

PRAY dear friends:
“Thank you ABBA Father that my children will not carry the yoke of ancestral burdens and of curses. As descendants of Abraham, we are blessed beyond curses.

God Almighty, execute YOUR righteous judgement against all negative conditions in our lives.

Let there be a mighty move of God in our lives that would uproot manifesting evils from our lives.

Let there be a favorable paradigm shift in CHRIST name”.

Somebody, translate that into your personal prayer! Review your life and cry out to God against that degenerating trend of worthless and rigorous labor.

I speak to your condition and circumstances today: the burdens of generational poverty, disadvantages, servitude, mediocrity, marital failures, premature deaths of significant others, and all related economic, social and health issues be taken off your shoulders, in CHRIST name.

Today, all the yokes are all annihilated because of the Anointing, in CHRIST matchless name-See Isaiah 10:27.

Today, I declare; Salvation, healing, deliverance, forgiveness and deliverance from the consequences of sin is come into your life and family.

Your children will no longer follow negative family trends, nor suffer from inherited issues, or be plagued by genetically transmitted diseases nor suffer the consequences of inherited debts, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

The new season shall be debts free for you and yours. The enslavement of credit buying has ended. You have been made free.

Affirm

We are the transitional generation!, the righteousness of GOD in CHRIST JESUS, we are exalted above economic hardship, lack and limitations. As a chosen generation, royal priests of GOD, and a holy nation: we go upward and forward, and enjoy economic liberty.

And because we are born from above , we are above the world’s economic systems; our needs are met according to the riches of GOD in glory by CHRIST JESUS and not by world economic principles.

GOD grace is abounding to us to always have all sufficiency in everything so that we may have an abundance for every good deed.

As it is written, “HE SCATTERED ABROAD, HE GAVE TO THE POOR, HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS ENDURES FOREVER.”(2Corinth 9:8), in the matchless name of Jesus CHRIST.

Things to do to facilitate a paradigm shift:

* Before the widow could accurately present her case, she did a reality check.

* You need to have a quiet time with God.

* Evaluate your life to determine: your spiritual, economic etc. Status?

*What do you see?

* Prepare a situation report- Review your past, your family background, trends, characteristics, challenges etc.

* Compare with your present life What do you see- a replay of your past in your present? A continuation of past ancestral fallouts?
*And yet you cannot set aside time to prevail in prayers to provoke a paradigm shift?

As for me and my household, next year will be business unusual because the grace of God abound to us. 🙌
