In my missionary work that  has spanned over 2 decades this July : I have encountered so many distressed single Moms. Rather unfortunately,  some were ready to give up on life because they could no longer shoulder the burden of providing for their children alone. 
But by God’s grace, we Connected, Assisted, Related , Empowered (C.A.R.E) them to carry on and not quit. 

In my part of Africa of which I am aware of, most men don’t take responsibility for their children. It’s left for the Moms to provide shelter, clothing, training, discipline, emotional support etc., for the kids. 
Because of high level illiteracy and poverty, most women fall prey to the wiles of playboys. They are deceived into cohabitation without marriage – in a common-law marriage. 
And when the relationship turn sour, she is left with no security for herself and for her offspring. 

She is left out cold!. Most times  she is homeless, jobless and without any education or skills to take care of herself and her children. 
Are you surprised at the rise in violence, human trafficking, mental illness and electronic fraud?
Hardship has eroded values from grass root levels. Government cannot solve these problems bedevilling humanity.
We are in dire need of Divine Intervention. 
GOD is willing to use you. 

But are you willing to be used of GOD to make a difference in your world?
Well, my passion is my calling. 
Am passionate about improving the circumstances of women and educating young girls.  These  issues are very close to my heart.
It’s no surprise therefore when GOD in HIS Omniscience gave me the Mandate  to “match the Great Commission with Christlike Compassion”; by “representing GOD’s love to a hurting world”. 

That was how the Hephzibah Missionary Foundation was birthed.

What are you passionate about? 

Translate it to reality or give support to those doing it.

Over the years, in our own little way, the Hephzibah Missionary Foundation which I pioneered, have been giving shelter to homeless persons, supporting the education of young persons, giving vocation training to women(majority of whom are distressed single Mom) and young persons. 
We give them support to develop their skills.

We are also involved in an apprenticeship placement scheme. We take responsibility for the ‘woman/girl child’ to understudy in a business/trade that they are interested in, with a view of empowering them to own their own business. At the end,  they become economically  independent  and be the Mom for their Children that they ought to be.
One of the most important thing you can do for a woman/girl child is to empower her with an education/vocation/skill. Once she has an education or has developed her skills, she can then have control of her income, have choices , change her life and give her children a great future.

In my Missionary work in a rural community of Lagos state, Nigeria, I have come across many women who continue in abusive relationships because of economic dependence.  

It is so sad to say that because of  adverse economic conditions, even children are also victims of repeated sexual and physical abuses alongside their moms. 
GOD in HIS infinite mercy through us have converted their tribulations to testimonies.
GOD has not forgotten anyone but your delay in obeying the promptings of the Holy Spirit has contributed in elongating their season of afflictions.
You are a very vital link in reaching the world for Christ and setting the captives free.
It is by God’s expanded mercy that you are in a good marriage today and enjoying some measure of affluence.
There are so many out there (men/women) who are absolutely shattered with no sense of direction when their relationship ended.
Some went into depression and ended up as inmates at mental institutions. 

Some went into prostitution to boost their economy. 

And in some other people, their psychopathic tendencies activated and created more jobs for the security forces.
In your own little way, you too can be used by GOD to intervene by your Partnership Involvement with grass root Christian organizations that are impacting lives.
It is not your lack of error in judgement that saved you from such a fate as these women and girls: It is God’s grace that turned your mistakes to miracles.
Anyone of those women the benefitted from our C.A.R.E projects  could have been you, your mom, sister, niece, friend or friend’s family.

 Its the reality of our world  today that evil is prevailing because people are silent in the face of wickedness. 
As Queen Rania of Jordan once said; ” once you feel that others are like you, then you want for others what you want for yourself, and that way you start helping them”.

Don’t forget to say a prayer for the woman and girl child today and prayerfully consider how best you can touch more lives for Christ. 
The GREAT COMMISSION is a Divine command for every Christian.

And for that MOM out there, who is being there for her children against all odds; GOD will richly reward your labor of love over your children.

They will turn out well in Christ name.

 GOD will settle you, give you resounding laughter for all the tears you have shed. 

Your place of shame will convert to fame, and where you were rejected, you shall be called sought after, in Christ name.
Please MOM, don’t give up on your children. Be there for them. Shalom!
