‘The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results” (James 5:16)

Praying to God is the regular business of every Christian. But the prayer that produces wonderful results has to be purposeful, intentional, fervent and persistent.

The Christian is a child of God and thus can boldly approach Him in prayer.

Before Christ came and reconciled us to God, only priests had that privilege. Sin stood between us and God whose holiness could not behold sin.

But when Jesus was crucified on the cross, all the handwriting of ordinances that was against us was nailed to that Cross.

And not only did Christ wash away all our sins with His precious blood, HE blotted out the handwriting of ordinances and gave us His very own righteousness as a gift.

When you got born again, you became the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus

Your righteousness is a gift from JESUS because it is entirely dependent on HIS perfect performance and HIS perfect obedience, not yours.

And since Christ is righteous and you are in Him, you cannot lose your righteousness.

The gifts and calling of God is without repentance.-they are irrevocable. God cannot lie nor can he deny His Words

So dear friend, because you are forever righteous in CHRIST, GOD hears your prayers every time you pray.

Apostle James tells us that the earnest prayer of a righteous man—that’s YOU—“produces wonderful results”. Not just plain results, but wonderful results!

What provisions do you need today- Favor for an interview, wisdom to clear your debts, healing for your children?

As a righteous person in Christ , boldly ask Jesus Christ for what you need in prayer and expect to see wonderful results!

You do not have because you do not pray.

I remember back in my Bible College days how I used to make a list of every single one of my needs. When praying, I would read each item and discuss it with ABBA.

There was this day that I wrote 3 pairs of shoes on my list. When I got to the number where it was written, I heard God say to me :

“Hephzibah, why do you need three pairs of shoes? “

I had to explain that I needed those three pairs in different colors because I was doing a lot of Evangelical work. It was necessary to have the right shoe for the right terrain because I was doing a lot of walking.

I got all the colors I requested plus my favorite color which I did not add. I got all at a bargain and was also able to get some for my aides as well.

From that time onward, I write my prayer requests as a letter to ABBA.

Be fervent in your prayer. Be intentional. Be focused. God bless you.
